I think it is cute that you consider the feeling of the poor soul that decorated the apartment in the first place, so kind and refreshing in our crazy world
Thank you for doing non-speed build renos. I love watching you sift through color swatches and figure out where things go. I always watch your videos before bed or when I’m feeling particularly stressed. You are the best! ❤️❤️
I feel the indecision on the budget. Especially because when you typically think roomates, you think students or just outta uni, so you wanna aim cheaper. But in reality, you can have older "young professionals" who have to share because rents are insane. One of my best mates shares a flat in Edinburgh with two other women. They're all in their 30s and 40s, and despite having decent paying jobs in the city, they can't afford to rent alone (and have no hope in hell of buying).
Deli you are the queen of builds I swear! I've renovated this apartment so many times, and I always struggle with the floor plan. You just make spaces make sense, and always find beautiful accents like rugs that I always skip over. Now, 19 Culpepper next please 🥰you know I'm going to keep asking for it 🤣
I live by the saying “two days a guest, 3 days a pest”! So I’m with you Deli on the 2 day rule! There are maybe 2 people in my life that I would be fine with staying longer 😅 I have been loving these apartment renos! Can’t wait to see what you do with the penthouses!
This appartment is one of my favorites, and i play in it sooo often! Many different ways you can do the layout, and I love the balcony! I love to see what you do with it! 😊💜
Maybe it's just because I live in a very expensive city where pretty much everyone in an apartment has roommates but it is still absolutely baffling to me that they didn't add a roommate feature into city living
Love the Reno! To be fair I think apartments in the us are renovated poorly sometimes it’s called the “landlord special.” I appreciate your hustle, it seems like you've lived in so many cool apartments before getting that house you now are in. We still remember that brick wall with all the post it's on when you were trying to grow on twitch. I remember during uni I would always start my day with watching you in the morning getting ready lol. Good times 😅
For the bugged windows and doors: I’ve seen people fixing it by grabbing the swatch tool, getting really close to it with the carema and clicking on it. hope this works for you, amazing build as always deli :)
23:20 I feel this soo much 😂😂. My aunt just came to our house to stay for two days and I had to share my bedroom with her. After she left I was so happy to be alone in my room it was like I was sent to heaven 😂😂😂😂. I love my aunt but I need my alone times. And I'm so happy you share your experience about sharing a room with a partner. I'm relieved that I'm not the only one thinking about these things ❤😊
I thought the exact same thing when I moved in with my partner! I loved living alone and having my independence - I found in shared homes and flatting situations I always felt like I was in survival mode but living alone I could be myself and enjoy my independence. Now I find with my partner I am THRIVING and I feel like we have a mutual understanding of needing alone time 🤣 Beautiful build as always Deli! That apartment swap over for the flooring bothered me but its become this weird little quirk I’ve come to know. I love that you have been taking Australian architecture and bringing it into the Sims! I would LOVE to see you make a wee kit with them with an assortment of your favourite Australian trends and styles and furniture!! Hope you are well Deli! ❤️
I love that you are renovating all the apartments. After all are done, maybe you could start a new LP in one of them with some nice family/friends. I'd love to see an LP using the older expansion packs.
I had rebuilt this lot for a single dad and his daughter. I left the stairs where they were and in the cubby where you put the stairs I added a washroom and put a small desk there. Upstairs I had a similar floor plan except each bedroom got an en suite. Seeing some of your decor choices though makes me want to go back and make some changes. Great job!!
Another cool idea would be a vampire apartment with like tiny fake rooms built around the windows so the entire living space is actually window-less for them! Then you could throw in a hobby to spice it up. Like a world famous vampire actress. Or a gamer vampire who secretly hacks all her money.
it warms my heart when you talk about how you need lots of space & you were worried about living with someone, but... with James it's different. it's so sweet!! 🥺
I’m with Deli on ppl staying over. 2 days is max before my anxiety rockets. I think the only exception is my brother. We do our own things in the same room. There is no need to perform.
Love the build. Getting Deli on too much coffe vibes while building. I'm also with the two day stay and for the right person sharing space feels natural.
Lovely build 😍😍. So glad you discovered the fix for the floors as I renovated 701 today and got very frustrated as I couldn't do the floors and ceilings properly and I must go back to see if deleting the stairs fixes it for me too.
