  • The third lego stop motion animation tutorial in a series of videos in which I hope to further explain how I achieved certain effects/shots/setups in my LEGO stop motion movies.
    This video focuses on set design and lighting using the example of a moon landscape as seen in "The LEGO Movie 2: Benny & Batman"

    • @SpeakBroccoli

      I get most of my lights from IKEA. They're very dependable and quite cheap. LED does seem to be a more reliable light. You can still get flicker with them but that's more of a camera issue generally speaking rather than the lights. What camera do you use?

    • @SpeakBroccoli

      Pinnacle Productions I got them from IKEA but can’t remember the exact model

      @@SpeakBroccoli Thanks for the reply! I did some research and I found the model (its called Jansjo). However, does the light source give off yellow or white light?

    • @SpeakBroccoli

      Pinnacle Productions thanks dude. Yes they give off a yellow light which I normally colour correct after.

    Hi doesn't your set then limit your number of angles?

    • @SpeakBroccoli
      @SpeakBroccoli  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no. Generally I can do reverse shots by moving around a few elements in the background but yes it is a little limiting in that you couldn't really do a 360 shot.

    • @SpeakBroccoli
      @SpeakBroccoli  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shadows aren't necessarily a bad thing. You just need to decide what you want seen, what's the main focus of that particular scene.
