- Mardi Himal trek is a newly open trekking route in Nepal and has become the most popular trekking destination for domestic trekkers. Mardi Himal is one of the safe and best winter trekking in Nepal for all. But among the foreign trekkers, the Mardi Himal trek is not much popular as the Annapurna base camp or Everest base camp, foreign trekkers should consider the Mardi Himal trek because of its beauty and suitability for those who have less experience of trekking in the Himalayas, and can be completed in less than a weeks’ time. Mardi himal is only 5 days hiking and one of the short and easiest trek in Nepal but it offers amazing views of Himalayas, valleys and forest . As it short trek it's very cheap compare to EBC.
Hi Sali, thanks so much for the beautiful record. I am from Hong Kong and would like to go to Nepal for solo trekking, do u think it's necessary to have a porter for this Mardi Himal trek? Do you book the tea house in advance? Would it be not snowing in late March? Thanks a lot for answering.
It is not mandatory to have a guide porter. No need to book teahouse in advance, there are plenty of teahouses. There is chance of snowfall in march.

There is high chance of snowfall
They have to come back again to walk with you to EBC trek in warmer weather with less snow.
They did Annapurna and Everest base camp with us already, this was third trip now.

No, Dec, May be no snowfall at all.

No rain, perfect weather.
We are planning to go this sunday there.. what will be the conditions and what things we should not miss carrying with us
Started snowfall, temperature will drop. Make sure got enough warm gear, might be usefull carrying crampon, if more snowfall will be slippery.
