I was reminded of two Old Testament parallels to the calling of the disciples. The first was the calling of Moses who had a vocation (shepherd) when God called him to ministry. This is also replayed in the life of David. The second was when Noah gathered the animals into the ark, two-by-two. Andrew and Simon, John and James were gathered two by two to multiply spiritually by spreading the Gospel.
Even better that God gathered the animals. The watery word of the Baptizer, to they watery vocation of fishing with the same word, and the continued labor which is all for the washing away the sin manifesting in the various symptoms and the renewal that begins and ends in Jesus. Behold, a great Epiphany!
Man they hit me hard we want the gift not so much the giver, but the giver is the gift, thank you Jesus being born again Is a gift from our Lord every is a gift whenever walking the path it doesn’t mean it’s not gonna hurt to unwrap in parcipation but it does mean you keep peeling it until one day the gift is here and you didn’t notice, so just keep living for the lord but seriously give yourself grace that all he wants the kids that’s your choice to walk out on them but it’s your responsibility to tell Dave your ideas and why you want to leave just hold yourself accountable in everything you do do not expect anything but only goodness from the lord it will make people upset tho but if you need to focus on your healing with the lord your responsible for that also do not worry the lord is always with them just pray without ceasing
We forget that we are in the time of "already, but not yet". God is here. The light shines. But, some darkness still exists. So, it is up to us to be the light for someone/everyone. The Holy Spirit is sent. The Holy Spirit is at work in the world, already. The second coming has not yet happened.

Young, Lutheran pastors? That's impressive -- haven't seen that in a long time.
