The mark of a true craftsman lies in how often you can say:
'I could achieve the goal one way, which would be easier, or I could go this way which is harder but better. I'll go with the harder, better way.' Never ceases to amaze me how often he can continue to take the harder, better path. Amazing work, sir.

Hi Jerry, no one in their right mind would take on a project like this but that's what makes you a genius. All genius's were deemed crazy at one point of their lives. When this project is done, a person is going to be so grateful it makes it all worthwhile. That's why you are the best at this.

Jerry, this is amazing and the joy of Anastasia was so worthwhile seeing. I e repaired instruments before although not to this scale and I love the expression it achieves on the recipients. I’m a songwriter and I’d love you to play mandolin on some on my songs. One day I’ll buy a guitar from you so if you can let me know your prices for a build I’ll start saving. In the meantime you are a true genius and that is no flattery! Dominic Ward

My friend had a Taylor guitar that was as smashed just as bad as that violin, normally you would toss it and go buy another but this guitar had been a gift from his father who had died suddenly not long after, one trick my friend used when he glued it back together was to soak heavy strong brown paper in glue and then laid it over the cracks inside the instrument as reinforcement. he put glue into the cracks and then clamped them until dry and then added the brown paper reinforcement as an "extra" little bit of strengthening.

I tried to repair plastic items shattered in pieces and I couldn't agree more with Jerry when he says: "you need to do one small thing at a time, THE BEST YOU CAN, considering the project as a whole will get you overwhelmed". It is true indeed when I failed it was for that reason.

I can really have respect the Fiddle/Violin , the KING of the instrument's most closely sounding next to a human voice..........I still play mine it was hand built by a old family friend now long passed on .....mine sounds deep also with real nice full highs ....the old friend said the sound post needs to be placed just right ...you would know .....loved the rebuild fix thanks
