I asked and you both delivered. This channel shall now have my unceasing loyalty from this day until my last day. It was also very informative as to why the current "meta" for imperial agents is the way it is LOL. Great video as always gentlemen!
Space Marine Steve, have you ever run SM Captain/Gravis armor as solo super dudes running around wrecking stuff? Love to hear from both of you on this.
I have actually! Haha except the unit to run by himself is absolutely Lysander lol Because for one turn he can get a 2+ invul save and be invincible for a little while Really annoying
It's laughably expensive (205) but 10 Voidsmen + Rogue Trader: 14 infiltrating bodies to string like 32" across to push back enemy infiltrators. Then, you redeploy them to a more reasonable spot to lean into the Lethal hits. The save is bad, but the FNP will help a little with that.
AND redeploy D3 Imperium Battleline...I use a 5 man voidsmen with rogue traders in my IK army list with great success. Screening, infiltration, redeploy, grenades, all things IK does not usually have access to
They defiantly can fill a role at doing that for sure, but there points are a bit high I think. and the codex has so many options for that sort of thing.
I ran Draxus with a 10 man Scion squad. Making the Scion command squad your general makes them battleline. Lets her reroll hits against objectives too!
Might be worth noting in regards to the Rogue Trader: -They can join 5 Voidsmen to become a Battleline unit so they can redeploy themselves. You could stretch them out in a line to deny most of the board to enemy infiltrators, then redeploy them in front of enemy scout transports. -Knight Armigers are Batteline.
great episode, I've yet to try any of these options as I've been purely a chaos player until now. I'll probably pick up some voidsmen at arms at some point, their models are so cool too
And you could always double them as chaos cultists if the paint scheme fits. who says chaos cultists have to be dirty savages', fancy armor boys can be chaos too! Especially if your Chaos is Slaneesh.
So my cutods bud runs a group he call jimmy-chain fist squad(all credit to you nathan). He runs the Navy breachers with the rouge trader group. Its super ridicoulous and hard to kill.
Allies are a necessity for IK's, Rogue traders have 4++ 5+++ and you can also used then to lead a voidsmen unit to infiltrate along with a callidus, and redeploy D3 armiger, and yes they're action monkeys but that translate into points. Totally worth it in my opinion
I recently ditched the henchmen from my Templar list. I’m not convinced it was the right choice, but we shall see this weekend. Team event in Bismarck.
Coteaz is cool with asaault Intercessors. Reroll wounds on his 3 damage demonhammer and sometimes gets you extra CP. Throw them into an Impulsor, and it can smite through the fire point and absorb any hazard tests. Again, expensive, 230pts.
I think Subductors work as a decent midfield brawling/tie up unit for Guard, though Bullgryn probably come out similar. If only they had a way to get delivered out there instead of having to march up...
Yes. Where is our Arbites swat van? A big ol' chunky box van, give it a heavy stubber emplacement on the top, maybe a webber or two for crowd control, and bam, we're golden.
Hahaha! We need a better camera and for it to be on a tripod. One day in the future, for our little channel. As for right now, balancing our recorder on a pile of unpainted space marines seems to work, and we are getting better.
Honestly playing a 2K game of just Imperial Agents is an experience. Its like a not amazing infantry heavy guard list with no real anti-tank options or detachment rules. Cause the faction rule is you just gotta have Agents models only to try the silly list (though if you can through a knight in do it). Throwing Subductors to ties thing up with 10 4+ invulnerable saves for 110pts does work okay.
@@hyperspacehobbies The Specific wording they added in the January dataslate update (without announcing it) is " If every model from your army has the Agents of the Imperium Faction keyword, you can ignore the Select Detachment Rules step when mustering your army." It is unclear if you can add a knight, as the knights allies rule is you add it after picking the detachment, which you can ignore with the faction rule, but adding a knight would mean not every model in the army has the keyword. So *shrug*. It is a fun experiment though. Maybe they are the mystery codex and will get some rules support (and at least some Arbites Rhinos to drive around in)
Inquisitor Fyodor Karamazov is a great example of GW’s older, richer references. He’s named after Fyodor Dostoyevsky (who wrote the ‘The Brothers Karamazov’). The author noted for his decidedly grim Russian attitude toward morality and justice.
I have an Inquisitor and retinue for all three ordos, almost all 3rd party models but can't use any after geedubs ruined them. I just want boltguns, is that so hard to have? Not this mix unit nonsense

