People need to know that worm poop is the absolute best garden fertilizer you can ever get. Ask the old farmers, they will tell you because worms also move an break up the hard soil to allow rain to get to the roots of your plants. Great video, an you can use a old bath tub or old fridge an lay it on its back , remove inside of the door so you only have the metal door an make sure you add plenty of air holes an a drain hole in bottom to have a bucket under to catch water. Worm beds also love old bread, no mold tho. Lay bread down an check it in few hours those worms will be all up inside the slices. God bless us all and check on your neighbors especially if times get really hard. Share food and be there for the elderly people. They will really be needing us if it gets bad and they will love to see you and receive any food that you bring them, including families with children. Never let others go hungry when you could have helped them. They just might be there there for you when you get older an need help and they won't forget that you helped them years ago. Just like the circle of life, I believe everything comes back around full circle. I remember 21 years ago when I was physically able to deer hunt with 15 deer tags from farm permits I did tag out but our freezers were stuffed and I would give whole deers away to poor families who didn't have any hunters in the homes but had mom's and children so I made sure they had plenty of awesome deer meat for them and I also give several families cash because Christmas was coming up that next month and I could afford to help them. Paying it forward like I do alot of it warms the heart, so if you never tried it that is such a great feeling. Try it an see. Great video, an when I had my boat years ago I loved teaching kids how to fish. That was so much fun and I can still remember going to my local Walmart and buying those fishing pole kits that come with rod n reel and a small tackle box and it had the basic things to start children out and I gave kids a new pole set if they didn't have their own. Some of the kids had a pole, but belonged to parents or someone else and I'd give them their own and taught them how to use them and proper way to set their line up. But first I had about 12 or 15 kids from 5 years old an up standing on river bank casting out into the water with only a sinker at end of line. Once they were good at casting and reeling back 8n I added swivel and long shank hooks. It's Alot easier removing hook if you have a piece of hook to get after fish swallows their hooks. But they learned. I had over 20 kids in my boat back then just catching perch for the trot line. All I did was sit in my chair putting on worms and removing fish an tying on new hooks when tree branch or root was hot their hooks. We all had so much fun. Plus all their parents knew their children were safe with me and those perch they caught, we used for bait on trot lines to catch huge cats. Then after 2 days we always had a Huge fish fry an Everyone is Welcome to my Fish frys. We would feed over a hundred people every few days and they loved it as much as we did. I'm wanting fresh perch right now here at 8am in the morning with 6 to 8 inches of snow on the ground and still coming in hard an fast. No telling how much snow we will end up with but I sure am thankful for your videos and letting me go back in my past remembering them good old days down on the river an camping out. I still worked Monday through Friday but stayed at the river instead of at home and it was only an extra 25 mile drive extra but well worth it. I miss those days. God bless us all.
I stay up in LC and the same thing happened for Laura We lost our fishery and a lot more with that storm The winds alone devastated my home Years later we still feeling it But we are recovering
Living in southeast Louisiana is a true blessing. My family has lived here for generations! Nobody leaves, I’m 53 and never had a plan to leave either. It is sad to see what Ida caused, it was a extremely powerful and destructive storm. But the fisheries will come back and people will stay and rebuild. We are resilient we are strong! And we can and will be self reliant if need be! Great video, keep them coming! Ready for teal?? Lol Kelly
im from Southeast Texas and enjoy all your content but i find myself on your fishing content more, but whatever you do keep up this level of great content, cant believe how well you do and the quality of editing and videos for such a small content creator, you have a new sub great job
How ya pops was talking about how much he loves South LA is how I feel about it too My dad is from the 318 and yessir it’s different Hills huge trees so many laid in thicker than some swamps But they got their own majesty beautiful lakes rivers and ponds and the views from atop those hills is amazing Now down here the sounds of the swamp and pink sky at dusk The green and grey of the cypress trees The beauty of the marsh has no competition out there I’ve been to Georgia Texas Mississippi None of it matches
Count your blessings bruh! Your way of life is the shiznit man! I wish we had it like that in this part of the country. Hopefully, I can get myself and son out that way, I know he would love it!
Made my day when you crunched down on dat tater chip tail!!! Totally agree with you on Love where we live. No other place like South Louisiana. Keep em coming Nate. 😊🍻
Gary has quite the worm setup there. That was informative. I think eating those fish fins is good for your bones. Question, what the heck is a lake runner?
Katrina was strong but if the levees didn't break it wouldn't still be talked about. I think Ida was stronger than recorded but who's to say. Learn to live off the land and you'll never regret it. Love the video and the message. Come on hunting season!!
I agree with you. Louisiana is number 1 in my heart and in my blood. You my man are a first class Louisiana MAN. Thanks
Love the Bayou waters of Deep South Louisiana
Same!
I agree with Mr. Garret. I have been living in Des Allemands since I was 18 and I have thought about moving but I love this pice of paradise
