hi cozy friends!! the first 500 people to use my link skl.sh/morganunraveled01251 will get a 1 month free trial of Skillshare! I can’t wait to hear if we have any knitting plans in common this year. 🥰
My 2025 plans have my 4 dream makes on it, to leave room for other patterns i find and love throughout the year. I'm going to Bendigo this year so I'm knitting from stash until then so I can save my yarn money and go absolutely feral buying all the bendigo goodies.
Holding mohair or another lace weight yarn with the Cascade worsted weight yarn may give you the Aran weight you need. Going up a size in the pattern will work too, but be aware of your row gauge. The brown color is lovely❤
thank you!! I had thought about holding with a mohair but didn’t want it to alter the stitch definition! I decided to frog back and size up but I will definitely be mindful of row gauge too, thank you!! 🤎 I think most of the row instructions are by measurement length rather than # of numbers so hopefully it’ll work out!
Hey :) don't feel intimidated by the porcelain sweater. I knitted it as my first colorwork project (after some practice swatching of course hehe) and I absolutely love it! I get compliments all the time and its so warm cozy and beautiful at the same time. I started using a metal yarn guide which has really improved my tension in colorwork and doesn't make me tense up as much, maybe that would also be helpful to you if you're struggling with tension in colorwork :)
yay new morgan video! totally get you with loving having lots of variety going on at the same time on the needles! I have a stockinette sweater, scarf, and socks on the needles currently and am gauge swatching for a textured sweater - and its fun to be able to pick up whatever technique i feel like doing at the time. how are you liking gloss DK? I always eyed it, but never got to try it out!
aw makes me so happy you look forward to my uploads! I am glad I’m not alone in needing variety in my WIPs! the Gloss DK - I’m loving it so far, a soft satin feel with lovely drape so far, it’s a pleasure to knit with. 🥰
well the best creative minds are chaos 😂 I’m trying to get more organized this year, I definitely tend to be quite chaotic with my queue plans & cast ons!!
