- Suggestive of the historical times surrounding the fall of Pevensey Castle in the south of England during the dark ages. Written in 3/4 time, this very imaginative and effective piece is perfect for contest or concert.
Performed by the Washington Winds under the direction of Edward S. Petersen.

I was meant to play it in 7th grade, however the piece didn’t sound well enough, 3 years later I am a sophomore playing this piece on snare and it holds a special place in my heart.
This is one of my all time fav band songs !!!!
Best recording I've heard of this music. As someone who lives in Pevensey...thankyou 👍
I have to play this to and it is such a fun song and I love it so much and I’m a first clarinet so I have a lot of high notes which I love
Me: waits for 45 measures cuz I only play bass drum

Actually yes, I am baritone, it goes pretty fast and pretty nerve wrecking because I am basically the only one who plays it and bass clarinet is not very loud, were you guys also the only baritone in your band?
