Love Tom .At 0:29 line bass of "daddy should have stayed in high school " and at 2:58 "speak now or forever hold your peace " Fantastic .From their first album .From France ;)
The reason I play a T-Bird. My palms sweat, and I get goose bumps when I hear that tone! Such a HUGE influence..Tom rules! Gibson needs to do a Tom signature model..
Cool! I bought an Le hamer tele with your dudes signatures on it from trade up. Toured with it and sadly the names have worn off. Good to see you playing
@@erics3644 They are awesome, I believe that Tom now uses a Orange AD200 Bass head thru Orange 4×12 speaker cabinets, and uses either a Hiwatt or a Reeves amp as his backup

@@karlkoch5515 cheap? The fact that hardly a single proper note is played like you normally would on a bass, is frustrating. And the distortion is fucking aweful. I want to hear what this bass can do. And this doesnt do it. Its like test driving a car by sitting in the back seat.
Old Gibson basses are Awesome! Worth the money!

And at the very end, a snippet of "California Man".
Yay, Tom Petersson! Long Live Cheap Trick!
Tom’s such an awesome bass player. Been following him and Cheap Trick since I first saw them open for KISS in 1977.

Yup. I play guitar and bass, but T-Birds are the only Gibson I will ever find myself buying.
Get a epiphone vintage pro and refinish it
No shit!!!!!!!!! Love that candy apple red finish!!!!!!!! Great tone
Gretsch actually makes a signature model for Tom.
@@JuanCruz-un9jy I think they were stating that Gibson should make a TBird signature Tom Petersson model bass
Tom,
I’m still listening to you after all these years. Congrats on the RRHOF induction! Cheap trick rocks!🎶🎶🎶🎶
Awesome bass! Killer tone !!!
Hiwatts were great for bass. Slade's Jim Lea used Hiwatt DR201s with his EB3 and got awesome tone from it.
Tom Petersson is an excellent bass player. I hope he’s recovered from his heart surgery.
Tom! I first saw you in Pawtucket Rhode Island in 1978 when you boys opened for Rainbow. Best wishes for you.

01:36 - AMEN, TOM!
Tone amazing!
Love this!
if someone picks up a bass and wants to test it out, this is how it ought to be
I miss when it was legal for Gibson to make these in colors other than floor varnish and black....
Greetings! I am from the future! Gibson has released non reverse models available in Inverness green, Pelham blue, and sparkling burgundy.
Class act.
I saw that lab cruise by!
Excellent
He still makes a 4 string sound like a multi string
What type of pickups in terms of specs are on that thing?
Jesus … a 64’ T-bird coming out of a Hiwatt head……. A wet dream to say the least.
dog walks by at 3:28
Lmao thank you
Sounds like a perfect Brass Balls Canon, I wouldn't let it go for love or bucko, a one to couple a note wantan special.
Is that just the amp or distortion pedal?
Okay this is EXACTLY the In Colors tone. Wondered if it was a P or a TB, clearly it's so much this
Yeah he always played bass like a guitar.
Yeah, that's cause it is a guitar. A bass GUITAR.
@@joedecker3900 Any more profound revelations? Can you read minds? What am I thinking?
That Hi-watt bass head though!!!
That's the magic..
@@hyperdog67 the magic amp! just like when you see Robin Ford or David Lindley and a Dumble amp..
I think that's a 70's Hiwatt 100 Lead.. a guitar head.. that's the secret to Tom's tone.....
That era of amps were just amps. I played an Orange OR120 for years. Didn't say guitar or bass on it. Just use hearing protection. LOL

Tom is a total babe
Does Tom ever comb his hair?
It’s called rock star bed head
Nothing sounds like a thunderbird.......
honestly, this is terrible
yeah not so great. right?

@@hyperdog67 i do thank you.
Its just the distortion sounds horrible. And not a single simple note is played.
Just widdly stuff
@@andyg3 This comes from a guy posting cheap Nirvana bass covers... Sorry but bad starting point for critics 😂
