  • I had an absolute blast on Free Comic Book Day. I was able to go to 2 different stores that were hosting sales. The first was Hot Comics in Jordan, MN for their 25 cent sidewalk sale and then I headed over to Bloomington, MN to Most Wanted Comics where they had a whole separate room filled with dollar comics. In MODERN--COPPER--BRONZE & SILVER--THESE COMIC SALES HAD IT ALL! I'll show you my haul. CHECK IT OUT!

Dang, so much envy in one video! 🤣
That's an amazing haul! Silver Age for WHAT?? So awesome! So many books that just had my jaw drop.
I had to laugh when you started talking about the "Expensive" dollar books. More so because of understanding. I've been to a 50 cent sale and that was enough to make a buck feel like too much. Can't imagine a quarter!
Again, awesome lot of books. Glad you got so many great deals and glad you shared!

I think those couple Silver Age books must have been overlooked and were just hiding in there but who knows. They aren't keys or anything but still surprising to find them at those prices.
I know! A dollar really feels spendy after getting similar books for half the price. It's all relative. I just had to remind myself that I love dollar books when I find them. Then I shook off the remnants of the quarter sale cheapness and appreciated the dollar books for the deal that they still are.

Hi Chris - congrats on a very nice haul. DC began their "Wanted" theme reprint comics in DC Special, with just a couple of issues in 1970 & '71. Some issues in the '72 ongoing series whose #1 you have there included Golden Age reprints -- most noteworthy a reprint of Solomon Grundy's debut, a 1944 GA Green Lantern story (in Wanted #4, 1972 ). Believe it or not, the reprint issues 1 thru 9 were collected in a 2020 jacketed hardcover titled DC's Wanted ($39.99, 260 pages) -- and also added were 3 stories for a mock-up of unpublished #10...! !~~ Best, "DC" Jim

So much knowledge. I love it. Thank you for sharing. I really like learning the publishing history behind titles. It’s just another fun aspect of this great hobby.
