As a New York native I can confirm you are right but it is harder to find a brownstone in its original state with all floors belonging to the one apartment unless your insanely rich or have had the brownstone in your family for GENERATIONS
I was a nanny for a family in Greenwich Village who lived in a brownstone (they were insanely rich). The brownstone was gorgeous! But I didn't always enjoy all the stairs.
Toilet paper over is actually the correct way to put on a toilet paper roll (according to the original patent). It's easier to grab cuz it doesn't disappear behind the roll (it's facing you) and also something about the way it touches the wall.
I was just about to comment this! But now that I have a crazy cat, I flip flop between over and under depending on if she’s hyperfixated on toilet paper or not lol.
Reason for having toilet paper over is that under you will more than likely touch the wall. Over you will not touch the wall so it's cleaner. LOL though it was pretty funny you wonder what is wrong with people doing it that way. The build is very cute too, great decor. ♥

Some have been converted to be two or three apartments, there are some in Brooklyn and Manhattan, but there are very few that remain intact as like a one family home with the original structuring. It was Carrie as a teenager and her introduction to fashion and New York, It was canceled after 2 seasons I think, but it was so cute and Anna Sophia Robb was Carrie. I think this apartment is a beautiful updated look for the character though! Amazing as always, and so happy to see you back x
I loveeee the mixy matchy feel to this, feels very legit for a ny apartment. also i feel like the no door to the bedroom and the one door to the bathroom makes sense too, sometimes ny apartments have weird layouts like this so it's actually perfect!!! love it deli
You should have turned the dining table 90°. Then it would have ben more space to walk next to it to the bedroom. It would be more flow in the apartment that way.
Loving seeing the two different little series or remaking San Myshuno and Newcrest. The bedroom on this apartment was gorgeous, not normally my style but I really like it. Hopefully your infrared sauna was enjoyable , I’ve heard great things about them!

When i play Sims 4, i tend to always use this apartment as a starter. So having more ideas for how to decorate the space is always a nice thing! And even if the result in this video isnt /my/ personal taste, it's really pretty and i could definitely see myself using it in a playthrough. Another winning renovation Deli!

What a wonderful apartament!! I don't have many of the kits you used but I'm excited to download this build anyway and have the game replace the objects for me. One of the love interests in my Sims save lives on this lot and I'll be more than happy to upgrade her life from the og dark apartament to something more lovely!!

As a native NYer, brownstones are our dream homes out here. They are massive and beautiful. It can literally be a passtime to visit historic and iconic brownstones in the city and read up on their history.

Your comments about the toilet roll made me laugh. Growing up our toilet rolls always went under also, because that’s the way my mum always did it. I didn’t realise that over was a thing until I started working in housekeeping in a hotel and I had to do it over, and then fold the ends. 😂

idk y but I always naturally put my tp under without realizing it, then my sis complained about it so I put it over now. our toilet is "glitchy" so we have to use thin, scratchy toilet paper so it doesn't get clogged. Typing as I watch so this might be a lot and a bit all over the place haha XD Those big white bifold doors you choose first with the many parts pulled back always look so big and clunky to me I never use them. Id also have kept the bathroom the size it was when you first put it in so the flat entrance door was in the middles of the wall it was on, but thats just me personally. The entrance just seems to small and claustrophobic being on two tiles wide. I do love the walk in wardrobe though, thats a dream of mine!

I’m the opposite when it comes to the to tissue. I like mine over like most hotels in America. 😂. When I see under in my home I know it’s someone that doesn’t live with me and needed a new roll and it drives me insane lol.
