There’s so many features the older Smackdown vs Raw had that got taken out. I remember in SVR11 or something like that if you chopped someone enough times on the chest it would get all red and bloody
That’s still in 2k23 it’s just not as visible. In 2k19 though it was very visible
Aew fight forever has extreme potential if they can add more match types , edit attires colors , fix up some of the gameplay like the pin/submission logic make it more like the no mercy pins and submission logic , slow down damage and momentum or give us that option
It has a fantastic core gameplay but very bare bones in every single way

@@Reefizer literally every single wrestling game ever made has alot more content than this, except maybe WCW/NWO Revenge, even No Mercy’s story was waay longer. This is nowhere near worth 60$ day one with hopes of them keeping their word plus pay walls.

The crowd is key for me. Hate 2K's crowd not reacting to big moves/spots. Same with their announcers. In AEW the big moments/spots feel big because the crowd actually reacts to them adding a lot to the gameplay.
It’s definitely fantastic in AEW but WWE 2K23 does that as well better than the other ones

@@angelserrano9049 Did you PLAY Rey Mysterio's 2K22 Showcase? They got SO lazy with Showcase that not only did 80% of the cutscenes were just the real life cutscenes but they DIDN'T EVEN TRY RECREATING THE ORIGINAL AUDIO for both COMMENTARY and the CROWD. So you just watch the actual real life matches, but muted with the referee's face blurred.

@angelserrano9049 As someone who put hundreds of hours into the game, I can whole heartily tell you that is just not true. 90% of big spots/moments are greeted with the most mild reaction at best. Worse is when they don't even acknowledge or react to those momemts as if a RKO from the second rope is just a normal scoop slam.
Aew miss
1.Long entrances.
2.Better submission pin system.
3. Better creative arena/wrestlers.
But i prefer aew is a arcade like here come to pains was. Not 2k.
It looks like a lot of fun, but i might wait until price drops or the next game comes out in the next few years. I think the will do a really good job with the second game if they listen to everyone's feed back.

Definitely wait it should have been 40 dollars max. You really don't get a lot from this game. It's fun for sure, but for a game in development for 2 years, it feels unfinished, and there's not a lot to keep you coming back for long.

They’re not releasing a new game they’re just going to keep updating this one. It’s really run, my bro and I talk everyday about it. I’m having the most fun playing with people online. It does suck not having the full roster and not knowing whose actually online
But game sales, and profits will play a big part in their direction with the video games. If you want to se a second game, or improved game. Then buy it!

The thing that bothers me about FF is that if it had a bit more time in the oven to give us a more open ended career mode or something akin to Universe mode or Create-a-PPV, a more robust creation suite and more match variety; it would have immediately become a direct threat to WWE 2K. They already destroy 2K23 in the weapons and overall environment interactivity and the gameplay has massive potential with a couple of tweaks. I'm definitely looking forward to buying it once a couple of updates have dropped and we get a clearer picture of its direction going forward.
To be fair, the expansion of the creation suite will likely be less of a headache to put together compared to how the gameplay is so now that the core gameplay is solid, AEW can focus their attention to just expanding other modes of the game. Comparing FF to the WWE 2K games, they always change the gameplay rather than expanding on it so they can shift their focus to other areas in the game. I'd rather have fun gameplay and a limited creation suite than an expansive creation suite with crappy gameplay.
Things like that take a lot of time & money to create. They just dont have the resources to make a game with a Universe mode or great Creation suite. 2K themselves barely pull it off with how bug ridden it usually is.
@@TheLuw1997 the game was in development for 3 years. The lack of modes and options has nothing to do with that, it's evidently what they were trying to accomplish when they called it an "arcade style game", yet its launch price says otherwise. I've only had minor issues with 2K's creation suite and it's mostly things not looking like the material it is, but I have yet to face a game breaking bug.
@@NickPR87 Firstly, 3 years is not a long amount of dev time. And second, I don't think you understand how hard it is to implement those things. Like I said, time AND money. Yukes are not getting the same resources they were from 2K & WWE. It doesn't matter if they added another 2 years of time (which they can't afford btw), they cannot do what 2K does.
@@TheLuw1997 agreed. Plus, FF being built with the idea of a single game release that will be updated throughout its lifecycle with great core gameplay so the focus can be on other modes is great.
A lot of folks in comments stating short entrances at AEW as disadvantage. But i dont think so. I'm usually ending up disabling or skipping entrances at WWE games at some point. Seeing full entrances after several hours of playing gets old quickly. So i really think short entrances is a great idea.

Nah, 2k23 didn't cut anything, 2k22 did. Because they restarted from ground up after broken 2k20.

Actually I suggest we all buy this game, even if you’re not a fan of AEW, I think if WWE and 2K sees this game do very well, they’ll consider making a smaller WWE2K series along side the main more simulation one. If not implement some ideas into newer WWE2K games.
I don't think anyone should buy this game if they don't enjoy it the game doesn't seem worth 70$

The running is a problem in AEW FF
Most of the things in AEW I could do without, but really like the chain wrestling and the interaction with the environment

if FF had an equivalent of a universe mode with cutscenes that play it would def be on my to buy list, don't get me wrong the game looks fun but it lacks in modes and variety of match types which i hope they address in the future, right now i would only be justified buying it if it was on sale for like 50% off or something.

I’d love to see more modes, but all in all a great wrestling game. I love both series and there are pros as well as cons to them.
This is a cool game especially if you like the old THQ games, its fun to play, but it is no where near 2K23. Hell all it does is crash on the PS4 if you keep your internet on, and $11.99 for FTR is just dumb. Wait for it to drop in price.

