Episode Ignis made great leaps to show just how much FFXV's characters and story meant to the franchise, and honestly, I personally believe that the game should receive justice of a Remake; one that adhered to the Novel because for God's sake Noct and Luna need a break, and not just in the afterlife :(
Atleast we can take solace in the fact that the ending is interpretable. I always go with the Crystal revived the two, as the throne room they embrace in is still broken, like in the living world. Square wouldn’t oversight something like that for such an importance scene, and the lighting effects indicate that they were aware there was still a bashed hole in the wall.
I personally believe Noctis and Lunafreya were revived, as proven possible by the Novel itself.
Just reading this actually makes me more appreciative of the game we got, even if the story was a bit half-baked. :)
If FFXV ever gets a remake, I think it's better if they stick to Nomura's original vision. Y'know? That dark atmospheric adventure, where you have a love interest (Stella) that is not a damsel in distress, and where Noctis is inside the Imperial Capital when the invasion happened, and he is battling hordes of imperial armies. That kind of story. The one that was presented in Versus XIII
@@michaelrobosa146No, there should be a new game for FFVXIII entirely. A remake of FFXV would be very welcome. It has space for both games.

Idk if anyone noticed, but at 0:04 of the video if you look close to the sword of Ravus, u can see that he switch the pose of the sword in his hand

That thunderbolt attack near the beginning is exactly like Regis’s in Episode Ardyn.
Hope we get an Episode Ravus DLC, the character have so much history and epicness!! Would be awesome a Ravus vs Ardyn fight for avenge Luna or something like that!!

I don't know if this is true but I heard Ravus, Aranea, and Lunafreya were going to have DLC's but they were cut. If so, I really wanted an Episode Aranea

I think releasing this kind of stuff as DLC rather than in the main game was a mistake. Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto's campaigns could have easily been integrated into the game and I think it would have made each storyline and character arc flow so much more smoothly. One of the major downfalls of FFXV's story in my opinion is how you're locked so tightly into Noctis's perspective throughout the entire thing that many things never get fleshed out as well as they should. And I'm not even just talking about the other party members --- I'm talking about Lunafreya, Ravus, Ardyn, Aranea, etc. Even major players for the Empire like Aldercapt or Besithia. The method of storytelling in the game is so limited, and even now, after all the updates and DLCs, it doesn't quite feel like a complete experience.
It's moments of brilliance like these that really make me think FFXV COULD have been one of the most amazing Final Fantasy experiences, at least from a narrative standpoint, ever. And I'm not even talking about the craziness during development with Versus XIII. I'm talking about THIS story and the versions of these characters that we ended up with. There's so much interesting lore and all these fascinating characters that just never quite lived up to their potential, and I think they could have if everything had been fleshed out more.
It's pretty sad that FFXV is being called as 'one of the or THE worst FF game' out there. The game had so much potential. Everyone who is playing the game has to play all four DLC's to understand the whole story or to get more informations about characters like Ravus, Ardyn, Besithia and so on. It's also sad that they cancelled the Aranea, Luna and Noctis DLC. Especially the Aranea DLC would have been important for the story because the Noctis and Luna one would have told an alternate timeline.
With Aranea you could have explored Niflheim, find more out about the Niflheim characters and stuff like that.
@@mirroreclipse3049 Sadly, I think part of the reason it gets so much hate is simply because it isn't FF Versus XIII. Many of the criticisms it gets are valid, but it's always going to be stuck in the shadow of what might have been. I think think there's so much more the developers could have done with these characters and their story, but I enjoy the product we ended up with as well, despite some of its pitfalls.
And if you want to know what happened to the dude that killed King Regis, you have to watch a fucking movie. FFXV relies to much on outside main game material. I loved Dawn of the Future, that should've been the true ending to FFXV
@@KuraiShogun I mean.....I get your point but it's nice that you can watch the anime of FFXV on TH-cam for free. As for the movie, yes. They could have integrated the movie into the game as some kind of tutorial or intro but they probably didn't want you to play as Nyx cause Noctis is the protagonist of the story
Not to mention that controlling Ignis or Gladio in-game can be anoyingto learn, but in their DLC not only you have no choice, but also have more than enought chances to learn how to use them so you can use them fine if you want to.
They only fought because Ignis didn’t make a meal
FFXV is an amazing game, maybe one of the best in the franchise, but it would be nice to have a remaster or a definitive edition with all the necessary changes.
That was originally intended for when dawn of the future would have wrapped up, but tragically it was canned…

It's moreover that Ravus was blinded by his rage, and that both were tired from fighting their way to Noctis
Ignis is the strongest dastard in the game so in-game yes, in universe probably not, he beats Noctis, Gladio and Prompto at their peak in this game.
Noctis had royal arms and the ring of the lucii yet none were strong enough to stop Ignis.
@@LuckiSir true but ignis is some what stronger than gladiolus but but physically he is equal what makes him strong is the fact that ignis conserves his strength and has more control making him a better fight but gladiolus is more of a brute witch is what makes him the perfect figure for the Kings sheild
@Dominic Docherty it's just a bossfight to be a bossfight guys lmao it's not like after the fight ended ravus died he literally walked and sat next to luna while ignis was standing gasping for air so basically this fight doesn't tell is that ravus is stronger than ignis or vice versa

I've always wondered why Ravus can use Elemancy... Could he have been blessed by Regis upon putting the Ring on?? He had the Sword of the Father and I doubt the Lucii would let just anyone be in possession of the glaives without some reason.

I brought the game late and the guy asked if I wanted a digital code for the dlc and I was like, WHY THE HELL NOT, even brought the royal pack to get armiger unleashed, still hate how unpopular the game got so quickly tho.

Only ignis can defeat ravus in hand to hand combat
Ravus, like many other FF15 characters was designed so well, but suffered from the games horrible writing and pace. Cool to see more of him In this episode. He needs his own. Hopefully we will get him in opera omnia one day
