  • We took an evening trip from our home in Amsterdam to Rotterdam (the second largest city by population in The Netherlands), so we could visit the Euromast Tower! The tower is over 184 meters high and now has a fun/scary new feature... see-through floors! The elevator ride to the top has been upgraded and you really should see it! How scared were we?!

    ✼ ABOUT US ✼
We are Nate and Katrina, two American expats living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and traveling as much as we can to see what there is to see!
We balance a busy career and grad school while we explore Europe and beyond. We would love to visit every country in Europe while we live here, and definitely keep a list of our global “must visit” destinations.
We probably won’t look or sound like many other travel vlogs out there! We really want to give you a true view of us and how we travel and explore the world. Lots of food, definitely some jokes, and probably some swearing…. Hope you enjoy taking these trips with us!

We were absolutely captivated by your video. The joy in your exploration of every nook and cranny of the Euromast was contagious. Heartfelt thanks for choosing to visit us; your enthusiasm for the new glass floor experience truly touched us.
Just a bit of context: our 'From Me to We' initiative is a reflection of the diverse tapestry of our city, hence the tagline 'Colourful Rotterdam'. It's this blend of diversity and unity that makes Rotterdam so uniquely beautiful.
Thank you once more for sharing your journey. We eagerly await your next visit!

When you guys were up there, we were waving to you from Schiedam. Did you see us? We were the ones the size of ants cheering from our balcony with glasses of jenever in broken Dutch. Really enjoy your content!

The Euromast is not the highest tower in the Netherlands, the Gerbrandy tower in IJsselstein is more than twice as high (372 m). Though not accessible to the public for it’s a communications tower. In the holiday season it transforms into the largest Christmas tree in the world, with lights on all its cables. I could see it from my house some 30 km away …
The Euromast is cool though, I’ve been there several times with family from abroad and the views are always amazing, in whatever weather. Did you know there also is actually a hotel on the kraaiennest at a height of about a 100 m?

I guess we didn't specify the tallest tower that you can actually go up into. But thanks for the clarification. And yes, we did know about the hotel up there. Thanks for watching!

I’ve not been in the Gerbrandy Tower but a former boss of mine did. He did it on a very clear day and could even see the mountains in Germany. He was allowed to visit as a sponsor of the first Christmas Tree lighting of the tower, back in the early 90’s.

So "Euroscoop" only refers to the 7 minutes trip up and down in this "flying cabin" right? You don't get to have free time on the terrace up above? How long is the whole experience? Is the cabin very narrow? If you buy a ticket for Euroscoop do you also have free access to the store and restaurants on the tower?

Wat een pokkenherrie in de lift! (Should be able to translate that ;o)). The restaurant is still pretty pretentious, as it was the last time I was there. I'm curious whether you were allowed to enter Amsterdam again after your trip to the enemy :o).
