In my years on earth I have witnessed "professional truck drivers" losing in driving a truck as a professional. Some of them will pick a lane left of the correct lane they should be in to avoid the on and off ramp traffic rather than changing lanes as they need to and use the right hand lane. Then, I see some of them over two lanes from the right most lane and just there by themself putting along, I also have seen some of them in the fast left lanes now and then ! Many of them change lanes on the freeways regardless if traffic is really close to them, they just figure the vehicles will slow down or move over for them. Then, I see many more solo trucker accidents, most of them are roll overs, taking an off ramp or on ramp too fast. This is common these days, guaranteed so its my guess that the trucking schools who are teaching these drivers do not train them well enough and do not educate them about how loads will effect handling of a truck and trailer. I'm in a major city and this is the norm ! The state DMV should investigate or send "investigators" to sample how some of the truck driving schools are doing. Plant a few investigators who can be trusted in these schools and see just what they teach, what they don't teach and the quality of their exams and driving testing. My guess the training and educational or schools have relaxed way too much in exchange for a fast payment toward a class 1 truck license. Not everyone is good at it and these schools should prevent those who aren't from passing.
Isn't that just a travesty? 50+ years ago, Dad worked at Saginaw Steering Gear Division, now defunct. He and mom were raising me and my sister, the last of 5 kids on HIS WAGE ALONE. He would go to the "executive board", where various GM models that were driven a few thousand miles by upper management would be posted for sale to the employees. A couple of vehicles I recall were a '68 Pontiac Bonneville and a '71 Olds 98 coupe with a 455 Rocket. Saved like 3 grand on basically a new car. Back then, that was HUGE money. My brothers... Dad walked them in, spoke to the boss and got them hired, did the same.
In 1969, you could graduate high school and get a union job the next day, at GM paying $6 an hour. That's $51 an hour in 2024 money. That's what "free trade" has gotten you.
@@skymningforelsket1302 No. That's what Inflation got you. Your government stole those wages from you by invisibly raising all the prices around you and told you it was "greedy corporations".
Not sure if you will see this but there is a new product out called "Thermoil". It's supposed to de-sulfate lead/acid batteries. Is it any good? It looks like it is more for deep cycle batteries. If you see this, will it actually work?
Stellantis have announced this week in Europe they are closing 1 of the vauxhall plants in England. In Europe as well as the electric 500 theirs also several electric Abarth 500s . They do look great compared to the normal electric 500.

Scotty: NEWS: Two unnamed Nissan executives said the company has "12 to 14 months to survive." Nissan cut more than 9,000 jobs earlier this month, while simultaneously slashing production by nearly 20%. Nissan's operating profit dropped 85% in Q3.
Who cares. Nissans are boofer-mobiles anyway. Nissan buyers are stupid people and think it's the same as a Toyota but at a lower price. Like the morons who buy Hyundais and think it's an "asian car, like a Toyota" LOL
Gladiator- isn’t it a heavy loud clunky pretending to be a truck. Many buy them on the wealthy side of town, the big lakefront people. No thanks. Sad for USA jobs.

I hope canoo goes belly up and the governor of Oklahoma will have to explain to me tax payers what happened to the millions of dollars he spent to get them to build in Oklahoma,
I agree as well. It's your money, that you earned, to spend how you want. You want an EV, fine. You want ICE, fine. You want roller skates, also fine. But let people choose, the more you try to push or force someone to do something, they more they push back.
@@Marty-j9e I read that from many comments. I'm in California; the part of California that is the Mecca of EV's. I have no interest in EV's. I love my V8's. But where is this "We are being forced to get EV's" nonsense coming from?! This statement is comical. Noone is being forced.
Scotty really hates EVs and the government incentives to encourage sales.....Just a few things to think about: EVs are more efficient, No wasted energy producing excess heat. Also government incentives in transportation go way back. Taxpayer money encouraged railroads, air travel infrastructure, US and Interstate highways. Scotty has lots of good info but on EVs maybe not so good 🐴
Don't worry about those Russians scotty, they're just a service economy...... They just split the atom in terms of technological break throughs with their new missiles; despite making poor consumer cars. That, on a military budget 10 times smaller than ours
So a European led company that focuses on the American market announced layoffs in America. What do US companies in Europe do in similar circumstances?

