Sick deal man, I built a Walksnail 5inch 4S quad for $250 on the Aliexpress January sale. It was $40 off orders 200 and above or something along those lines.
Thanks for the info, this is good to know But looking at your cable management on the motor wires hurts me 🤣...please cut them shorter and curl them around the standoffs on your ESC stack
Keep in mind that if you clip them short, youre still in the clear for building the 7". Just use racewire on your arms, those protectors require the motor wires to be pretty short@@hoardersam10
Subscribed brother .I just found someone with the same disorder as myself .I love to build drones and anything what flyes .Unfortunately im scared of the programing so i havent even flown my drones yet ,what a shame .I got 14 drones built so far and only one is analogue the rest is HD Zero and Walksnalis also i just purchased a pair of HD Zero googles and a walksnail VRX .sOON AS I FINISH MY 7 INCH DRONE ILL START TO SET UP MY KIT .Blessings .ps ALL MY STAFF IS FROM ALIEXPRESS LOL.
I'm also a aliexpress hoarder but of keyboard and PC parts, love the ali tip vids. But now you're gettin me interested in drones because I love a good DIY project lol. You should do a build vid for the drone in this vid, parts list and ho-to? Maybe you already do I shoulda probably checked your channels first lol. Good vid man.
What firmware does it run? Both my 1st and second builds used 3rd party boards like this and my problem was that it was unreliable and often times betaflight fully refused to even recognise the board. Im planning another build now, a 3.5" portable freestyle, and Im kinda thinking about used one of these cheaper boards but i dont wanna compromise on overall quality, any idea how i should go about choosing parts that would last?
I have used both betaflight and inav on the boards. The main processor is the exact same as the name brands (STM32F405) so it works the same. FCs not being recognized properly is a common issue with all flight controllers, I use the impulseRC driver fixer which always fixes it for me.
The app controls everything you see. Before a ”sale” it shows you higher prices and the sudden drop is to trigger you to buy. The 70 % discounts don’t exist the ”original” price is just made up. Some products seem cheaper but after shipping it’s about the same. You pay the price it says, but EVERYTHING is desgned to make you buy stuff. There are no ”deals”. Just be aware.
@@420247paul good for you 😀👍 Hope you bought extra, you could turn a profit. But I’ll bet it’s an exception rather than the norm? You also can’t be sure you’re seeing the same prices as everyone else, they could easily add a dollar here and there to orders and give you a ”deal” to keep on buying. I’ve also had a few things that never turned up and it’s so easy to forget about the order after a few weeks. I can imagine a lot of people forget and don’t apply for the refund.
smell like a commercial. honestly mate did you paid it or they gift it to you ? :) we can never be sure nowaday with all FPV people doing paid review and not telling it ( dji we see you )
I use Ali for all my builds it's been awesome for people with low low budgets
Almost all my parts in my Quad is from Aliexpress and its works fine thanks for sharing bro happy flying👍

Yeah it's full length wires 😅 I'm considering moving the motors to a 7" so I didn't want to clip them short just yet

Been back using it myself

Great video, would love to see the full list of drone parts that you have used to build the drone in the video. Thank you in advance.

I find they raise prices on coupon code events
nice vid! unrelated question but wandering what vtx/cam you've got on your pavo pico there? I'm looking at doing an analog version of one for fun.
Thats the caddx polar vista, its good for nighttime flying

It’s $18 right now..that can’t be right..
I think thats for only the FC or only the ESC. The combo is $35
If I had AliExpress leagal in India then i would have made better drones than DJI

I paid for it with my own money. The link in the description is an aliexpress affiliate so I get like 2% if someone buys something with my link though
