Within 5 seconds of starting the motor the clicking will be gone. The slack in the chains/tensioners is creating the clicking. This will be gone once the tensioners build up pressure.

I think first of all, turn the engine over with the crankshaft not with the camshaft. the timing changes when you turn the camshaft. there is no oil pressure for the chain tensioner as you can see it just pushes it in. probably everything okay the ticking is just because you turn the camshaft over

He is turning the crankshaft...the Gs Have camshaft on the heads. You are confused. Over the cranckshaft there is only the crank of the alternator.

@@Kaysersoza hi, The crankshaft is the smal gear I believe. I know camshaft’s are in the head I meant that de big gear is the distribution of the camshaft chains. Never turn the engine over with that gear.

Please rotate engine in right direction - 1st. Then oil dreinght tensioners does not work properly by design- oil pressure needed. Potential and most probable reason is main chain and/or tensioner slider wear…as tensioner piston is out to much.. some times pushroads in heads can give clacking.

The engine is being rotated in the right direction! It is however being rotated by the oil pump sprocket and not by the crankshaft, which is the smaller sprocket at the top. Tensioners require oil pressure to work, so the clicking is coming from the slack in the chain/tensioner.

Did you double check the timing?

Your turning it the wrong way, chain tensioner is always on the slack side.

No, it is being rotated in the correct direction. It is however being rotated by the oil pump sprocket and not by the crankshaft above.
