Welcome to my tiny little home on wheels! Living with less and experiencing more! Its only my second video so I promise if you stick around they'll get better!
I just subbed, so now I can follow your journey into van life. I'm older (late 50's) and decided that it's time to free myself from many of the burdens that keep me from the adventures I hope to pursue. Shopping for a van now, and hope to get started soon. I will also post on my new channel once I get started. Also, thank you for your service.
Me too - late 50’s - YIKES! 🤗 I just got my VAN 4 days ago. A ‘90 Chev. G20 shorty. Looks similar to yours Geoff. I really like the woodwork you did! I’m totally at the beginning stage- first up, new tires and ripping carpet etc OUT! Blessings! Stay Lost! ❤️ that!
US Army vet and G’mother here. Thank you for your service, Son...(I was born at Camp Pendleton) Good for you , jumpin’ in and and perfecting as you go. I need a new hip, then I’ll be looking for a cool , old school cargo van. It’s something to look forward to in my 63rd year. God bless and keep you safe 🇺🇸♥️
Wow. How cool. My dream is to travel. I've watched thousands of van conversion vids. I finally just got my van. I can't stand in it,but I don't care. What drew me to your vid,is the simplicity of your build! That's what I need! Please make more vids! Your very helpful!
1. (I know you probably hate this, but I'm former Army Reserve and a NavyMomma) thank you for signing the blank check and defending our country 2. I'm in the "dreaming" stage of van life...headed to the reality stage (bought a freaking minivan - swore I'd never own one, but vanlife dream changed that) now, to figure out my next steps in life (looking at changing careers too) 3. Thanks for the videos. Keep them coming please. Appreciate your realistic down to earth approach (no sugar coating) . Peace, love and rocknroll Gin
I want to say thank you for your service as a member of the military. I wish that after this Covid-19 is over, people would actually start treating the military as the true first responders they are. I am truly grateful for those who are in the healthcare field, but there are so many not recieving the gratitude they deserve. Great build!
Thank you Marine! For your yeti cooler, go and purchase the ice blankets to freeze and invest in a jackery. Freeze the ice blanket at work and put it in your cooler when you get off.:-)
Great aditude, and also serving our country! I dig the build,I'm 69 yrs. Old and always had a van or camper.I drive a Ford van,did the same first and ripped all 5 seats (8 passenger ).I built a bench that's hinged, single sleeper,or fold over and the bed goes all the way across in the back. Will be moveing bed behind the drivers seat, open like in back.I want to be able to eat and look out the side doors, and build cooking area like yours, but make it Accessible to cook in or outside. Thanks for some cool Ideas ! We used to party every year with Marines at La Jolla reservation camp grounds, great place ! I'm gonna keep up on your youtube video's.
Dude you got the greatest attitude about van life explaining how to take your time and enjoy your life. One vet to another thank you so much for your service. New subscriber
That is all one person needs. Your van is a little bigger than mine. I live in a Chevy Astro van am 65 years old and 6 ft 3 ..I am very comfortable in it and extremely happy.
Thanks man I'm 60 plus years old an I'm starting van life because money cant a Ford my house no more I'm now disable but I'm cool with it an going to travel everywhere me my dog an my van /home lol peaceout have a good day
I am working on my mini camper on my 02 Town and Country and it's a never ending job, moving stuff all around and then you change your mind again. Will try to keep things simple. This comment is for the other video that comments are disabled.
I just came across this video and am now a follower. Can't wait to see what adventures you go on. All that matters is that this tiny on wheels fits all your needs. Simple and functional, yet cozy and sustainable. All that matters is your happiness and sense of freedom while living the nomadic lifestyle. Live for the moment. Love all your new encounters. Laugh during the trying times. That is what makes life worth living. Its what makes life beautiful. Thank You for sharing your lil home with us.
I love how simple your van is. I watched your other video about keeping it simple when building and not having to get all the fancy stuff. And you are so right. I bought a Ford Econoline and it is getting a basic build by someone. You were so right about the cost. When you think your done, there's always one more thing to add, so keeping it simple is absolutely the best. I love your van outside and in. You are really keeping it real and that;s what makes your videos real. Don't worry about camera etc. So many started out that way and many still just use their own phone. Stay strong, keep the videos coming and THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!
