I am still in the process of trying to fix this for anyone curious. I have recorded a few times of trying to fix it, but as I still haven't gotten anywhere I wasn't sure it was worth uploading. I have since tried applying pressure to the motherboard near where the soldered RAM is (though the soldered RAM is on the back side of the board so I have to push around where the unpopulated RAM slot is or middle of the keyboard) in case it was broken solder from board flex, have scrubbed the whole exposed side of the board with isopropyl alcohol (in case of mild liquid damage, corrosion, oxidation, etc.), have tried powering on with main battery unplugged, have used a USB multimeter to measure the amps pulled which I think helps to detect shorts. I'm just getting into the voltage probing phase. I got 3V from somewhere on the EC chip which I believe is normal. I think I'll have to find a datasheet or something to know what voltages certain other parts should be at. I'm watching lots of other repair videos in the meantime trying to pick up some tips. If anyone has additional info or ideas, feel free to comment them.
