"Bot or Human?" The game that requires the player to guess some tweet/comment on any social media platform that almost similar (spammers/rage bait/arguments). And with the ChatGPT that might actually functioned as opposite debaters will work so hard
This is an increasing problem, but at least Mama Mio is having fun with it~ I don't use Twitter X enough to notice this, but I'll do my part to keep the MioFa Forest clean, should the opportunity present itself!
Unfortunately reporting them does nothing. I'm not sure if there's even anything there any more, it's starting to feel like the report system is just a simple script that waits 10 minutes before telling you that they've found nothing wrong with the reported account. All you can do is block them so that you can't see them yourself.
At this point the elon either fired or overworked anyone who could do any amount of content moderation, to the point where it's basically non-existent. Unless of course it's something he personally dislikes, then Mr. "free speech absolutist" is quick to usher bans - even for things that are very well within his own ToS.
Japanese companies, and therefore vtubers at large, unfortunately aren't likely to stop using twitter until it becomes literally impossible to do so. Rapidly making big changes is not their forte, and they don't understand or care about the platform's problems.
I really appreciate Mio's efforts to keep MioFa Forest free of the impression zombies! I barely use Twitter/X, mostly using it to keep up with Mio's posts and occasionally seeing what the other Hololive members and fanartists are up to, so I didn't know this was that big of an issue. I'm glad that Mio is at least finding some satisfaction in keeping her reply section clean, though I wish this wasn't a problem in the first place.
He bought it for $44 billion. And since I can't imagine anyone offering him much more than a couple of unchecked lotto tickets and an old pair of Nikes for it as it currently is, sadly I doubt it'll be on the market anytime soon.
My version of 'acceptance' in the grieving stages was starting to use links with x instead of twitter. Even though it's blatantly obvious Musk needs to go, he's just never going to. Nobody can make him. He's the richest man. We'll all go before he does, and he'll see to that. Hoping to be proved wrong.
@@whateverdope Because he's a con artist who's juggling his advertisement campaigns (for things that never release as advertised) to siphon as much money out of the public sector as he can, by amassing a cult following that makes him appear legitimate.
Bots in twitter are certainly quite annoying, I totally get that. One thing I'm concerned though is the fact that I have a very limited knowledge of japanese, I hope Miosha doesn't think I'm a bot lol
Twitter becomes more and more unusable every day since Musk bought it...Mio really has been fighting the good fight. I've blocked hundreds myself, but trying to block all of the bots is next to impossible...thank you for making the reply section so peaceful, Mio! 🙏 The other thing we got from this convo is that Mio actively checks our profiles as well...she knows you retweeted that spicy untagged art.👁👁

Sometimes they belong to someone At other times, it is the responsibility of governments to censor our content as Arabs. In all cases, beware of these bots!!!!! And in the end, Glory to Miosha -Mama!!!!! 1:33
What a lot of unnecessary time wasted because the owners don't have something in place to properly manage spam/abuse. That goes for a good portion of comments sections on this site as well.
It sucks that she has to go to so much effort to keep her replies clean of bots, but I am very grateful for all of that. I still only really see fellow MioFa in her replies 🙏 It's also a nice reminder that she does enjoy reading our replies. A good push for me to put more thought into mine, as poor as my Japanese may be ❤
it's really a plague on X right now, every single comment section is filled with them and all of them have blue checkmark lol at least the ones that I cared to block since they spam 4 comments in a row most of the time
I haven't bothered use twitter even before the musk acquisition, but I remember how excited Fubuki was to get her blue checkmark. Now, with musk's genius low paywall, it is absolutely meaningless.
It’s really sweet that Mio’s taking the time to block these bots so that her replies don’t have any of ‘em hanging around, and so that she can read our replies…! What a wonderful oshi I have…
If possible, the community could help to identify bot accounts in the replies so both talents and management know which to remove while reducing the possibility of blocking anyone accidentally.
The more you interact, the more likely you are to get blocked by people. That's why I keep a clean account for all of my normal browsing and favorite creators, and I only interact on my spicy account.
At this point, Twitter is scorched earth. I refuse to update the app to X because then I mostly avoid the impression bots posts, and because there's really no need to. I'm only still around because hololive is on it. As soon as Bluesky allows more animated media directly I think it'll be a more viable option going forward. Mastodon is still a 50-50. No word yet on the holoplus app or when it'll be released globally or that'd be the next spot. Also really important to note: the people who complain that they're blocked (e.g. those who tweet about it) aren't the kind of people who would know to contact Cover privately about the matter to get it resolved, so if suddenly there's a lot of people who were "falsely" blocked talking about it, then they're giving themselves away a bit. It does suck though, kinda wish that something better besides abandoning the platform could be done 🫤 we all know those bots aren't gonna be banned as long as they do numbers for the new owner
Mio is based. The impression zombies made twitter a lot worse, you can never see a good reply on posts these days because it's always buried by these bots and a lot of the time people trying to make a quick buck from something that isn't even theirs.
yeah those reply bots are so annoying lmfao, apparently there's some websites that automatically block all the blue checkmarks on twitter and im honestly considering using it 🤔
Mio, you can keep calling it Twitter. That's it's proper name. Don't give Elon the satisfaction of acknowledging it by the name he wants. it's a stupid name, anyway. X is not a platform any major company should be using anymore these days. I particularly don't see the point of VTubers having to waste their times with a platform that is essentially adversarial to them, and a cesspool that will never raise a finger to address some of the worst problems in the community it's trying to build. To me, nowadays, trying to build business on X is the same as trying to build business on 4chan or something. It's counter productive, and the better portions of the Vtuber community won't be there anyways. But I do understand it's a convenient choice. It's there, it's working, and you don't have to build a community, advertisement revenue and whatnot from scratch. TH-cam is kinda like that too, but the balance hasn't been warped too much on the bad side just yet. I mean, it certainly has in terms of bots and toxic comments, but that's mostly because TH-cam doesn't care about moderating and controlling channels. X on the other hand is actively trying to make the platform more toxic and worse for the most vulnerable users. I don't really have an active participation in social networks anymore other than TH-cam to say what is better, but if I was in a community driven business, nowadays I'd be looking into self hosted, federated, open source communities for full control. Something like one of the Mastodon derivates. But this would need a larger effort by not only Hololive, but perhaps the Vtuber sector in general, to build up a platform better fit for need.
