The many things I could list that pissed me off is 1. She denied him food when he wanted it. 2. James hated that H stared at him when he ate. Chinas orphanages are grossly underfunded and it’s not hard to see why he would obsess about food. 3. H couldn’t speak English but did they try to learn Mandarin to communicate with him? Nope. 4. When they got sick of him they locked him in a room with nothing to keep him occupied. 5. Her snarky comments when discussing his behaviors.. which she shared constantly with her viewers. 7. I believe she verbally and physically mistreated him.. 8 the fucking duct tape... 9. Money 10. Money 11. The trip to Bali immediately after kicking him to the curb. 12. They were heartbroken until he was placed in that car to leave his home. They dusted their hands of him, turned their backs and walked back inside their fab house H helped them buy
My one consolation is NOBODY will EVER forget what this vile pair did to that poor little boy.

With the Mandarin, why is that not something the orphanages help a little with (the responsibility is completely on Myka and James) but how can you not be expected to learn basic words, or at least be told how they did communicate with H at the orphanage to make the transition at least a tiny bit easier 🤔 they never mentioned anything about what they were doing in any regard for transition that I recall which is unacceptable.
They can claim all they want that they did everything they could, we all saw it unfold and what's worse is they only showed what they wanted us to see.. which means they thought that was good ... Imagine what was not seen 😔

Imagine that moment when Myka & James dumped poor little H for the last time. Actually I cannot imagine it. I wonder what they were feeling in that moment. It is so gut wrenching to think about. I wonder how their other children are doing. I'm sure those poor kids are going to have issues over losing their brother in the manner they did. I wouldn't be surprised if the kids disown their parents when they're older after realising mum & dad are psychopaths.
Yep i honestly think they thought he was a terminal case. But when they found out he was going to live, they thought to themselves we cant control him now that hes little imagine when he becomes bigger and stronger what will we do with him then? And thats when their fake asses decided to rehome him
Straight up admit I was one who was like “why are you so hateful towards these family vloggers? You’re jealous!” I even wanted to believe Myka had a legitimate reason for doing what they did. BUT then I really started paying attention and realized your point. Now, I’m not against all of them (mostly 98% of them lol) bc I don’t believe they all are exploiting their children, but 100% see the LeBrant family and many others. So I apologize for any rude comments I may have left on past videos. I now understand your point and you’re right.

I agree with you on not being against all family vloggers but I still watch all the videos. I like to see everyone's point of view because they don't have to feel the same way as me. One thing I think we can all agree on is this family is the worst of them ALL!

"there is not a minute that I didn't try my hardest" bullshit. almost daily, I think to myself, "I could be better. I should have done more with my kids. Do they watch too much TV? I shouldn't have lost my temper. I shouldn't have said this or that. I should read more. I should do more with them." I doubt myself as a mom, all. The. Time. My husband says it's the curse of a good mom. (I hope he's right.) But I literally do not know one mom out there that is 100% confident in how they're raising their kids. Except Myka.

My son is 40 & I still think about what I could have done better.. he turned out great but I think I was just damn lucky.. not spending more time with him in his formative years is the biggest regret of my life & I’ll go to the grave with that unfortunately. I implore any young parent please spend as much quality time with your children as possible!
I just hope wherever that little boy is that he is enjoying his new life and as for Myka and her husband I hope they step on a lego everyday for the rest of their lives

The whole incident, which woke us up to the exploitation of children to family vlog channels. Too bad it took Myka discarding Huxley for people to start speaking out and exposing it and not before that.
People have been exposing family channels for years but this situation got alot more attention towards them than before.

