It's roasted maple with no finish. I'm finding that I prefer the natural wood feel and roasting technically doesn't require a finish, although I may use oil down the road.
@@michaeltorena roasted wood will still get filthy and oily from your hands. The roasting process just strengthens the wood, it doesn’t introduce a protective layer or anything like that