23:22 I have a one night max at my apartment for guests, haha. I have a 500sqft 1bd/1ba apartment, so I take the couch and give my guests the bed. People are only allowed to spend the night if we have plans the next day where it's more convenient to be together the night prior, or if they're not in a fit state to drive home. There's two hotels within a five minute drive from me, so I don't feel too callous saying no! (And, honestly, I think I'm going to keep a one night max even after I get a bigger place lol!)
Awesome build, as per usual Deli ❤ I struggle having people in my house for more than a week..after that I get grumpy and overwhelmed. I also lived with my in-laws for 8 months, and they complained that I spent too much time in my room..I did spend 99% of my life alone while my mum worked so living in a house full of 5 other people definitely sucked lol
Same with the UK. New built houses especially in the North are built really cheaply and are so badly insulated as well. But at least it's not just Australia 😅
I think they purposely make the builds in the packs awkward and slightly cringeworthy, because that is part of the fun of the Sims world, is going in and renovating the builds. It would be so boring if the builds they gave us were perfect. I LOVE how crazy some of the builds are and how satisfying it is to fix them up
I love watching your apartment renovations! It's inspired me to renovate them in my game! You always have such a unique way of putting things together in a way I don't think of. :)
Stunning renovation!! I love that you try to match the outside to the rest of the building so the reno doesn't look out of place!! Having a grill on the balcony seems so crazy to me bc it's quite illegal to do that in Poland as far as I know 😆
Idk if you have any lofts left, but an urban farm on a loft would be cool. Like half the space for living and half for growing food and maybe some chickens and grubs? It could be super green and use the solar panels and water collectors and stuff. And you could like combine nicer items with some more upcycled or crafted items. Like they don’t wanna consume a ton, but they also don’t wanna have to keep replacing things.
23:17 Well, if someone comes he would be in the living room, which isn't OK. But it is usually my grandpa who comes for night or two. Our other guests are my cousins who are younger than me and I don't mind sleeping with them, my bed is quite big
Soooo, I renovated this apartment a couple of weeks ago. I now feel validated about where I put the lounge room! LOL I placed the dining table, kitchen, and lounge room in the same places.
Cannot do more than a 1 night stay over. My anxiety is so bad. I enjoy the IDEA of having family come stay with us, but when the time comes, I have a very hard time with it. That being said, watching your build videos helps me with my anxiety so much! I get in bed at night with a tea, put one of your build videos on, and totally relax 😊
I love watching your videos! It feels relaxing and it just gives me inspiration to make new builds ❤ I’ve been subscribed here since 2014 enjoyed every moment.
It is a true fear of mine too. As an introvert, who recently moved back with parents.. there is a newly added floor in our home which was supposed to be a rental but no one wants it so i moved in and there's 2 rooms but I'm technically only allowed to utilize the one room, so if i ever have friends over (and i have offered), they will have to sleep in my room, and the max is probably one night. If my family lets me use the 2nd room on this floor, i was really planning to furnish it into like a library/guestroom, and i could have one or 2 friends over for a maximum of 5 days. As far as IF i ever get into a relationship, or get married, i want my own restroom that isn't shared. I have a bad stomach, probably IBS, but i don't know sometimes when my stomach will kill me. 😂 And then i have this thing that i would raise with whoever hubby would be, i NEED separate beds. AT THE VERY LEAST, 2 mattresses moved together. I am very easily awakened and i really REALLY value my sleep so i don't want our relationship to fall apart by me resenting him for waking me because he moves around while he sleeps every 3 hours. You can tell I have really thought this through. I also really really hope they do not snore, otherwise one of the clause is that we definitely need to have separate bedrooms. 😅😂 Of course, all negotiable, all depends on if i even find someone for me. I'm very sensitive to like almost everything.. scents, lighting.. there are certain colors I can't stand. So yea, i have always been kind of worried about what this would mean if i ever meet someone who wants to be with me and who i want to be with. It will be hard to find someone who wants to be with me.. which is why I'm not exactly looking 😅😂
Love the vibe of the build! Just wondering if the roommate with the smaller room has got to go into the other roommate’s bedroom to use the shower? Or maybe you could put a jack’n’jill door instead of the wardrobe!
