I agree that the Omega Men issue is probably the best individual book but you have all four issues of Batman Year One which you could get $50-$75 for. You also have all six issues of Kraven's Last Hunt which should be an easy $75 for the lot. Also, those Amazing Spider-Man issues in the 250s or 260s have value too. I think you easily made your money back 4x or 5x over. All of this does depend on condition.

Wow, nice pick up! Well worth $40
Definitely good box of comics. Might wanna take a class on how to handle and grade comics basics to get most value. Grabbing them by the edge like you did on occasion gives spine ticks which destroy value fast. There were some minor great comics you guys over looked. Great find.

Yeah, dude literally gets this for 40, knows nothing about anything, then gets on EBay and sells Thundercats for 90, while I see other newsstand issue 1 listings sell for 50-55 max😂 dude is a clown

I have/had a small collection of comics as a kid, but nothing like these, mostly late 1980s and early 1990s issues. I'm mostly in to Magic the Gathering and GI Joe as far as collecting goes which are somewhat adjacent. One of the best things in doing this those is being able to get these hidden gems into the hands of collectors.

Great get. The Thundercats newsstand and Masters of the Universe #1 each paid for the total price. Add in the Omega Man (1st Lobo), Spectacular Spider Man #90 (2nd Black Suit), Batman Year One set, Crisis on Infinite Earth set,
that Johnny Quest comic on top of the pile just to the left of the box for most of the video has a Dave Stevens cover....his stuff has been going way up in value with collectors... all the weird animal books were other companies response to TMNT's popularity in the 80's... the Batman/Outsiders has great art from Alan Davies.... That thick book depending what printing it is could be worth some cash...it's The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller
the Nam is a good series with great art by Michael Golden the issues thru about 30 have great art and stories a fun read... that Xmen/Titans book is great.... the black cover Spiderman #1 by Todd McFarlane is good... the Man of Steel by John Byrne got me back into reading Superman and the Crisis books had some pretty crazy character deaths for the 80's (the Flash and Supergirl died)... The Batman Beast mini series is cool too. and a lot of the spidermans were a crossover between the different books where Kraven the Hunter buries Spiderman, a great run of comics.... that box had my childhood in it
Fun to see you go through this box. A much much bigger percentage of keys than you usually see in a mystery garage box. Many first appearances, keys, and classic 80’s storylines. I would replace all of those old sticky bags and boards ASAP. Find a friend who knows comic grading and see which of the keys are worth sending to CGC to get graded. It is hard to tell from the camera, but you could have 20-30 books worth getting graded. Graded books sell for a much much higher price. All the best.
Grading for that era of comic is up to about $40 to $50 per book. I would be selective with about the 10 best ones, first. Gonna run between $400 to $500 for CGC to do this. 🙂

that Wolverine mini series is worth some money and a great read.... TMNT #1 is a bigger size book... not as big as a magazine but bigger then a regular comic

Based on my research, I think the death of Gwen Stacy was Issue #121 which we don't have.

a quick way to determine age is simply looking at the price on the comic itself. a 10 cent book is going to be very old then it goes up from there. but take into account condition. if they are in bad shape they will be worth less. also if its missing pages or ripped pages. also if the value stamp is cut out, that significantly drops in value.

They are not trash they're worth a lot of money with a lot of Frank Miller you have a lot of the Spider-Man I was you I'd take a lot of those to a comic book store he'll probably get a few bucks for it I'd probably buy all the other Batmans from you

Near the end of the video Green Lantern 201 is a very good issue. It’s the 1st appearance of the green lantern Kilowog and is worth a decent amount if it’s in good shape. Nice video!

I caught that too, and it looked like it was a newsstand so anytime you see a newsstand check to make sure it’s not a Mark jeweler variant, which will make it considerably more valuable

Peter Parker protective Spider-Man concentrated a lot on Peter Parker's life and then eventually became a crime book there is a Spider-Man in their worth a couple of bucks if you have the entire run of Craven's last hunt

This came up recommend, I'm pleased it did, it reminds me of my brother's back in the day , I'm in 🏴 and they used to buy comics in the late 70's/80's... buy them and then take them over to a shop in liverpool {go on the ferry} & more than doubled their money, I just didn't understand, I did wonder why they kept them pristine in a bag ... after reading them , they made quite a few pounds from them...I hope you do really well with them 🤞🏻

ok, dont use ebay to determine value! that does not necessarily determine the value of a comic! that is just what someone either wants to over charge for or what someone is willing to pay for a book!
We use eBay as a guideline because we primarily sell on eBay. The comps we so are generally recent sold comps and similar condition in most cases to the items that we have. Thanks for watching!

Get a camera stand, stand in front of it, because less yapping behind the camera its annoying. Good find ...on books. Keep in mind the conditions most that you posted 170+ are 3-4 condition might be worth what you played for the lot

you may have missed on Star Wars #1 but I'm pretty sure that Star Wars #2 is the .35 cent variant that is worth $500+ in that condition! You easily have $2000+ worth of comics. Not bad for $40.
Unfortunately it was the reprint as well, I think my thumb may have been over it in the video, however it still has okay value from what I am seeing. No doubt we probably still have close to that much value in comics from this box though. Thanks for watching! :)

Never press your thumb into the spine like you did on just about all of them. You create spine stress, creases with color breaking lines.

You kinked the spine of just about every book in there. If you're a card guy, it's like you opened a box of cards, and dropped each one on a corner, or flaked the edge while putting them in sleeves. I truly wish someone else had found those.