@Matt Jones There's been many cases that shows otherwise. Have you heard of daddyofive? 7 passengers? Both shown that the kids don't want to be on camera. Many cases of kids being coerced to act certain ways in videos, the ace family and the latest family channel (forgot her name) got exposed for that. I'm not saying family channels should never be allowed but there needs to be laws in place that protect these children like they do with child actors. For example they shouldn't have a camera shoved in their faces all day, there should be limits on what you can share about them online, another example, one kid had her first period broadcasted everywhere and another's first bra shopping was online. Both kids were highly upset about that. Especially the money aspect, these family channels wouldn't be where they are today without the kids, do you think these parents that have 100% control of the money are saving any of that for the kids in the future? Do you think these parents are taking them to therapy for their mental health for them? I'm willing to bet they're not.
Huxley’s empty room and being put to bed early while the bio kids stayed up and watched movies is what made me the most angry. that says everything about how much they loved and wanted him... Jack nothing. They likely did want a terminal kid so they could cash in on his death.
That’s the most disturbing part. The have “family time,” but he’s excluded. He was so othered in that family.
I agree that they probably thought he was going to be terminally ill, and then they rehomed him when they realized they couldn't deal with his "issues" (as she called them) for the rest of their lives.
I totally agree, they wanted a child that was terminal. Then the reality hit that he might need to live with them for life. Sick sick sick.
The saddest part about your comment is that it is true! They wanted a terminal child for views with the added bonus of not needing to care for said child for years b/c they would die. So sad and heartless!!
They thought he had a brain tumor and that he was going to die. When they found out he wasn’t going to die they panicked. In that interview she did she straight up said they were freaked out when they found out her wasn’t terminal. I despise the Stauffers. I really hope H is happy and thriving....he deserves the best of everything and all the love and kindness in the world....❤️
I think they thought they couldn’t lose. They would get him an operation and be the white saviors, or he’d die and they’d get all the sympathy. Either way, it was all about views and money. Disgusting.

See I think if it were true. A trained professional told them that. They would’ve released the name of said professional.
If I had to guess, maybe professionals told them H "needs more," meaning- he needs more from THEM. His parents.
And perhaps they were referring to this recommended "need for more," while conveniently omitting the fact that they were the ones who were supposed to provide it.

I 💯 believe that they adopted him thinking he had a brain tumor and that he wouldn't live long. They were upset when they got him and learned that he wasn't terminal and would have a life long commitment of taking care of him. They weren't expecting that.
Yes! I just made a similar post. I will always believe they got H thinking they wouldn’t have him long. That he would die, and they would be lifted up high by being the white saviors who saved the little orphan boy from China with a terminal brain tumor.

I was adopted from Romania when I was 17 months old in 1999 and my adoptive parents are the best people I could’ve ever imagine to have been placed with as well as my best friends in the entire universe. I cannot imagine the lifelong trauma associated with being, “returned”….. I feel enough like I was given up because of the stress and burden I already was, to imagine what this poor boy will feel like in the years to come absolutely shatters my heart. I’m so happy he’s with a different family
I think there's one video that hasn't been covered and I need you to do it. When they got their dogs people were upset they got him from a breeder instead of a rescue. Myka freaked out in the video saying "how dare you, I adopted a child from China, you have no right.. " someone needs to find this, it's been taken down now.

I feel like Myka doesn’t have real emotions. It almost seems like she tries to mimic real human emotions and acts like she thinks she is supposed to but doesn’t actually experience emotions.
She`s definitely a narcissist ,i`ve experienced their kind of "emotion".It all revolves around THEIR wants and needs.

She does have emotions. When she was scolding huxley for having a tantrum she wasnt being fake and using her baby voice then, you could really tell she was pissed and having a break down. Its not too hard to tell when shes being real because shes such a bad actress. The emotions she mostly feels are jealousy and anger. But not sadness for rehoming him thats for sure

I didn't like to hear Josh say they're "flitting" with the idea of putting him online. I truly pray this family doesn't see how the Stauffers benefited from H then turn around and do the exact same thing for their own selfish reasons. This is a CHILD, a person, not an object to just be tossed around and used to make people money. It's disgusting I hope someone does something soon because it's very clear that this is happening and why their aren't laws against it already blows my mind!

Someone who I know who is on the inside of TH-cam has said that when Myka was looking for a new family for H one of her conditions was the family had to sign something saying that they couldn't put H online as the Stauffers had the "rights". So they were basically wanting to give up the child but not willing to give up the profits. This fact out of all disgusting facts was the worst for me
I feel enraged over the refusal to pay for the $500/month therapy. Never mind the fact that everything they have is because of that kid: if they REALLY couldn’t afford $500 per month in therapy one of them could’ve gotten a part time job in the evenings (a mere 15hrs per week) to cover the costs.
I’ve known people who have taken on second, third, even fourth jobs to make ends meet for their children. It is EVIDENT they were not willing to do everything they could for him.
I gave birth to a son, who sadly died after one month, but he had a syndrome that would have meant he was severely affected. I would have paid anything to keep him alive and with me. I cannot fathom someone begrudging a $500 appointment with a professional, whilst wearing a $AUD7,050 Cartier bracelet. That little piece of metal on the wrist of Myka would have paid for 14 appointments! Is vanity really worth the wellbeing of a child? I wonder, had one of their bio kids needed special help if they would offer that child up for adoption too?