I’m so glad you pointed out the older styled doors on the modern high rises!!! The disjointed doors and lobby areas are so annoying. It’s a huge pet peeve of mine, especially since I don’t have the tool mod. Rant aside good job as always lol.
I have already done this apartment myself.. and I think I did a fabulous job.. got 2 bedrooms, 2 baths upstairs.. kitchen, with a small table 4 seat table in that room, and another table in the longer area, a 6 seat table with the 6 chairs.. really I did not change a whole lot in the way of the over all layout.. over by the elevator I have the actors career media tables and book shelf area.. out on the balcony we have a grill and table and chairs along with some growing plants.. I love doing growing plants in the sims.. I loved the two photos of the apartments you showed from Melbourne.. that was a pretty nice penthouse.. the big Penthouse in the fashion district probably would be a spot that design could fit.. Ok, I uploaded my build onto the gallery.. for 702 Zenview, upstairs is one room, close up the walls, bottom is in 3 rooms, Kitchen, Living room, and Balcony, Under Livelysword or 702 ZenView.. if you want to play with the actor career.. this has the media tables for it..
Yes. I absolutely have those thoughts about not being able to live with a partner after living by myself for 18 years! Also, gorgeous makeover as always!
If I have Guests over, I'd host them 2 nights max. too, I really feel your "2-nights"-rule :D It costs so much energy to have people around. I really like, that youre talking about things like that, beeing so honest about the ways you feel ! xoxo
OMG, I find it more crazy that you discovered the floor problem by figuring out what the original builder did to cause the problem, my head is still spinning, LOL Nice!!!!
Hi Deli!!! In love with this series! As far as house guests go it really depends on the person for me! I believe that as a base though 2-3 days is a good amount of time!
I also renovated this apartment recently and had the same flooring issue! I found that just placing the tiles individually instead of as the whole floor worked but it did take longer
I never realized it till now but when you mentioned the ‘toilet’ rule I realized that every toilet in my house is set into the wall hidden by either the bathtub or the door when you enter the bathroom. My house was built in the 70s so it’s nearly 50 years old
i completely agree with the maximum amount of time to have someone stay being around 2 days! i'm a huge introvert but currently i'm studying in hong kong and i have 5 roommates.. it's a lot to get used to but it's worth it for the experience
i ran into that same glitch with the flooring when trying to renovate this apartment a couple weeks ago!!! i gave up lol, looking forward to going back in and finally finishing it :)
Here are you belt out Montell Jordan was very unexpected. 😂 I don’t like staying at folks places and I prefer to have someone over for like a day or so max. So I feel you.
you did a AMAZING job with this apartment I looooove it, I have learned everything I can about building from you and I´m so so thankful that I can watch you´re videos, have a great day
Love this, it looks like a cozy place to live. I do not care for stay over guests, therefore I would agree with you, the shorter time spent, the better !
So I decided I wanted to do a luxury apartment the other day but I used a save that has been going for a bit and decided to check in on the sims in San Myshuno. I found one household that had 1 bedroom and 5 sims. So I managed to turn it into a 2 bedroom with room for all the sims and even included an extra bed for when the toddler becomes a kid. Then I checked on the Goths and omg. They had 6 kids. So now I'm refreshing their home AGAIN to accommodate everyone and I decided to build a small building in the back just for Cassandra. Oh and when I had sims in this apartment, I turned one of the bathrooms into a streamer room. This was right after high school years came out so I used this apartment to experiment with a lot.
I do have a big house. So my max is about 2 weeks. That said if they don't let me have my down time that 2 weeks shortens really really quickly. I am also an introvert and had the same worry that I wouldn't handle living with someone. But lucky for me my husband is also an introvert. We both have our alone time to recharge our social batteries. We also spend a lot of time just sitting near eachother scrolling on our phones or streaming something on the tv. So it works perfectly.
I agree with the 2 night max for guests, as a fellow introvert 😂. The only exception is when my sister comes for like three weeks, because I’m used to living with her.
I have actually never lived alone. I lived with my family, had roommates in college, briefly lived with my future in-laws while my husband was living with my parents because of our work situation, then my husband and I moved in together. I like my quiet time, and my husband respects that, so it’s never been an issue. I actually have trouble sleeping if I’m the only one in the house - like knowing someone else is there down the hall just lets me relax and sleep better. Whenever my husband works a double, my sleep is terrible. I have no idea why. It’s been that way as long as I can remember.