FIRST....THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. MULTI GENERATIONS OF MY FAMILY HAVE SERVED IN THE NAVY, ARMY, & AIR FORCE. I HAVE 4 GRANDSONS AND 2 GREAT GRANDSONS. YOUR VAN BUILD LOOKS GREAT AND I HAVE WATCHED SO MANY ON YOU TUBE THAT MY EYES ARE STARTING TO CROSS AND QUEENIE MY SERVICE DOG GIVES ME THE LOOK THAT SEZ "REALLY! ANOTHER VAN BUILD?" I'M WORKING ON A 1998 SAFARI CONVERSION VAN THAT WILL TOW MY 2004 ALINER POP UP TRAILER. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED IN VAN LIFE TO LEARN ALL THEY CAN AND THEN BUILD WHAT SUITS THEM AND THEIR NEEDS. I STARTED 3 YEARS AGO AND DUE TO HEALTH ISSUES PUT MY PLANS ON HOLD. HOWEVER I'M UP AND AT 'EM NOW. MOVING SLOWLY AND WITH THE HELP OF FRIENDS I HOPE TO BE ON THE ROAD IN THE FALL. I'VE FOUND THAT MOST VAN DWELLERS AND OTHERS LIVING A NOMADIC LIFESTYLE OR THAT ARE INTERESTED IN THEM ARE MOSTLY KIND, FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO OFFER THEIR EXPERIENCES AND HELP TO OTHERS. HEY I'M OLDER THAN DIRT TOO! WHEN IT'S ALL SAID AND DONE AGE IS JUST A BUNCH OF NUMBERS WRITTEN TOGETHER WITH NO SPACES IN BETWEEN THEM. SEMPER FI
NICE CONVERSION PERSONAL SPACE SETUP for YOU. GREAT JOB !! I like your Philosophy about Van Life being Centered Not worrying about Keeping Up with the Joneses. THANK YOU for YOUR SERVICE 👍😷
Been following you since tik tok. Super happy you decided to start TH-cam. Thanks for your service and everything you do. Can’t wait to see what content you are going to be putting out! Stay safe brother🤙🏻
Thank you for your service brother! I'm a Army vet and love it when I see other vets living and loving the van life. Stay safe and keep up the great videos
Dig your make it as you need it ethos, keeps the place realistic. Plus you can actually make stuff so it works out well. After doing a full sized skoolie and living out of an E-150 for a few months I am in the process of building it out, knowing what I really need. Looks god.
Very tastefull built. I liked the shelves in a box, have never seen this before. Nice guy, just keep publishing your videos. And start with Merchandising ...
Love your van! I also really appreciated your Vanlife For Beginner's vid because I'm literally going thru the beginning stages and trying to make it perfect before I take off. Really, I'm just scared to take the plunge but your advice really helped put things in perspective. Thanks!
First I gotta say, Thanks for your service. I think your van is way cool, I also have a Dodge B1500 SWB like yours, I don't have any problem with it at all. A Dodge B1500 SWB has a pretty tight turning radius, and can handle back country roads good. ~Bandana Nomad~
I liked the video.. now teach me how to do those windows, lol.. Those are awesome!! Great minimalist setup.. You have everything you need and it looks homey and comfy!! Nice job!! Love the wood look, I did all wood with my van, too.
Dude, I know exactly where you are parked, I used to live in Chula Vista when I was a young kid, I still vacation in SD. Ya, you dont need a heater, you might get a little warm for those 2 weeks during the summer but there is always the beach. Cool, you got a sub .
Your van is gorgeous, looks very organized and cozy! I’m on my 3rd year of living nomadic living in a van now. I like how simple and genuine you are. More videos please!
First, thank you for your service, sir! Second, thank you for these videos. I appreciate the first one, keep it simple, and I believe you are so right that if it’s not for you, someone else is looking for that van! I just moved to Pacific northwest, so I see the vans on the highway every time I drive. Stay safe!
Geoff! So love the van! I even like the idea of Van Life! I saw your first video, of being a weekender. We are an older couple 60/70. We have been exploring the vans / campers. We too feel life is way to short, so glad your just doing it. You have inspired us to try and be weekend worriers!!! Thank you!
I LOVE your windows! Please show us how to do it! Thank you for your service. I am “building” my 2004 Toyota pre-runner. I’d love a van for the space, but the truck got paid off this year and I can take almost any dirt road I want. ☺️ I love your windows! Or, did I say that already?!
Wish I would of started while I was still serving, proud of your video and you editing skills is a lot better than mine. I’m currently working on mine van (NV200). Keep it up!!!!
Few questions. 1. How much are you saving? Prob a shit ton! 2. What does your CO think? 3. You have a PO Box? I'm assuming so but you know what they say about assuming.
Like the open floor and bed when ya need it, don't think would work for me cause the crap back but cool anyway. I boondocked socal coast for a month in May and June years ago. Windows open with can going still got uncomfortable by 9:30-10am. With minivan camper and diy truck camper experience decided van like yours was the ticket so got extended ram van 2500. $ been rough so haven't got around to it but plan on diy high roof, some welded ss brackets for window AC in read door window running off generator probably in lock box on bitch carrier. If anyone has better idea on generator location or something speak up.

There's no words for how cool that van is 🙌 wish I was nearby to see it myself, it looks very freeing for the soul and cozy
Looks like a great build. And I really love the calm advice in your first video. Baby steps. Thank you for your service.
That high pitched “You know...Panda sounds pretty...” then the “treat yo self shut up” got me! Subscribed!😁