When you breakdown what $500/month you really would’ve looked like for them (and how it could’ve be achieved) it puts into perspective how little they really cared for him.
I work two jobs as a nurse to pay for my sons therapies. You do what you have to to make it work and give them what they need

Hey Josh, I didn't realise your channel was so young. I've been watching from Australia, from the beginning. Your videos have kept me sane (ironically given the subject matter) through COVID lockdowns, a split from an abusive partner, mental health issues with my family, spinal surgery (a year ago), a knee replacement (2 weeks ago), my daughter going to University and moving out of home. One of the reasons I was inspired to go back to University myself to do my Masters, to delve further into digital marketing, especially in the ethics area.I want to explore the ethical considerations of paying family bloggers to document their lives for public consumption. It's not the main reason, which was to do something more meaningful with my skills as a web designer, but it was a contributing factor. Thank you for all you have done for protecting kids and bringing awareness to the very real exploitation of children on youtube, often unwittingly, by parents. And mostly for making a dark subject have light with your humour, authenticity and unique skill set.
I hope people will never forget what they've done and that their car channel will rot in the depths of TH-cam.

I suffer from chronic illness, and it’s very hard to not feel like I’m a burden on my family, and I very easily forget that I am still important and valuable. I was abused as a child and came with a ton of issues I still deal with today and my parents did/do EVERYTHING they can to help me so it bugs me when Myka and James say they did Everything. @@marieamericus8074 it's always bothered me that he has special needs but they bring him into a world of confusion where these people call you a name you've never heard before. Like getting a dog who already knows his name and changing it to suit yourself even though it confuses the dog. Everything about what they did was liken to them adopting a pet, they treated him as though he was a prop. They could've at least tried to ease him into American culture by keeping his name and instead of changing him try to include yourself into his world, what he knows. Gross and I feel as though this constitutes a crime punishable by prison because they exclusively exploited him and also the money they extracted from gullible and naive viewers who genuinely cared for the child and their cause. Fraud. It was all for profits and gain.

Congrats on a year josh! I've been with you pretty much since the apology video came out. On a personal level, you've definitely made an impact on our family's life in that you help keep my resolve strong to not post as much as I'd sometimes like of my son. If he's throwing a tantrum or crying, there's no pictures or video, because that's the time to be a parent and get the camera out of his face. It's been such a rough year but your snark and silliness brought some light to it all. Thank you 🥰

I remember watching this video when it first happened I thought the kid had passed away because they wouldn't say what happened, and they just keep crying with no info for over half the video.

I started watching the dad challenge podcast since that 1st video about this mom of a year 2020😆 seemed so funny to me, but also like you mentioned the passion you have its true. And even some people say its negative, personally, I don't see any negativity at all. And it may seem like most of viewer's have families with kids, I'm watching from abit different perspective.. and that is, I wish everyone had a father like you! And I wish myself also I had a dad that would care about me at least 10% of how much you care about children.. God bless you, and your family! Keep it up!💯💯💯

The first time I heard this story and saw the video from them, your comments and some other opinions my gut always told me they gave him away, because he had not such a bad desease that he will die from "soon". I always had the feeling like they will get a kid with a bad condition, will take care of it 2 or 3 years, the kid will die and they are glorified as the awesome parents that took care of the poor kid that died so quick.
It is so selfish to take the good things, like the money that came with the adoption, and after that get rid of the kid, because he is not "working" like the other kids.
This fake, forced crying (you can not even see the tears 🙄) makes me so angry. There is almost no emotion in their faces. I hope so much, that H is now in a home where he is loved and has parents that take care of him and his needs.
Hi Josh- I started watching your videos since the Myka incident. I was mainly watching because I liked your commentary and sense of humor. I never watched family vloggers before, but you have really opened my eyes into their world of exploitation of young kids. As someone who hopes to have kids some day, I could have easily been sucked into family vloggers thinking that they were just fun loving families. I think its good that you are spreading the word because these family vloggers need to stop their business on TH-cam.
Everyone knows you as “My TH-cam dad” ... you laughing at your own jokes makes me laugh more 😂😂