Grab weapons from the crowd, More weapons, Chain Wrestling, Breakable LED, and Diving table finisher (Which I thought was possible) are the only things i can consider "Better", Everything else is just "Hey we have this gimmick that you wont care about after 3 times and or gets annoying after seeing it over and over again"

Championship moved more when you fight with it than the actual winning scene
WWE 2K23 is going for a simulator feel while AEW is going for an arcade feel. Both games are different but i feel we are quite tired of the simulator type of gameplay in WWE 2K series. SVR '07 was imo the best of both. Lets bring back the arcade feel from the smackdown and early SVR games.
Could at least have some background music during the match this game is not worth $70 at all 😂
This game is much better than TNA Impact, that's for damn sure! The Ultimate X match was pretty fun, but other than that, TNA Impact was aweful!

Just a few things to mention with WWE 2k23. 1. You can use your belt as a weapon at anytime, you will find it by the announcer table or if you attack or get attacked during your entrance with the belt
2. You can play as the ref in 2k23 as well, while not officially unlockable they are not hard to download
3. You can have mix gender matches with male vs female, while not officially it’s not hard to change the character hex ID from 0(male) to 1(female).
4. Both genders can hold any belt of opposite sex in 2k23, it’s the same as the hex editor for number 3.
Lastly the biggest thing that 2k23 has that is a HUGE advantage over AEW is the game is moddable, allowing you to add completely new assets to the game as you can see with some modded wrestlers and arenas, the mods are still somewhat simple but are improving overtime.
I did laugh a little when I seen Jey Uso trip off the ladder during the ladder dive explanation, that was pretty funny.
This video is from the standpoint of playing the game, not going into deep mods. This game is just all around more fun than 2k. I stopped playing 2k out of boredom a while ago.
Except FF allows most of this stuff without mods, which are not always available for console. I'm just glad that 2K hasn't curtailed modding as it's helped with a lot of issues they haven't addressed as developers.
Changing id in WWE games is bad because they start having other gender's animations, commentary etc., better to use script that unlocks that normally.
Problem is, Fight Forever is awful.

The major difference i get from aews game as opposed to wwe 2k23 is it matches the product that’s aired wwe is a more publicly traded company hence why it has to adhere to certain guidelines more than aew aew is privately owned (to my knowledge i could be wrong) and doesn’t have to adhere to the same guidelines as wwe wwe has been in serious shii since the 80’s steroid scandal aew is a new company entirely. Gameplay now being put back in the conversation wwe has had to essentially give a watered down version of past wwe games especially since 2k has been doing the game aew i has more leeway by being here less time
I have both games and i have played bith games quite a lot. The only thing fight forever does better is lose ylur interest faster. There is just nothing to do in fight forever

First you just showed in wwe finisher through the table Second wwe 2k23 has weapon finisher too but tbh aew has better graphics (my opinion) and this thing about weapons and entrieses is really good
Yeah I was wondering what I missed… The video says “you can’t use a diving finish through a table in 2K” while showing exactly that.
The graphics in AEW FF look underwhelming. What I can't understand is the poor presentation of the AEW product, with the lack of authentic full entrances. Moreover, despite having ample time to develop this game, they couldn't include a commentary team. In this day and age of gaming, we should expect more advancements. While I understand the nostalgia for "No Mercy," we're not receiving the value that matches its price. How can this game even be compared to 2k, especially when WWE 2k23 has improved upon the staleness that Yukes was starting to show?

People saying this is better then 2k23?! I legit played 5 hours with a friend then we hopped over to 2k and did a 5 man elimination table match. I mean COME ON! The game play is fun but I enjoy 2k's The story mode is horrible and yay a lame battle royale is coming soon cant wait!

They don't have the trio like tag team along with trios titles, need to work on the entrance need to see the whole thing. They didn't add the women's tag team cup tournament: the deadly draw & it's not a cage on the game cause I want to do the bucks vs lucha Brothers in that 5 star match for the titles. The most thing I want is when they going to make it when you have 20 to 40 ppl in the ring at one time that would be off chain. My last thing make titles & characters I know it's AEW 1st game but what they got it now I know it's going to get better as long they make the wrestlers as the real ones it's going to be awesome cause the wrestlers are not water down they as real as you can get on this game. But I hope in the next story mode they can add the bucks & Sammy's youtube channel pages to give a little more fun on their off day inter acting with fans like taking pictures & signing autograph & going looking for their action figures in different cities.
I still think 2k is overall better there's just a lot missing in aew fight forever and it's also a horrible career mode and if the career mode is horrible what I'm supposed to do if I get bored of the same game modes over and over I just feel like this game is definitely a disappointment with all the bugs and crappy gameplay mechanics and pointless gameplay mechanics it's their first game and I hope for the best but this is bad

I like 2k games and aew fight forever thier both good games to play so and sure aew fight forever is not close to 2k23 but it wasn't supposed to be like 2k at all so if you want to play simulation style 2k23 is for you and if you enjoy arcade type of feeling the. Aew fight forever is for you i like both styles because i play both simulation games and arcade games so ill say this there are good things about aew fight forever. Been playing FF since yesterday. Game has potential. IF they add more stuff. Cause honestly I don’t care about weapons and belts or skateboards. They need to add more wrestlers, match types , attires , more customization, new moves , new arenas. Otherwise let’s wait for Fight Forever 2.

There are some aspects of AEW fight forever that have which 2k hasn’t got, such as inter gender marches, bard wired matches and more weapons like pins in lights out match
But overall AEW is absolutely trash compared to 2k
Kid nowadays maybe only knew wrestling game made by 2K...only graphic getting better but story, gameplay and controls totally sucks with bunch of bugs too.