the king of subsidies is the fossil fuel industry!!! tax all forms of pollution and then we will have a fair society where the cleaner sollutions can thrive.
I stand firm in my faith, trusting God's plan. Grateful for blessings, I thank Him for prosperity. My family's happiness is restored, and retirement brings unexpected abundance, $110k monthly returns, a life transforming miracle after past struggles.
Does anyone remember buying a car and saying, "Man, this car is cheap", said no person ever. Guess what, they will be "expensive" next year, and the year after that, and the year after that, get over it. Anyone with a decent education can run simple inflation calculations and figure out that the statement that cars are expensive is not true (and difference in cost varies by make, model, features, safety over the years).
There was a time that the average new car loan term was for 24 months. Then 36 months became the norm. Now, the average car loan term is for 68 months. Does this put things into better perspective for you?
@@tommyhawks856 Through a quick Google search, you will find a Washington Post article from 1984, people complaining about car prices and the "need" for a 7 year loan....1984. You could do a three year loan for a $500 couch. It doesn't mean the $500 couch is expensive. It just means you shouldn't be buying a $500 couch.
@@tommyhawks856 A quick search will find an article from 1986; people complaining about high car prices. So "high" that they wanted 72 month car loans! So yeah, lengthy loan terms is hella old news...40 years at least .....Not to mention, just because someone is dumb enough to sign up for a 72 month car loan, doesn't mean the item purchased is expensive...it just means the person shouldn't be buying it. (Unless it's a 0-1 percent loan).
I think EVs have their place but are NOT shoved down Americans' throats. As I get older, now 65, I see a self-driving vehicle as valuable. If my vision were to go bad or for some other reason I could not drive, jumping in my self-driving car and saying " To Walmart James" would give me freedom. I live in rural PA and don't have access to a Taxi or wait for an UBER, because of my POOP schedule, so a self-driving auto might be great.🤣
Now with Mr trump enforcing tariffs on Mexican and Canadian products will Americans pay out extra 25 percent more for vehicles being imported to the American public
@@DarkForce2024You're just plain wrong. Wages in Canada are typically higher than in the US. Health care there is universal. If American companies want to do business in Canada, Mexico, Europe, then they need to participate in "all" aspects. Mexico and Canada can just as easily buy European or Japanese or Korean, just like the rest of the world actually does. American auto companies are now pretty much #1 in America only. You don't solve that problem with import restrictions because you won't find support in other markets. Give your head a shake.
Amongst the tree huggers and environmental kooks there is a small market for EVs. A bunch of auto makers competing over that small market is no bueno, but just one company supplying that demand might do alright. My guess is Musk is angling for Tesla to be that one company.
People don’t like electric cars but it’s not like there is an abundance of quality with regular cars. If they want people to be anti electric car then make better gas cars.
There are great gas cars that only take 5 minutes to fill up. Plus you dont have to worry about the battery replacement that cost more than half the price of the car.yea and dont forget the charger issues
Scotty is such a luddite. A hundred and twenty years ago I could see Scotty standing outside his blacksmith shop ranting and waving his arms around saying cars were stupid and the horse was more reliable and are here to stay.

My guess the training and educational or schools have relaxed way too much in exchange for a fast payment toward a class 1 truck license. Not everyone is good at it and these schools should prevent those who aren't from passing.
I'm thinking the people who assemble the Jeeps can't afford to buy the cars they make.

I agree as well. It's your money, that you earned, to spend how you want. You want an EV, fine. You want ICE, fine. You want roller skates, also fine. But let people choose, the more you try to push or force someone to do something, they more they push back.

Your brother... okay.
There expensive if you can't afford them?
I would never buy a electric car or a 66,000 car ,
What's a 66,000 car?
When Trump lowers the EPA requirements, car manufacturers will be able to sell cheap reliable cars again.

When have auto manufacturers ever passed on savings to the consumer? Just name one time that it ever happened.
NO MORE EV MANDATES ...MAGA 2025
I think EVs have their place but are NOT shoved down Americans' throats. As I get older, now 65, I see a self-driving vehicle as valuable. If my vision were to go bad or for some other reason I could not drive, jumping in my self-driving car and saying " To Walmart James" would give me freedom. I live in rural PA and don't have access to a Taxi or wait for an UBER, because of my POOP schedule, so a self-driving auto might be great.🤣
How's your throat?
How are EVs being forced down your throat? Trying being honest when you answer that question.
Now with Mr trump enforcing tariffs on Mexican and Canadian products will Americans pay out extra 25 percent more for vehicles being imported to the American public
Only if its imported so bring the factories back from mexico and canada. Easy.
@@ThinkeroutsidetheboxYes that's the idea!!
@@jj-yj6ot To bad because he is your president.
Well Mexico already caved in the last hour and said the border will be secured, no fear mongering over a tariff now.
They have those WAYMOs all over LA. They get confused while driving in LA.
No, they do not.
I wouldn't accept a EV anything, car, truck, mower, golf cart and so on and so forth if you tried to give me one!
Amongst the tree huggers and environmental kooks there is a small market for EVs. A bunch of auto makers competing over that small market is no bueno, but just one company supplying that demand might do alright. My guess is Musk is angling for Tesla to be that one company.
