It’s different in my case. Lived in Bangalore all my life with my family. Parents live just across the street. We took care of ourselves from cooking to cleaning. Never had to depend on parents, atleast not after marriage. But the thing that we sacrifice going abroad is comfort and convenience which in my opinion only India can offer. I live in Dublin, it’s quite boring and depressing to be honest. Summer is a lil better but overall I wouldn’t want to continue long term. Planning to go back to Bangalore in 2 yrs. we have better investment options and job opportunities to lead a good life.
I completely agree with what u said. I want to add some more points. 1st thing is none of the companies here gives 1 month of annual leave like in GCC. maximum we get is 21 days. So if u want to go home then up and down tickets will be around 2500. So if you are a family of 3 then from the very 1st month itself you have to save for ur vacation. but gccil angane alla. nattil pokanum varanum elupamanu. Well settled allathavark family nattinu kond pokanum varanoke alpam task anu. Ividuthe tax cutting anu main preshnam. ethra joli cheythalum paise thikayunila.. We came last year as PR... moving soon back to India or GCC.
Bro don't mix up loneliness and laziness. I am in India and I still feel depressed even though I have all the facilities available. My cousin is staying in Canada. He's a positive energetic and always active person. But after he went to Canada, he became depressed because he was not getting time to meet people, even his own house mates because of stufies and job. If they are finding it difficult to do the tasks themselves then its also a depression sign. You are talking about people that don't want to hustle and they are 'upset' about the responsibilities. Moving to another country will definitely be challenging for mental health no matter how you were in your country before. Especially if you are alone and have no friends.

Oro naadinu athintethaya samskarangal und. If you are living in a western country, the reality is every household is full of lonely people. So if you have a roof over your head, food on your plate and paycheck coming in every month, you are considered living a very normal, average working class life. Nobody expects anybody to help you with groceries or cooking or laundry. But this is hard for Indians to get used to. Because we lived in a highly interactive and social society. When you are here, you should not expect people and trust me if you invite people, mostly you are inviting trouble.. 😂
