    Firstly I’d like to say props to you, your production looks amazing. Secondly I follow a lot of piano subs and gotta say this is now the best lesson I’ve seen, firstly the level of humbleness to show your mentor on your channel precedes me. He’s an amazing teacher Broke things down, with no complicated jargon. You’re channel will blow up soon!!!

    Love these videos, thank you as always. Theory and writing trips me up all the time..I still can't wrap my brain around why the chord at 3:19 for example ( E - G - C - E ) is called a C / E. Inversion of C major with an added E note on the left?

    • @SkilledMusician
      @SkilledMusician  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are so welcome! Inversions are all about what is on the bottom. If it is a C major chord with an E on the bottom, then it is first inversion. If G is on the bottom, it is second inversion.

      Hey Greg! Yes and no... The musical experiences you've had already will always be part of who you are. But you can definitely reset and start again, creating new experiences. It is important to get with a teacher that walk you through these ideas from beginning to end, with a clear plan.
