Paul was made a minister of the mystery of the Gospel of Christ. But as a prisoner for Christ Jesus, he suffered. Jeremy and Justin look at how Paul wants us to know that that suffering was worth it for the power of the gospel.

How is it that it is for the Church [10 "to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places" ] to instruct angels (powers / principalities) on God's plan through Christ ? Are/Were these angels unawares of "the plan" ? Which would imply we are preaching Christ to physical as well as spiritual beings. What am I missing or misunderstanding here ? I thought "angels" (God's first creation) would have known it all along, otherwise there would have been no rejection thereof (i.e.: Satan and his crew). Doesn't sound logical to me.

The powers and principalities as mentioned in Eph 3:10 are the same Greek words used in Eph 6, which also refers to them as spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. These evil forces oppose the plans of God. They did not know the significance of Christs death and shedding of his blood otherwise they never would have been involved in His crucifiction. But they were involved influencing the mob. Paul says so.
So somehow God is using His Ekklesia (Church) to demonstrate the manifold wisdom of God to these evil forces. When we live not for ourselves but as vessels of Christs love, we demonstrate Gods wisdom to them. I believe its Gods way of teaching them a lesson that we as His people, even though we have never seen Him, we still love and obey Him, which is the opposite of what they did. I believe this service we do that demonstrates Gods wisdom is also teaching us a much higher way of living and behaving that is necessary for a much higher calling that will be utilized when we rule and reign with Christ in eternity.

@@michaelguidera1876 The lesson has already been taught. The Ecclesia does not have to do anything except strive daily to be members in the Kingdom of Heaven (Philippians 2:12), by the blood of The Lamb (John 17:16-26) and not in the kingdom of Lucifer (Luke 4:6). As Paul indicates: "And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:15 NIV. It is up to us now to either belong to the Kingdom of Heaven or by deception, join the defeated elohim on their journey to their final destination: Hades.

@@666trambla will the Apostle Paul have a higher position in the Kingdom of God when it is handed over to the Father then lets say the thief at the cross?. The sacrifices we make to love others and endure sufferings and hardships are seen by God and these forces of evil. Yes we can get our ticket to Heaven but God also desires us to reach out to a fallen world and demonstrate Christ in us by action. He pours His love into us, we invest that love into expanding the Kingdom.
