I know it's a frame off resto but the way you did it you could daily that truck and it would last your lifetime. With the way you take care of things it will be a family heirloom for generations. Long live Grams truck.

I love watching you work . I feel like im watching a friend that i totally didnt know had mad skills and knowledge just get shit done. So cool and inspiring
I know im late on these but I'm binging them now and I have to say what a treasure to have and put love into a piece of family history and if used carefully( it's Sarah so it will be meticulously cared for) will serve Sarah well her whole life.
As someone who literally can't remember how many truck cabs/beds, and Jeep bodies (including the old Grand Wagoneer's and Cherokee Chief's) if you ever take one apart that far again invest in 4 plumb bobs and hang them from the front and rear mount bolt holes and use them to line up the body/bed to the frame. Makes life MUCH easier.
Seeing your car restorations is so satisfying because you think of all the small details. You're doing everything to the highest possible degree of perfection.
Angel of the morning...Might be wrong but it's what I wanted now. Splendid job with the Musical Chairs in getting these three elements back together. Funny, beautiful, and bittersweet. You're kicking it, Sarah!
I absolutely have to applaud you Sarah. I don't know of many guys that would attempt to do what you just done in this video by your self. Lots of work and amazing results as well. Thumbs Up for sure...
This little truck has definitely found its forever home! I’m running out of complimentary adjectives Sarah! Your Old School approach to restoration is nothing short of amazing. I can’t wait patiently for the next video! Need more soon!!
Sarah these Grandma's Ranger videos make my day, I am so invested in this series, and I followed all of your previous projects, there's just something special about this one. Here's to dreaming one day you take on a RX-7 and do the same, would be fun to watch you do your thing on a rotary engine. Cheer's!
Sarah, You are an absolute Treasure to the automotive industry, and your skills exceed all expectations. The Ranger is Beautiful, It is perfect in every way. I think it should be at the next SEMA show . Everyone needs to see your extreme Talent. Love you Sarah .
You are absolutely astounding Sarah. You are the only TH-cam creator that I literally drop what I am doing to view your videos the very minute they are released. I am beginning to think it's an addiction.
One cool tip I got on another channel that worked well for me... Drill a small hole in the POR can instead of opening the lid, pour out what you need and the material will seal the hole itself. No need to mess with taking the top of the can on and off. I did the exact same thing to the underside of my rusty Evo in a similar but not quite as extreme rebuild
Sarah, your abilities to measuredly control your OC Behavior is fun to watch because you keep a nice smile on you face. I've NEVER done any of this stuff, but watching you in action does not cease to Amaze me... For sure, your Gram is smiling down on you !! This rebuild is simply Fabulous and just Over the Top in all regards including the Sarah Fashion Show. Happy belated BDay .
@@BloodRaven1969 I believe it also stains the living daylights out of your skin if it gets on you, I am surprised Sarah didn't get any on her despite gloves!
Looks like brand new but is 4 times better than it was when brand new. Great job Sarah. I am in love with this truck and am searching for one of my own,
A suggestion. When your trying to line up the holes for mounting the bodies back to the frames , use a plumb bob hanging from the body to line up the holes in the chassis.
I might be more interested in Mr Dos or Mr Codsworth or you new Audi project, but getting your Gram’s Ranger to this point must be hugely rewarding - well done. Some of your best work!
First of all: congratulations on your birthday! Second: you're putting to shame a lot of people who just don't seem to get their project car done. You did a frame swap resto to your high standards in what seems like minimal time, and you did it for the most part by yourself. I am in awe.
That truck is looking super sweet, I love that your basically just rebuilding and re-freshening everything. That is everything that needed done, It nice to see you taking care of some older cars not just the new ones. Love your MR2 and this truck. Keep up all that you do, Love the show.
Laying on the POR thick and heavy was perfect the way you did it and it turned out great. I hope you touched up the areas where the lift pads were and put the POR on the missed spots. Congrats to you on our birthday too.
A map of elephant friendly car washes??? Awesome I was looking for one of those to wash my elephant :) super awewsome work as usual, your meticulus attention to detail is inspiring!
I would like to say this is a fantastic restoration, but this truck is looking far better than it did when it left Louisville or Edison. As usual Sarah, your attention to detail is second to none. Also, if you didn't get my message on IG, Happy Birthday!
There's always multiple ways to a destination, none of them are wrong if the outcome is achieved. I've done similar operations before, no method is ever better than another if it works. Love seeing this thing come together.
Hey Sarah. I'm gonna give you a piece of advice I got in 5th grade from an English teacher I still use to this day: Work smarter, not harder. Awesome job on the truck! Can't wait to hear it fire up!
Ah Sarah, flawless and successful completion so pleasing to watch. Poor Sreten of M539 his freshly rebuilt engine developed a knock on the first outing😪 yesterday. I needed this level of completion today, THX!
So worth the few hours delay while you were “celebrating” your 37th birthday yesterday! One of your best Gram’s Ranger videos to date, Sarah. Those little items like the adhesive soundproofing pads do so much to avoid the nuisances and later “regret”! 😉 Looking forward to “accoutrements” installation. 👍👍👍 ~ John
How proud your gramma must be! You are exceptional Sarah. Incredibly talented and most beautiful. Am sure I am not alone when I say how lovely it is when you do your 'do do do dee do's' !!Really impressive work.
I gotta say, I'm enjoying these old-car restoration videos more than your new car upgrades, or car reviews. As soon as I see that blue truck in thumbnail, I immediately click on it. Looking forward to your Quattro restore too.
I hope when the final bolt goes in you will start saying it's your truck that your Grandma looked after for you. The work, effort, time, part searching for days on days, and unquantifiable emotion you've put into this absolutely screams it from the results. You've done an amazing job so far and I hope you are very proud of yourself.
1:20 Here's a couple of tricks to avoid this issue with POR15. You can either lay a piece of plastic wrap between the can and the lid before closing it or (my preferred method) you can pour the content of the can into small baby food jars (making sure you empty the food out of the jar first! 😋) This way, when I need to POR something, I only need to open a small jar (with a rubber lined lid). Work wonders and is usually more than enough to cover the job I need it for.
Great job! I don't like asking for help either, and all the stupid crap I've done over the years by myself.. I'm happy to have all functioning limbs and no disabilities. Love all the "dumb"/silly things you do like next day intro/transitions; it makes your videos unique, likeable and relatable. We all do dumb things in our own special ways and some things you record, I nod along "yep, been there." That settling/running of POR over timelapse was satisfying to watch (the explanation, lol). Really great accomplishment to get that far in a quality rebuild.
This been a heck journey watching you restore your grandmother's truck! I've never seen anyone do anything like this step by step. looking forward to the finished project!
How to keep the rim of the paint can clean: first, get a pouring spout sized for the can and pour some in a small tray - don't 'contaminate' the paint in the can with a 'dirty' brush, and when putting the lid back on, put a piece of plastic wrap between lid and can.
I know it's a frame off resto but the way you did it you could daily that truck and it would last your lifetime. With the way you take care of things it will be a family heirloom for generations. Long live Grams truck.

Great to see it almost complete, that grin on your face was priceless! 😁 👍🇬🇧
Rubber between the frame and tray is a lot better than foam. Foam retains water and it compresses quite a bit.
I love the way you’ve done the Ranger. Your attention to detail is amazing and your funny little quips makes it even more fun to watch 😘
