@@jameshoffa7085 Why do you automatically jump to the negative possibilities? Perhaps at 60, reading and researching and learning for hours tends to strain eyes. Perhaps instead of using all caps, I simply use bold so I can proofread before sending, easier, if I've been getting eye strain. Think that might be possible in this great world of possibilities? $7 an hour is low wages here, barely enough to live on in the United States. The cost of living is expensive, and that wage is considered poverty. A single person living on $7 an hour live on the streets, in a homeless shelter if they can find one with a bed available. When I was living on an income that small, I rented a tiny room in a building full of rats and bugs in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in my city.

I was shocked at the wage in the USA as here in England the minimum living wage is £10.42 which is $12.98 per hour, I would have thought the US wage would be higher than here in England.
Yeah na, if you visit the USA youll understand immediately by all the homeless people you see living on the streets and out of their cars. It takes two people to pay for a single bedroom apartment. Companies take advantage of "inflation" and raise their prices every year according to how much inflation goes up. The prices for these apartments never go down even if inflation goes down because the company can just use it as a write off for taxes and even get help from the government because they didnt make as much money as they should have that year.
Another thing about rent hikes is its illegal to raise the rent more than inflation percentage every year. So a company will NEVER decrease their prices because then they wont be able to increase it in the future unless inflation happens that year and they can raise their prices. Its a super corrupt system because these companies never lower their prices and always seek to raise them the citizens can no longer afford it or are forced to pay it because the city doesnt expand housing because of city limits that are put in place for housing development. So either be forced to pay higher prices or be homeless. The choice is yours.
@@holyfire11 Yeah I somewhat am cognisant of this, a few times on TV I have seen whole nehbourhoods that have been abandoned, I guess the local large employer failed which would have had a knock on the local economy and then everyone goes bust, I just finished paying off my mortgage a couple of years ago and was looking forward to having some extra money but then the cost of living crisis swallowed my spare cash up, If I was still paying my mortgage I dont know what I would have done.
Property prices and rents went sky high here a few years ago and continued to rise, our planning is the same! the towns are surrounded by green belt land that they wont allow development on despite the government promising a massive subsidised building scheme for first time buyers, that scheme failed they hardly built any new properties. my friends daughter and her husband live with him as they have been saving for a house deposit for over 12 years but properties now increase each year more than they can save, and a rental property is much more than you would pay to buy the property, crazy times!
in Australia the minimum wage is 23.23 aud which is 12.15 gbp or 15.13 usd

$7.25/hr in America is poverty level income, in America this is not a living wage. The cost of living here is much higher than it is in your country, everything is much more expensive. If you came here you would be equally surprised at how much everything costs. But this is also the min amount (which also changes from state to state) that someone is required to pay no matter the job, no matter the person, most people make more than this. Great video!
