  • Zener Diode as Voltage Regulator in Hindi | Very Easy | Tech Gurukul by Dinesh Arya
    Zener Diode is a general purpose diode, which behaves like a normal diode when forward biased. But when it is reverse biased above a certain voltage known as zener breakdown voltage or zener voltage . The voltage remains constant for a wide range of current.
    Zener Diodes are widely used as Shunt Voltage Regulators to regulate voltage across small loads. Zener Diodes have a sharp reverse breakdown voltage and breakdown voltage will be constant for a wide rang of currents. Thus we will connect the zener diode parallel to the load such that the applied voltage will reverse bias it. Thus if the reverse bias voltage across the zener diode exceeds the knee voltage, the voltage across the load will be constant.

    16:27 you didn't tell about what happen when Vth is exactly equal to Vz. i think the zener diode also works at ON state at this equal condition. i am right sir? subscriber from Nepal.

    Output voltage constant rakhne ke liye current is changing, toh ye current regulator device na hoga, aap bol rhe hai voltage regulator

    sir pllz its a humble request. Don't put so many adds in a single video its so irritating.Ya i appreciate your content it's really good.But pllz decrease the frequency of adds . In a single video of only 10-14 mins you are putting about 3-4 adds which is not a good number sir,..Please think about it once.

    so if v=vz then the zener diode will be activated but what will be the voltage drop across resistor I m confused even in this it voltage drop should be there since current is flowing through it
