I saw The Righteous Brothers when I was a teenager, I'm 62 now and still enjoy the pictures that I have from that concert. Miss you Bobby 💓.

This song has been covered by a number of singers. Muddy Waters released it originally around 1954 but it was called "Just Make Love to Me" and then re released it in 1957 under its current name. Etta James released it in 1960, and both The Righteous Brothers and The Rolling Stones released it in 1964. Others followed, and Pepsi used the Etta James version in a commercial in the 1990s.

Thanks so much for the reaction. Not many young people today can appreciate the talent from so long ago.

He is also talking about making/showing his love to her by keeping her fed, doing the laundry, doing the baking. There are a lot of ways to "make love" to your woman.

The Righteous Brothers were some of the best blue-eyed soul, R&B music from this era. But there were lots of great artists from this time period. Here's another artist that had a huge impact on blues and rock n roll music *"Janis Joplin - Ball & Chain - Monterey Pop"* she had one of the most soulful vocals you'll ever hear. Sadly, we lost her way to young, she is a member of the "27 club" and yes that's a real thing. The 27 club is made up of musicians' singers and celebrities that died or lost their lives at the tender age of 27 yrs. old. Shon get ready to be amazed...this lil' lady oozes soul and she gives sensational live performances. Thankfully we are blessed with these beautiful video's that help to keep this great music and these very talented people alive and your generation has the chance to hear and discover these gorgeous tunes. I look forward to sharing your journey to discovering great ole school music.🎶🎸

They do complete justice to that funky Muddy Waters song! And the man playing that funky funky Blues guitar was none other than Glen Campbell the country star.

Just be glad you weren’t born 60 years ago and he was singing it to your woman. Game Over !😂

The way you are hearing this is called stereo. While listening to the stereo record player (with right and left speakers), it's imitating what your ears pick up if you were sitting directly in front of a live performance -- who is closer to your right ear, who is closer to your left. Hope that is clear.

Hi Shon, what a joy it is to watch you listening to this! In the 60's, stereo recordings were brand new - previously they'd all been mono, and while it was brand new, artists and engineers played around with the effect of putting different instruments/voices across the left-right spectrum. It sounds quite strange now to have different instruments on the left and right to our ears these days, but back in the day it was an opportunity for folks to full experience their new 2 speaker systems. Thanks and keep it going. 😃

I think I was around 10 when I found this record. It was one of my older brothers. I had it turned up dancing. Until my Mom walked in the room😂 She said I was too young to listen to it. I didn't know why. So I would sneak it and play it softly. I just liked the sound. I figured out the rest later😅

Loved your story thank you so much for sharing. I can just see that as an episode of Leave It To Beaver in the later episodes as he grew up. 😂

This is the music of my youth and stereo sound was just developed. It was mono before that and all the sound came out of one speaker. With stereophonic they had different parts of the same performance coming out of each speaker. That is why you just had Bill in your left ear and Bobby came in in your right ear. If you had a stereo system in your home it would sound like they were all over your room. If your were in your car or listening on your transistor radio you had one speaker so it all came out of one. You probably haven’t heard of a transistor radio 📻

Righteous brothers and Andy Williams That's what I say.❤ Andy Williams had a variety show and the boys were on it. It's also the video of Unchained Melody that was taped at the same time 🎶🎵✌🇨🇦

Great one..huh. Talk about soulful blues by these two. They could sing anything. The Righteous Brothers were regulars on The Shindig TV show from 1964-66 so they have a lot of old black n white videos of them. Check out them singing "I Need Your Loving" and "Bring It On Home To Me". Singers, dancers are in the background, live band playing & the audience may be screaming but it's raw unedited videos. For sure you have to watch the solo by Bobby singing "Summertime" on Shindig. For calmer but moving solos by Bobby listen to the records (no videos) "Ebb Tide" and "Let It Be". Catch Bill Medley on Playboy After Dark singing his "Brown Eyed Woman" with the Blossoms backing him up. He''ll be glancing back towards the special singer he was dating at the time.

Yes, I love the Shindig performances by The Righteous Brothers, of their early rock 'n' roll and rhythm 'n' blues. There was comedy dancing, energy, and so much great music.