Thanks for your previous suggestion, and this comment it was a solid Idea, we had a lot of fun with it, and learned a lot in the process.

That was great. Motivation to finally paint up my inquisitorial agents and navy breachers from Kill Team.
Doooooo iiiiiittttttttt!!!
They ARE really cool models.

205! Haha woof! But yes, the FNP helps keep them around

Don't forget Armigers are Battleline.
I've always suspected that Subductors were low-key good to tie down units in close combat. I really need to try it out.
They defiantly can fill a role at doing that for sure, but there points are a bit high I think. and the codex has so many options for that sort of thing.
As a Grey Knights player, I think I'm gonna buy some agents. Thanks Steve
No worries! Test it out first and see if it works for you :)
the scribe of karamazov is named dominique, and infamously smoke sand-paper cigarettes
Yoooooo! Stoked for the HENCHMEN!! Thanks guys!
YEAAAAAA
Great stuff! Have you chaps done similar for the Chaos Demons? Curious what allies could go with Chaos Knights.
Not yet!

Oooh that is beefy the rerolls with her awesome Sustains!!

Very Good note, AAAHHH the knight Armigers. those sneaky boyz.

They do look wildly cool, which is more than enough of a reason to get some haha
And you could always double them as chaos cultists if the paint scheme fits. who says chaos cultists have to be dirty savages', fancy armor boys can be chaos too! Especially if your Chaos is Slaneesh.
@@hyperspacehobbies it just so happens to be Emperor's Children, so that might work incredibly well :D

100% as a knights player they are borderline mandatory for all the reasons.
I recently ditched the henchmen from my Templar list. I’m not convinced it was the right choice, but we shall see this weekend. Team event in Bismarck.
Bismark awesome! well good luck and let us know how you do!

Oh ya he can really crank up the damage with the Assault intercessors, they seem to be the go to for there wound rerolls.
I use the 4 henchmen on home objective. They`re great.Hide, screen and hold objective..
Perfect!
Rouge trader could be used to redeploy Armigers as they are battle line.
Ohhhh thats interesting.
The best imperial agent is a rogue trader because that means your army is rich.
Hahahaha
I think Subductors work as a decent midfield brawling/tie up unit for Guard, though Bullgryn probably come out similar. If only they had a way to get delivered out there instead of having to march up...
Yes. A delivery system is needed for these guys. They are durable for sure. But it's a deathmarch without a sick ride.
Yes. Where is our Arbites swat van? A big ol' chunky box van, give it a heavy stubber emplacement on the top, maybe a webber or two for crowd control, and bam, we're golden.
Oh yeah🎉🎉🎉
*smashes through brick wall with refreshing cool-aid*
Draxus is great with custodian guards
Oh ya I bet. A little added protection and firepower. And with the expensive units she might slot in fairly easy.
With this camera angle, you can sit off center and not get arms cut off!! 😂❤😂
We really can't get this right lol one day... maybe 😂😂😂
Hahaha! We need a better camera and for it to be on a tripod. One day in the future, for our little channel. As for right now, balancing our recorder on a pile of unpainted space marines seems to work, and we are getting better.
It is so much better this way. Trust me. This is like sitting around with friends.

Alright! I was wondering if this was possible and it sounds like it is! Not having transports or any dedicated heavy weapons is a problem.

yeah its just so many little guns and rules and models all mashed together.
