Mom in the Background made me chuckle. Hey you are very encouraging, maybe can you get a tripod or a better camera? I love to see you youtubechannel grow.
Hello madam. I was so happy to find a video for the replacement of the dmd chip for the w700 Benq. Great video great details. All the way from Greece I want to ask where did you purchase the chip from “ if you can share this info” and if it worked. I have the same issue with the white spots on the screen.
Hi Dr. Handy Mom, my projector currently needs a dmd chip replacement. So if I saw it correctly in your video you got a 1280-xxxxB as a replacement. May I ask what your projected picture looked like, because I found a lot of conflicting information online. After following your tutorial and having a look at my original chip which is a 1272-xxxxB and ordering it, I got sent a 1280. Now wondering if I should sent it back or keep it. Great video and already helped a lot, really appreciated. Thanks
Hi there, i'm in the same situation right now, did you figure this out? The original projector chip is 1272 (which i'm pretty sure comes from the projector's resolution of 1280 x 720) but an aliexpress seller said that i'd need to order the 1280 chip. Maybe 1280 works as well?
Somehow your answer doesn't show up in this thread but I've read it in my notifications. Thank you so much. For other people who can't see 4RMUND's answer, the 1280 works, but "in a really dark room you can see a slightly bigger projection space. You can see it better in darker scenes. But if there is some sort of light source nearby it is barely/not noticeable." I'll probably try to find a 1272, then, but it's good to know the 1280 works too. I really don't understand why the aliexpress sellers think that the 1280 is the correct chip for this projector.
Hi, I replaced the DMD chip because I had a lot of white dots. Now everything seems fine except that in the bottom left corner of a 100-inch image, there's a brighter area, roughly 40 cm in height and 40 cm in width. Is this the chip's fault, or has some other component gotten dirty?
Awesome! Took me 50 euro-bucks on eBay for a chip-ment from China, your video and less than an hour to make our projector work again. Thank you!
Really good and helpful vid, Replaced and it works. Hope the chip lasts a few years, course took me almost 2 h changing it.
Thx so much😊
Thanks for your video from Spain. It was very usefull for me.
Happy Christmas!

Thanks - Chip is replaced - no Spots any more on the picture.
Where did you order the chip from if I may ask?
