Barry makes the finest leather working tools around.
Leathercraft is a very challenging craft. I love the fact the experienced crafters want to share their knowledge. I took classes at the Waco show it was a great experience.

Mr. King has a lot of sample patterns that highlight different ideas for stamping at the shows.

Watched the whole video, paying close attention to each syllable. Noticed that you mentioned several shows but no mention of the two Texas shows that I've bought from Barry at,... Waco and Wichita Falls (about a Grand worth, 2 times each). Wyoming, Montana, Arizona and Colorado was talked about so my question is, is Texas not worthy of mention? Sorry to be so sensitive, but I've noticed that Texas based leather folks seem to be held in lower esteem amongst the suppliers, manufacturers, trainers, artists and makers that we can only hope to equal some day.

Waco and Wichita Falls are amazing shows and we certainly didn't mean to leave those out. This was recorded early in the year and I think we just weren't thinking that far ahead to the shows that come later in the year. We love connecting with our friends in Texas. Some of the most talented leather craftsman are found in your great state and we look forward to being in Wichita Falls and Waco every year.
I don't know how to address your second comment but appreciate you bringing it up here.

Another quick note, our monthly magazine features esteemed Texas craftsmen that we rave over. If you contact Savannah savannah@burns1876.com , she'd like to set you up with a complimentary 3 month subscription if you are interested. Thanks again for your comments.

@@connectwithillume Thanks for the offer, but no. I know I was just being overly sensitive and don't want to take advantage of you or your generosity. We Texans are often rightly accused of being braggadocious in the first place, so it takes us by surprise when not mentioned in yet another important video. We continually hear all about the history, people and styles from the Northwest but would like the leatherwork contributions emanating from Texas to be highlighted a little more (if you agree). Love your efforts for all of us, thank you!
