I'm at old School trucker you need to idle that truck up to about 10 8 to 10 and still let it idle and keep the oil pressure at the top of the engine and it will last longer

@@TruckerAK gotta be something unique and personal to the truck. I had a 379 called "Boss Hogg" (it was solid white) from Dukes of Hazard, have one now "Rosco". Two Chevys call Samson and Major Reno. You can relate something from it's past or maybe a nick name from a tv character

I recommend getting a minimizer seat. Heard nothing but great things about them and pretty fair priced. Great video and love these updates so keep em coming. Stay save out their on them slick roads buddy. Can't wait for future truck updates.

The only thing you need to do is that the electrical wires on the right, you need to get the wires hidden
Suggestion: At the home depot - Get that "expandable bundler" and it will look awesome, especially if you can’t but it behind the dash
BUT the TRUCK looks awesome

Trucks looking good. I just put a legacy seat in my mack, very comfortable. Maybe next month I'll swap the lega y to the passenger side and put a minimizer as my driver.
Big money minizer haha them things cost an arm and a leg but I wanna go with bostrom
@@TruckerAK yeah minimizer is kinda high end but its worth it. The legacy seats are half the price, not bad seats but they don't have all the bells and whistles. Bostrom makes good chairs.

You should get a red shift knob.
Be careful having anything heavy unsecured in your cab, if you have to stop really fast or god forbid you are in an accident those heavy things can fly around and hit you in the head. Be safe out there.
The fridge is light but when I put the passenger seat back in it won’t move at all but I drive smooth so it doesn’t move

It's a nice truck. But I didn't notice any style of APU on it.
I was thinking of buying same model and installing a battery Apu and shore power.
Charges up while I drive And just plug it in when I get back home.
Basically to reduce engine wear and tear from idling. As well as lowering fuel expenses.
also I was wondering when you mentioned the motor are those configurations for the Detroit 60?
And if so what type of fuel mileage are you seeing?
Anyhow it looks like a really smooth rebuild.

I really like the fact that this challenge features the Classic XL. 379s, 389s & W900s are nice, but something about this truck stands out. My dream would be to own one in black. Is it easy to still find parts for this truck since it’s no longer in production?
That fld sitting next to you in the click pic of this vid looks like the one a guy has that has a channel I've watched due to his talledega back fenders. Its white with that neon green. Cant remember off top of my head the channel name I think its like fld life or something. Might not have been his but looked like it down to the white paint stripe on the headlights.
I guess what I was saying just need to idle it up instead of letting it sit there and idle it'll bring your oil pressure up

How long can you run the fridge without the batteries dieing when the truck is off?
I never really run the fridge when the truck is off. The fridge get really cold and stays cold until I wake up in the morning as long as it isn’t opened