2 night stay, that is pretty good, I have a zero night stay. I will invite people over but they can go home after. Lol. (All my family and friends live max of 1 hour away) I just bought a 3 bedroom house with an additional unfinished room in the basement. I have a room, I have a craft room, a library/gym, and my cats have the whole room in the basement (once it is done it will be basically a cat play ground). No space for a guest room 🤷🏻♀️😏
Small question and explanation for the question. Why do people keep putting rugs or carpet under the table? If anything spills or gets dropped it'll go right on the rug. To me it's just as bad as having carpet in the bathroom like they started doing in some older homes. I understand having runners and a bath mat in front of the shower/bath, those can be easily washed.
I’m that introvert too! Maximum stay a weekend. I would hate if I have to work an than Someone is there as well. 😂 Hope if I meet the ONE it will change as well! 😅
My daughter could stay here forever; anyone else will last 10 days tops because within 2 full weeks my guests would be getting hangry. LoL. But sadly true. I don't enjoy cooking. Gorgeous build ♥
I truly love your builds/renos, I do think that if you had considered placing the lower powder room on the opposite wall beside the kitchen and that window might have worked well, leaving both windows for the lounge area, that powder room did not need a window feature. The floor/ceiling glitch happened when you did something at the beginning when you covered the floor from rearranging the stairs....love love your work; thank you so much. I live in Canada, and I think its odd when homes don't have basements in other countries; do you guys have basements?
just a tip for these types of apartments Is to not bulldoze them as often when you bulldoze them is where the glitches happen. Like broken windows and flooring
I think it is cute that you consider the feeling of the poor soul that decorated the apartment in the first place, so kind and refreshing in our crazy world
Please stop worrying about budget deli! Seeing you create freely and do crazy clutters is so good ❤
Thank you for doing non-speed build renos. I love watching you sift through color swatches and figure out where things go. I always watch your videos before bed or when I’m feeling particularly stressed. You are the best! ❤️❤️
You are so welcome!
I feel the indecision on the budget. Especially because when you typically think roomates, you think students or just outta uni, so you wanna aim cheaper. They're all in their 30s and 40s, and despite having decent paying jobs in the city, they can't afford to rent alone (and have no hope in hell of buying).
as a french speaker the way you said bouclé made me giggle, so cute! (it's more like boo-clay)

I totally agree 😅 I hope I find someone who I feel I could live with them someday or I'll be a cat lady lol
I LOVE the apartment renos! Please keep them coming. 😊💜
Love these apartment re-dos. Hope you don't run out of apartments too soon.
4:27 "these lights are different heights too... which is creative!" KILLED ME omg! so funny, but yes loving these renos!
*Bouclé is said as Boo-Clay. And it's about time the developers gave us a full colour wheel so we can custom colour every single in game item!*
This appartment is one of my favorites, and i play in it sooo often! Many different ways you can do the layout, and I love the balcony! I love to see what you do with it! 😊💜
Oh my god, i hate these apartments! They always confuse me while playing
lol I read your comment before watching the video and knew instantly which two apartments you meant 😂
for the other zenview apartment you should make it for male roommates/friends, most people make "girly" apartments, it'd be interesting
Maybe it's just because I live in a very expensive city where pretty much everyone in an apartment has roommates but it is still absolutely baffling to me that they didn't add a roommate feature into city living
I was in the middle of shouting 🗣PIVOT right when you mentioned the Friends scene Loving all the apartment renos!
😂😂😂
another beautiful reno!! i really like the light wood color scheme throughout
Love the Reno! To be fair I think apartments in the us are renovated poorly sometimes it’s called the “landlord special.” I appreciate your hustle, it seems like you've lived in so many cool apartments before getting that house you now are in. Aw love that! That wall was awesome, I wish I still had exposed brick!

I'm relieved that I'm not the only one thinking about these things ❤😊
I've been married for about 11 years and still struggle to share my space 😂
@@wildernessisland2573 oh my 😂😂

I don’t usually play in San Myshuno, but Deli is showing me the beauty of building and playing in that world ❤
One of my favorite worlds! And even better with some beautifully renovated apartments 😊

I'd love for you to do a very glam, high end apartment with the new kit and like vintage glamour.
