- The E38 BMW 7 Series, produced from 1994-2001, is widely regarded as one of the greatest BMW saloon cars, not to mention the most handsome. I buy a 2000 728I Sport, but it’s not entirely without issues.

E38 is world class! Great car for enthusiasts.
The dashboard of the E38 is probably the best looking ever made.
I prefer the 728i actually. It pretty damn near bulletproof. While its not as fast as the v8, it's fast enough.

I have a 1999 728i . I payed double that ,last year its mint not one chip or scuff , its 99% i have a door handle light out thats it. .This sport looks nice love the colour is it coming up for sale ,I give mine a good blast once a month just floor it, it loves 40 to100 does it good gets it breathing again .so reliable not a money pit fairly cheap for parts if you shop around .plugs oil filter, buy cheap buy twice , its very quick for a heavy car good on fuel i get 40mpg on a run and 17 when i play with the step tronic but i love doing it big smile on my face .
just bagged a lovely silver 98 one. loving it. enough power (so smooth and quiet) and beautiful handling. this one is a keeper. its 85% how i want it but thats part of the fun. these cars are classics for sure. watch prices rise.

Most iconic BMW ever. After the E38 BMW has kind of lost its way with the 7 Series. None of the subsequent iterations have made as much of an impact as the E38.

Very few 750 IL came to America!
Best get that driver side rear view mirror cover ‘tightened up’ ASAP… I failed to do so on my ‘01 740iL and lost it… fell right off and even though I went back over my tracks couple times could not find it.
Wouldn't be a 728i without a National Trust sticker.

yeah, best looking 7 series saloon ever.. Is it hard to not go for a 750? The v12.. My neighbor had that one when i was younger and i always loved that car.
Did you find out why the engine was smoking? was it oil leak from the rocket cover gaskets?

90s BMW with straight sixes are bulletproof.
Old 728i are brilliant not vectras or mondeos they are vva vooom so nice .german smooth.
My car has 171000 and you cant here it running so quiete.
