Many ask the question should i be using a Low Sensitivity to snipe or should i use a High Sensitivity when using a Charger.

as an e-liter scope main, i personally use +5/+5. gotten so many nasty snipes with it too. it just works for me
The best sensitivity is the one you hit shots with. Mine is +5/+5. The moment I switched to +5/+5 I went from hitting 20% of shots to 30% of shota

I use mid to high sense for snipers only. The only time ive used low sense is for blaster (motion +3 stick +2)
I personally use +2;+5 as a Charger main. Feels much better to me than anything else

One thing that changed my approach to this topic was starting to use other weapons than chargers.
I used to play with a -4/-2.5 gyro and a +3.5 sticks but after I started using more splatlings and brellas (and some rare times Range Blaster) in Spla2, I started changing my approach depending on the weapon I'm using, the mode I'm playing and the playstyle I want to adopt: except for an almost universal +4.5 on sticks because I became more accustomed to faster camera movements, for example with the E-liter I even reduced the gyro sensitivity to -4.5 when I feel I need to be more precise and steady, with vCharger and its variants now I range between -3 and -1 (mostly due to the kit the weapon has: with Kensa in Spla2 I almost matched my Squiffer setup) and with Squiffer I go to +2.
But aside from that, another very important thing is getting accustomed to chargers running hot and cold.
Be open to change your mentality: there are times in which you need to control very wide areas and react to enemy movement, in which you need to be fast and precise, while other times in which you need to focus on what's happening around you so to put you more into game vision and forecasting, which require macro- and micromovements management. Get used to switch "mode" to become even more effective.
I played for the entirety of this game on -2 because I thought it was what would be good. It never felt bad, but I switched to plus two a week ago and it suddenly feels a lot better. I'm hitting flick shots and mid air shots like I never used to
It depends on how you intend to play as charger. For me as a liter main i have +4 for motion and +3.5 for sticks. Reason for high is because i want to kill enemies in the slightest of moment. Whether to save teammates in split seconds or saving myself from a flank behind me or even my favourite moment, downing inkjets or any airborne targets. The high sens is no problem as i am able to stabilise my aim and also since i like to prediction, i would want to be able to quickly aim at a certain spot i calculated the enemy would just swim right into my crosshair.
I started on very Low Sensetivity for a few years until I switched to max high sensitivity settings. I can agree both work well. I just prefer high sensitivity settings now.
I use +5, +5 no joke. I play ultra aggressive and out of position and it works. The snipers only challenge was my lifelong dream

Definitely use higher sensitivity for myself. Personally because I use other weapons that move better with higher sensitivity. I just adjusted my playstyle with the sniper (I predominantly use squiffer) and that's how I play. Moving around a lot helps too.

yeah normally i use +.5 motion sens for most weapons but -3 for snipers because any tiny movement is a bigger change at range which can and has made me miss because my hands just doesn't stay still. stick sens mostly +2 but +1 on chargers
i also have a decreased motion sens for whenever i play squeezer because tapping the fire button throws off my aim too much
I physically cannot deal with low sensitivity. I’m at +5/+5 and I wish it was even more sensitive.
I feel very comfortable with +5 on both motion and sticks tbh! I'm a casual player, so it might just be easier to hit people on my skill level. It works quite well for me currently tho hehe
Ever since Splatoon 2, I use a -1 or -1.5/+3 sense when it comes to chargers (and now stringers in splat 3). Max sense for everything else.
for me it I use to use default in splatoon 1 since I mained the e-liter but in splatoon 2 that wasn't enough for me anymore so I bumped it to +0.5/+0.5 on sticks and was perfect for me. when the octo expansion came out and I was fighting inner agent 3 thats when I was like "my sensitivity is too slow I need to speed this up!" so went to +1/+1 sticks after beating agent 3 like that I thought it was a smooth and natural than my old sense I was using for 2yrs. so I stuck with that to this day. I dont use e-liter as much anymore but use the vanilla splatchargers and hasn't once came to my mind in changing it even in splatoon 3 now. I tried other settings and I feel like anything under is too slow and anything over +3 is too fast. I also keep the sensitivity for other weapons I play since its feels just right.

I use +3 sticks +5 motion it just makes flicks feel quick and clean and the stick just can’t be too fast but lower than that makes my aim feel shakey with motion sometimes
When I had all the time in the world to play splatoon 1 daily and get double digit splats I’d always have it at +5/+5 and my team tho that was kinda crazy.
for me i be using +5 motion +5 sticks and it feels nice, honestly wish i could go a bit higher (maybe)

I didn’t felt very good with the sensibility that i had, but, it’s actually the problem of my nintendo, because if i don’t move it, it starts to move to the right side and it’s very uncomfortable, i tried to search for the sensibility and i didn’t found it, so i’ll try to change it with the sensibility of the game, wish me luck

I use 3.5 gyro and 3 sticks, i hit pretty consistently, but i also play squiffer, so that probably makes it different
I personally use +5 +5 as a charger main and i get 8+ kills every game. I do Sometimes Miss very ez shots but i also Hit some insane flicks
My biggest challenge is hitting people swimming in ink, especially if they have ninja squid. Any tips? Or is it sometimes just luck?

I personally use high sense because I use squiffer and I have to be making rapid flicks

EDIT: i do this because i also play dualies(on high sens), so it is more nice not having to change my sens all the time

At the "end" of Splatoon 2 I had +5/+5. At the start of Splatoon 3 I tried +5/+5 too, but felt that it was much more sensitive.
I tried +3/+5 and it was good, but with the time it felt too slow and have to move my hands too much, to aim like I want. I change the motion to +3.5 and sometime later to +4, where I am now.
I play other weapons too and don't want to change all the time the motion so I stick to a motion where I can play all my weapons I want to play. I don't play the E-Lite, because the charge time is for me too long before I can shot, also it could be the high sensitive, but aiming with the E-Lite feels weird.
The E-Lite usage could be changed after next Splatfest. Next Splatfest I wanted to play only weapons with Kraken Royal, to get some experiences with that special and after that Chargers only. (Why only at Splatfest and not in regular Turf War? Because Splatfest is too long the same and want to use the time for more useful stuff).
*Sigh,* I have to watch this video, even though I know the answer is 'whatever lets you hit your shots'

I use 4-5 sensitivity. Works pretty well for me

I've experimented a good bit and think I've found my sensitivities. Yes, plural, because I'm one of those weirdos that finds different sensitivities comfortable for different weapons. My stick is always +5. For most shooters, sloshers, etc, my motion sense is +1.0. But for unscoped chargers, TriStringers, and Wipers, motion sense of 0.0 works best for me. For scoped chargers, I have to go further down to -0.5 to be able to aim them more consistently accurately. And then, oddly enough, I find myself doing better with Dualies with a motion sense of +1.5 or +2.0.

Turns out the different sensitivities don't *feel* different when applied like that; rather they make using and aiming the different weapons feel mostly the same and more natural for me.

So, not only don't be afraid to experiment with your sensitivity as Dude suggests, but also don't be afraid to try different sensitivities for different weapons types. Granted most people swear by the one-sense-fits-all idea and that may very well work for the majority, but that just doesn't work for me. 🤷🏻♂
