A lot of people just lab combos and dont learn frame data or anything else. I see this all the time. If these people focused on neutral, theyd be good.

They see high damage clips on TikTok and then they think if they can hit that in practice they are good players, but if you can’t open someone up in neutral, who cares if you can do 50 percent combos. This. Is. Underrated. Letting go of anger and your ego early, is so essential to get better. I got god rank for the first time last night. When I lose I save the game, and I rewatch a handful of them at the end of the session, and see if I did something unsafe for no reason, did I not fuzzy guard Mileena well, did I not respect plus frame, did I drop combos like a nub? Getting angry at every loss because your ego tells you you’re better than your opponent is the worst way to get better.
similar to the MK11 strap, I've been using Ferra's overhead toss into spear (RB, F4, BF1) from a distance. I've found that majority of the time they will release block after the overhead hits.

Some characters don’t. Azeez on Twitter has a few characters that have them, but he didn’t go through the entire cast. Type in: “MK1 Kara Throws” into the search bar, and the tweet/video will be from X_AZEEZ3 He’s the only one I know of that’s compiled a bunch into one place - It also is character specific. It usually is based on the kick normals, so either your 3 or 4. Scorpion’s happens to be 3. But confusingly enough a few characters break that rule😅

The Kara throws to my understanding come from the fact that you can input a throw with 1+3. For that to not be a frame perfect input, you have a few frames after buttons to input a throw and have throw come out instead, and you get to keep the movement during the button.
the god rank tip was real asf, i spend majority of my scorpion matches blocking after F34 and then the last game ill cancel it into DB2 or BF2 and it throws them off sm not knowing if imma special cancel or let my turn be over
@Diff Ghostface finally just released here in Ohio where I live about not even a half hour ago by the time I could play him after doing the update and everything so, I am so damn excited I took him for a spin in training mode not to learn combos or anything but, just to get a quick feel for the basic moves and strings and things he has and now I am about to go into Kombat League with him and start the grind properly, as tempting as it is to learn combos, I will save those for last after I master these tips because, combos don’t do me any good if I can open up my opponent properly, I may just learn a easy BNB and commit it to muscle memory with Ghostface just so as I learn some of the fundamental concepts with my character and start getting more openings I can land a good chunk of consistent damage every time
11:34 they need to adjust that move if you’re even close to the corner you get punished and reset their combo, I think either make it a directional input so you can choose which way you’re pulled and or give full freedom of buttons while you’re being speared, ig making it spear opponent would be cool too but obviously the lesser likely 😂
KL is rigged imo and is a very flawed system to work against you. The higher you get the more they pair you with either far weaker players rank wise or stronger. So if you win vs the weaker you hardly gain, if you lose you will lose points sometimes a decent amount. And if you beat the stronger player you'll gain a good amount but that doesn't happen too often. It rarely pairs you vs someone with similar rank, skill level. The fact that nrs hides exclusive skins behind it is the dumbest idea ever especially when we can't just buy them. Gotta love how they out exclusive shop skins and even the invasion boss skins on the shop but refuse to offer us the KL skins on the shop because that makes sense...but I digress. Appreciate the video.
actually i agree with the thumbnail, “DON’T LEARN COMBO”. i have met raiden-sareena at grandmaster rank, he keep spamming his projectile skill and thunder fly. it’s super annoying, he can climb up to grandmaster rank by just doing that thing 😂
That advice you gave to apprentice players about Serena was so true. When I first started playing the game almost a year ago, I too was shackled by the Serena combo extender. Having a combo extension with that kameo is nice and all, but in Mk, thats not only not creative at all, but easily countered. I can't tell you how many new players I've steamrolled in the beginning of the season who used that Serena extension constantly. It was a free rank up essentially.
It's as simple as don't Kameo if you haven't connected the hit. Learn your character and the combo extension follows with any Kameo. Mavado especially.

Im god rank most seasons, and I havent ever thought to block with RB instead of RT, Is it worth trying to learn how to use kameo button on the trigger or should I stay on what I know?
For me the block activates as soon as the trigger is pressed slightly, not just all the way so I stick to block on trigger. I'm God rank incase you need credentials, only top 2000 mmr tho
Sareena main here since season 1. Other than her flip kick, ive never used ANY of those setups you just showed. I use her a totally different way no wonder you guys hate sareena 😂

Have any of you been docked exp and wins for no apparent reason? I was literally two shakes of a lambs tail away from being eldergod and randomly was docked close to 200 exp... Has anyone else had this happen? Really frustrating. It's been happening all morning.. It makes me so sad because I'm so close. It's been taking my streaks away too..
Yessir, I used the thumbnail idea cause he’s not really an MK creator and I literally saw that thumbnail and realized that was the best possible one. Like I would be purposely throwing by not “copying” for the MK1 version. I hope people know I would never steal an MK1 videos style!

It is 10000% worth it. It only took me a couple of days to have the new muscle memory down!
