I'm very new to sewing and have just learnt scrunchies but have a stack of fat quarters I'm not sure what to do with! I cannot wait to try this! Thank you so much xx
Riszty I love reading comments from people who actually make the projects I am showing and I really appreciate that you took the time out of your day just to let me know that I brought you some value with this video! Have a lovely creative day ;)
Thank you and I really appreciate your comment Cecilia! Have a lovely day :) Also a bonus tip: Put a jingle bell inside one of the little cushions to make the ball even more interesting to a little bundle of joy. :)
Thank you for letting me know that Heather! The comments of the people who actually make the things I am showing are my favourite! Have a lovely cretive day :)
Hey :) The answer is it doesn᾿t. However I did look up what did you mean with that and I found out that there really is a way to sew it together that it is later possible to take it apart. Thank you for your insight :)
Julie I appreciate your lovely comment :) I asked the owner of the couch and she first thanks you for your compliment and she bought it from "Natuzzi" :)
Hi Trudy :) Yes, that is a great idea! I actually made a some balls with one 2cm big jingle bell inside, but unfortunately the filling did muffle the sound of it a little bit. Although you can still hear it. :) But maybe it would work better if you put more of the little ones like you said. Let me know how it goes ;)
I appreciate the comments from people who actually make the projects that I show in my videos the most, so thank you Jeane! I always prewash the fabrics for projects that are intended for kids and for this particular one I used cushion filling that is appropriate for washing on 100°C. I don't put it in the dryer though, I just air dry it. :)
Mitch, thank you for your question. Yes, in the first step I am sewing lining (white fabric - 00:17) and outer fabric (00:19) together with a zig-zag stitch on one side (12 on left side and 12 on the right side). At the beginning of step 2 I am showing where the zig-zag stitch is (1:02). If you have any further questions let me know :)
Hi Indre :) The ball I am showing in the video has diameter of 12 cm (after it is finished). For the pattern i drew a circle of 14 cm diameter. (a = half of circle diameter, in my case = 7 cm). Lots of creative energy :)
Thank you for your question Jill! :) Fabric for the lining is 100% cotton flannel. (You actually don᾿t need to have a lining I just like to have it because it prevents cushion filling to look uneven.)
@@sew_wear The first time I made, I did without lining and little microfiber pieces of the stuffing would get pushed out through the fabric -- since I'm sure my baby will be putting this toy in her mouth, I lined the second time around and it prevented the little polyfill strands from coming out. Thanks for a great tutorial!
@@laurenkreid Lining does indeed also help to prevent the cushion filling to get out; also if you secure your stitches with a zig-zag stitch also helps. I hope your baby girl likes her new toy you made for her :)

Thank you for sharing this idea.
I cant wait to try it. Can you place little bells inside each section?
Hi Trudy :)

What seam allowance are you using? Looks pretty small -- 3/8 maybe?
Hey :)
0.5 cm, which is approximately 1/5 of an inch on one side.
What size circles did you use (ended up as quarter of circle)
Thank you for your question Sharon. I drew a circle of 14 cm diameter and then I cut it into quarters to get the pattern :)
Fantastic
Thank you Seethalakshmi! :)
Thank you for this tutorial. Just finished making one for my baby. Also, i want to ask how do you clean/wash projects like this?

i just dont understand the first step. with the 2nd step you see nothing happend to the 24 pieces before. are you sewing something together?

I asked for an English interpretation of why are the measurements in CM? We in the USA use inches, not CM. Please convert CM into inches, THANKS
