I am still very proud to say I was fortunate enough to be at this concert. He was incredible. Such a modest and wonderfully talented man, and still so dreadfully missed.
I care very deeply about this Man and his LOVELY 🎶🎵. A REAL PERSON. NO PRETENCES, AND NO INSECURITY....HE'S SOMEBODY WHO LOVED AND CAREFULLY PERFORMED HIS MUSIC FOR THOSE WHO CARED ENOUGH TO LISTEN. I DID AND ILL ALWAYS LOVE HIS Humility, Grace, and knowledgeable way he imparted his intelligence.
I cannot agree with you more Marylou I can’t believe t was 21 years ago last month we lost an absolute wonderful, amazingly talented, singer, song writer, producer, mixer, guitarist His voice is as smooth as silk ❤ God Bless Enjoy xx
So talented, with his talent reaching into so many facets of music, using so many different instruments, different sounds, yet always remained so humble.
I took my brother, to this concert, for his birthday present. What a fantastic occasion it was. The acoustics were excellent and the radio 2 bbc orchestra were fantastic and complemented robert's band...superbly!
I was blessed to see this extremely talented British artist in concert at the Dominion Tottenham Ct. Road where his band and he tore the place up. He was as admired as much by his peers as his audience and it's a great shame that we don't have him with us still. Rest in peace Robert.
Saw Robert Palmer only once, at Wolfgang’s in SF (Bill Graham’s club) in 1978... was a huge fan and never stopped loving his music...I think he’s highly UNDERrated
I think ROBERT PALMER IS IN A CLASS BY HIMSELF. HE AND HIS 🎶 ARE TIMELESS. ALWAYS A DIFFERENT PERFORMANCE EACH session THERE IS A RECORD CREATED. JUST LOVE HIS SOULS MUSIC, ETERNALLY.... It takes every kind of people; . To fight against wrong with his life...every kind of people make this Earth we share a home. Loves the only goal that brings Peace to every SOUL .....❤😅
Always loved Robert Palmer's singing but this smooth style is great….. man can sing up a storm….. so comfortable in this style of music…. he sang what touched him for that part of time….. such a class act right here and always…. RIP ROBERT
Love this ❤️ thoughtful, natural, soulful singer;his presence of mind and spirit is clearly missed by so many. Would love to have heard him in concert with Mavis Staples too.
thru all genres he surpassed em all n left us w such wonderful memories of his talent. Seeing Robert perform live was all it took to see the best...love the GUY
I will never ever forget the time I saw him at the Jones Beach Theater on Long Island N.Y. He sang a cover of Connie Francis "Stupid Cupid" that was so unexpected and so good that people were standing and cheering. I will never forget that night. Thank You For The Memory Robert Palmer, You are a class gentleman whom I shall never forget. I also saw him with Power Station a year or so earlier and that performance is what brought me back for more.
I was born the year before this concert; listening to Pride as we speak, so yeah you don't have to be older to appreciate great music - he tore the stage up and conquered the audience, including my heart.
I wish someone could have saved his life! He is amazing! MIss you, Robert. I even named my son Robert because RP was such a great representative of the name. Plus it was a family name as well, but he definitely added to the reasons why I had to name my little guy Robert.
Thanks for sharing. I saw snippets elsewhere. Not sure if this is a full show, but it is great! We just don't have artists like this today. He could weave in and out of genres unlike anyone I know. They called Bowie a chameleon. While that might be true, Palmer did so effortlessly and I think we all agree, with class. God, we need more of that in music today.
+Francisco Diogo Lopes A gentleman isn't simply someone who dresses in a nice suit and looks cool. I'm a big fan but lyrically most of his songs were dull womanizing bs and love crap. That's not gentlemanly.
Got it. Finally i learned my lesson. My apologies. Ithought i was doing my job and found out some jealous guy was threatened by seeing my share was destined to be for one love of the earth and those that are lovers of PEACE. CIAO BELLA, ROBERTO, AMORE .ML
There is no profit in deceit. It takes every kind of people that makes the world go round. It takes every kind of people to make what life's about.❤keep an eye on Spring....
Only saw him once: Aug 11, 1976(7?) in Central Park, NYC. Bobbye Hall on percussion. Muddy Waters opened for him. Best concert I have ever seen on my birthday, and one of the best ever with 2 of my top favorite performers of all time (this from a Deadhead). This was back when he was working a lot with Lowell George. A man who could do every genre - perfectly.
much respect to him for doing this .. to perform with repertoire so croony, evergreeny, jazzy and bluesy is a show of courage as well as true love for the depth of so many music styles the likes of Sinatra used to perform. hats off.. I was devastated when I heard of his death.. as teenager I loved Vinegar Joe so much, then late 70's, early 80's I was so fortunate to work for the record company representing his label in my country and oh... he was such a gentleman every time he came over for promo and tv... unforgettable Robert. Seeing this... does make me teary and appeals to emotions...
He is wounderful 😍 😍 he was looking hundsom with this smoking 😍😍the first time i see him to singing 🎶 so beautiful music 🎶 the best 🤗 🤗 I am feeling like Julia waiting for my Romeo, and dancing 🎶 all the nigth very close with my prince's 🤴 dress 👗 but pink clar I just want to say I love you 😍 thank you so much 🙏 😇 I can dream 😉maybe my dream come true ☺️ only got knows 😇😇really was excellent and beautiful 😊😊
Had a good time back in the early 90s listening to Don't Explain Album, didn't know this marvel, wonder if I can get hold of the cd somewhere. Music never to be forgotten, thankls Rob!!!

This guy could really do it all, sing, write, interpret other people's classic songs and add a new dimension to them. I was very privileged to see him live at the Dominion in Tottenham Court Road in 1980 where he was nowhere close to his peak performance but great nonetheless. A sad loss but we still have the documentary proof of his greatness. Rest in Peace Robert.
Dear God; the majority of the planet knows this man for maybe 4 songs. I had no idea this existed until now and only experienced the surface of Robert Palmer.

@StartabandRoxy.....sounds like a bit of jealousy on your part....
Raymond Faron
This is the standard unthinking comment that is heard over and over. Make a complaint about something and ... you're jealous!
