You do have a way with words, the narration through this video almost painted a picture of what it could have been like during the war. That was some impressive mileage to do in a day, over 700km, no wonder you were knackered
Saffy that was beautifully done paying respect to the soldiers and thanks for showing us the Bunkers . You are so awesome raising awareness and money for the air Meds . Be Safe please looking forward to more !!
Hey Saffron, Jim’s just sent me a link to your channel - we all spent an evening chatting in the filthy weather at Nordkapp Camping after our paths crossed all the way up the coast of Norway. Amazingly, it was even more coincidental than I realised: our bikes (KTM390 and VStrom) are also in this vid - indeed I remember seeing your tent, and the drone in the air, from our hytte opposite you. Glad to see you’re home safe.
@@SaffySprocket looking forward to it. Was pretty awful the night you arrived quite dishevelled from the storm - plus I’d been blown clean off the road earlier that afternoon, on the coast road south of Honningsvåg. We decided to take all of the panniers and kit off to ride up that evening in the fading light to Nordkapp, because it was simply too terrifying in the strong winds. Will watch the remainder of your trip with a mix of nostalgia and glee.

Great video as always. How are you finding the army ration packs? Are they giving you all that you need to get through the day? The only thing that puts me off buying them is the price, I know i could feed myself similar food bought at home for a fraction of the cost. I'm a pretty good cook so a bit of crafty camp cooking wouldn't bother me 😂
There's pros and cons to both! I buy them for multiple reasons, e.g. I hate cooking, I hate washing up, and I 100% know that if I'm tired at the end of the day, I would most likely go to bed hungry before I found the energy to go out and buy food. Ultimately, you have to do what works for you, and what you enjoy the most. I enjoy having ration packs that I can cook and eat in 10 minutes with no need to wash up, if buying and cooking food makes it a more enjoyable experience for you, than that's what you do. Motorcycle Touring isn't about having something to prove, it's about travelling in a way you actually enjoy 😊
@SaffySprocket Thanks for the reply. I get your point. It's about convenience. I suppose you could have your pack warming up while you're putting your tent up and tuck in under cover.
I like it because I fill up my FastBoil with water, put my meal in the hot water, boil it, then use the water for a brew whilst I eat. There's half a pot of hot water left over, which I use to clean my cup and spoon and jobs a good'en. That's it 😂
Drones are legal in Norway, the DJI app adjusts the fight height etc to fall in line with local laws. In practice, absolutely no one cares as long as your respectful of privacy and people
@@SaffySprocketThat’s a dangerous attitude to take. The rules are clear about using drones abroad and only a fool would ignore them. People do care, especially responsible drone pilots. They hate casual users like yourself who abuse the laws and put the freedom of other drone users at risk. If you’re going to be a blogger and influencer respect the basic laws and act professionally.
To fly legally in any EU country you need to gain a Class 1-3 licence in one of them. You then have to fly within the individual laws of the country that you are flying in. All the information is easy to find online. Beware as huge areas, including most national parks are no fly zones. Relying on the DJI software is a bad idea; in France for example the no fly zones shown on the DJI controllers do not correlate with those shown on the official Geoportail maps. The fines for failing to follow drone laws can be huge and in some countries some flying, like controlling a drone from a moving vehicle can be punished by jail sentences. Flying beyond VLOS is another basic rule ignored by many influencers buy seen as important by the authorities. In the USA all drone users who get paid for their TH-cam content are treated as professionals and need to pass the FAA exams and hold a professional Class 2 licence. Saffy Sprocket’s flippant reply to your question was naïeve and incorrect.
I have a Garmin device that tracks my location via GPS and Iridium network, then I downloaded my data file, after that I used a website to convert it into a video (it was a paid service), I'll need to dig the name of the website out. Tried loads of different conversion services, but in the end, this website was the thing that worked the best, I think I paid about £30 for a year's sub to the sever
Your travel plans are strange. Why three days of average mileage on motorway after motorway followed by a rest day when the journey could have been planned along more interesting roads at a more relaxed pace over the four days. I suppose being overtired and erecting tents in the dark adds to the drama of your videos but what a waste of an opportunity. Motorcycle travel should be about the journey, if you want to sit on motorways all day every day buy a diesel hatchback.
