Great tutorial! Checkout 'selective color' too, you can adjust the green or blue properties of a shot individually. Also great for general color correction. Changed my life.
I have had many ideas and scripts for more episodes with Bibby for sure! It just doesn't make sense for me at this time to make a video about a character that isn't based in a recognizable world/brand like Star Wars. At this stage of my life when I have to worry about rent and those sorts of things, I need the projects I spend a lot of time on to at least have the potential to get a lot of views. My hope is that as I grow my Patreon and Channel I will be able to dedicate time to making more Bibby town and other lesser-known projects!
It doesn’t work properly though - in some cases when you precompose a single layer, effects and other settings stay visible and manipulatable... which I don't want(as I've run into issues with that before). Doing this extra step with the solid essentially makes it work like an entirely new video file. So I got in this habit to correct any time it doesn't just work exactly as it should. that's just what I've experienced and this has made my life easier overall haha
Onbeatman All you have to do while precomposing the layer is choose “move all attributes into the new composition” instead of “Leave all attributes in” 🙂
Still doesn’t work in some cases for me lol - couldn’t tell ya why but relying on that became more of an inconvenience than it was worth... I just do this so it works 100% of the time 🤷🏻♂️
How do you make or Where do you get the background that you put in the croma? And if you build it, why to use croma? I don’t know if I said it well, I’m from Spain and I’m learning English Salutations.
That's alright! I think I got it. The backgrounds you see in this and the previous video were CGI creations I made in Blender. The reason I created them in the computer rather than the real world was I didn't have the bricks I needed to make the large sets required for the scene. If I had the bricks needed I would for sure just build the sets from scratch but it all comes back to how expensive lego is and how much I can afford at a given time. I hope this helps - thanks for watching! :)
Hello Gus, when you create your digital Lego backgrounds in Blender, how do you match the perspective of the Blender virtual camera to the video you will be overlaying onto it?
@OnBeatMan can you use the masking tool to mask out the parts in the background per frame so like if you shoot it from a far distance and have no green screen fully in the background could you use masking I get that out?
Hey, do you know if it would be possible to do a full tutorial on the best stop motion apps and how to edit stop motion on a phone? Thanks keep up the great vids!
I am not exactly sure what chroma keying options are available for phones... I heard possibly imovie has some capability there but I don't know for sure. if I find out any options later on I will include it in a future video!
Just a quick google search for green screen or blue screen. plenty of images there. you can also scale up an image that may not cover the whole screen, take a screenshot, then you have a full-screen green image.
I do freelance video production for work! It takes a lot of time away from my TH-cam channel though... so I'm trying to grow my channel and Patreon right now. I am a long way from being able to support myself through my animation work. but if you want to check out my Patreon page you can get a point of reference for what it would take to pursue youtube full time using Patreon and TH-cam :)
I would suggest taking it slow - if you're working with hit film you may need to look up a specific tutorial on that program... like "How to chroma key in hitfilm" to get started. other than that I would follow what you can from this video and really take note of how each step changes your result. Keying is a rather fidgety process so the only way to figure it out is to just jump in and see what techniques give you what results.
Ok but I don’t really work with green screen because I use a iPhone and the app I am using to animate is stop motion studio pro and in some of my little older video i tried using green screen but the results were interesting like 4/10 interesting so yeah I don’t have the best thoughts of using green screen
Spind Films Would you like a bit of help? 1. Film you Stopmotion with a green screen in the background 2. Download Imovie* for free on your computer 3. Find an image you want for your background 4. Export your Stopmotion on your laptop 5. Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/GpOjikuunJI/w-d-xo.html: it is slightly different but removing the green screen is the most important, just put the image on top 6. Good luck tell me if you please tell any more tips! Also I subbed to you amazing channel.
Bricks of War thanks for trying to help but at number 4 I don’t have a labtop I use my iPhone to do all of the work like editing and filming and other stuff but thanks for trying to help. Thanks for the sub

Do you remember bibby town? Ik it was 7 years ago, but did you ever think of making more videos on that?

@@Onbeatman ok, I understand. Really happy you still remember about it and that you replied. Thanks :D

Finally a green screen

how do you make the light sabers glow ?
How do you make or Where do you get the background that you put in the croma?

Can you make another video on special effects?
@OnBeatMan can you use the masking tool to mask out the parts in the background per frame so like if you shoot it from a far distance and have no green screen fully in the background could you use masking I get that out?

This one would require some research but I would like to at some point for sure!
Onbeatman, Awesome
i’ve been using hitfilm for 2 years
Another amazing video . Do you know how to do what you did in this video in an iPhone

Does a lego green plate 16x16 also work as a green screen or no?
Shooed I rush into the production and release of my big lego stop motion videos or shooed I tack my time
I just got Final cut pro 10
What app do you use for your videos and what frame rate do you use?
Thanks, this helped me with my vids! How did you get those green screen backgrounds though?