I bulldozed this lot months ago and have been too intimidated to rebuild but you did so great and now I feel inspired!
Same with the UK. New built houses especially in the North are built really cheaply and are so badly insulated as well. But at least it's not just Australia 😅

you have taught me so much about making a nice house/apartment in this game. thank you SO much.
I would of loved to live somewhere like this when I first moved out of my parents house. Beautiful xx
Yes. I absolutely have those thoughts about not being able to live with a partner after living by myself for 18 years!
Also, gorgeous makeover as always!
The apartment being in a quake zone : you wouldn’t have any paintings or pictures above your bed 😊
You did such a great job! This was so fun to watch, keep it up 😊

The townhouse I live in the Bay Area California was built in the 80s and the insulation is awful. Also I loooooove your remodels. They inspire me ❤
I'm the same way deli, I love having ppl over to my home, but I need my space and time to myself too.
I dont think i ever used this appartment before but with this new layout and look i may be using it from now on!
OMG, I find it more crazy that you discovered the floor problem by figuring out what the original builder did to cause the problem, my head is still spinning, LOL Nice!!!!

i completely agree with the maximum amount of time to have someone stay being around 2 days! i'm a huge introvert but currently i'm studying in hong kong and i have 5 roommates.. it's a lot to get used to but it's worth it for the experience
Love what you did with the apartment! I've actually never seen this apartment before. Love the colors and the layout!
I just got city living so I love these apartment renovations! I just hate the visual glitches I get with the apartments sometimes.
you need to put these apartment renovations on the gallery please! awesome work by the way 😀😍🥰
3 day max for guests! My moms best friend said “people, like fish, spoil after 3 days”
i ran into that same glitch with the flooring when trying to renovate this apartment a couple weeks ago!!! i gave up lol, looking forward to going back in and finally finishing it :)
I looove the way this turned out, idk how you do it
Here are you belt out Montell Jordan was very unexpected. 😂
I don’t like staying at folks places and I prefer to have someone over for like a day or so max. So I feel you.
Deli made a build I requested! YEY!!! This looks soooooo good! Pls keep the renos coming!
you did a AMAZING job with this apartment I looooove it, I have learned everything I can about building from you and I´m so so thankful that I can watch you´re videos, have a great day
I love that you renovated my favorite apartment in the fashion district
Love this, it looks like a cozy place to live. I do not care for stay over guests, therefore I would agree with you, the shorter time spent, the better !
Love your builds Deli!! They always look so beautiful and amazing 👏
Ross: "Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!"
Chandler: "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"
Hahahaha!! Sorry... just had to. If you know, you know... 🤣🤣🤣
I agree with the 2 night max for guests, as a fellow introvert 😂. The only exception is when my sister comes for like three weeks, because I’m used to living with her.
I've been waiting for this apartment reno YAYYY 💃🏻
If you use the color swatch tool on the windows/doors when they disappear or blend with the wall, it fixes it.
i love watching these videos, it’s relaxing. also can let someone stay a week with me before i am pushing them out the door😂😂
ty for showing how to fix the zenview apartment! i spent hours trying to fix that glitch over a year ago and just gave up on that apartment 😭
Deli and James ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ absolutely love
Lol. (All my family and friends live max of 1 hour away)
I just bought a 3 bedroom house with an additional unfinished room in the basement. I have a room, I have a craft room, a library/gym, and my cats have the whole room in the basement (once it is done it will be basically a cat play ground). No space for a guest room 🤷🏻♀️😏
On your last vid I asked you to reno the unit next to this one. Would love that one done with custom content! But excited for this one!!
When the windows glitch out, if you click on them with the design tool, they’ll come back 😊 I have to do it all the time lol
I’m that introvert too! Maximum stay a weekend. I would hate if I have to work an than Someone is there as well. 😂
Hope if I meet the ONE it will change as well!
I’ve never been this early before lol. Can’t wait to see how you did!!
just a tip for these types of apartments Is to not bulldoze them as often when you bulldoze them is where the glitches happen. Like broken windows and flooring
I'm convinced the sim gurus in charge of building/furnishing do an intentionally mediocre job to encourage people to renovate!
As a home grown Aussie I’m asking the same questions. Why is my house so hot/cold 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
