Please, Do not ignore my question: How to use limit switch, arduino and relay with high current 12V DC motor? I want to use 12v dc wiper motor to power a heavy duty DIY linear actuator. The actuator move forward and reverse and must stop at a precise posistion. I can control the motor manually with 6 pin (forward/reverse/stop) button, but it will not stop in the wanted position. I cannot use limit switches directly to stop the motor because the motor is full loaded and run with more than 10amp to 15amp which will burn the micro limit switches. The question is: I want to use the same thing in this video but with adding limit switches and using simple 6 pin (forward/reverse/stop) button without any remote control, I mean I will click manually on the go left button, the actuator will move left and will stop automaticaly when reaching the left limit switch, I will also click manually on go right button, the actuator will move right and stop when reaching the ight limit switch. I am tottaly a beginner, but I think that the motor will be powered with 12v/20amp power supply, and the limit switches will take current from the arduino so they will not be damaged. (Please correct me if I am wrong). Please, let me knwo if that is possible, if so, how to do it. I will be glad if explain that to me and give a diagram or a video if you please. Thank you very much.

The pedal in one direction also works fine. And the Problem is that when you press the pedal so that the motor spins in the opposite direction (reverse), there is a short circuit in the relay area and even one relay has already burned out. is there a way to add in limit switches on each direction of rotation? For example you press "A" and the motor runs CW until a limit switch is hit the system shuts off ("A" and CW is dead) then only "B" can be pressed which runs the motor CWW until a limit switch is pressed killing that direction and thus pressing "A" starts the cycle over again. Basically opening and closing a door on a gear track.

but why would you use an RF relay board if you want to control it with an arduino? how would you even control this RF board with an arduino, wouldn't you need to use another type ot board with wired controls and not RF remote for arduino?
You're right. However, if the users insist to activate the relays using Arduino, they may use the relay module instead of the RF relay board. This tutorial demonstrates not only how to operate the RF relay board, but how to do motor direction control using relays as well.

Use different power supply maybe? Like use 6V battery for the motor and 12v battery for the relay module. Otherwise you can opt to use the regulator if you prefer to use a single 12v battery.

Hi, sorry for late response. To do that, you probably can use either one these options:First, use an Arduino to act as a timer. The RF relay could be replaced with a 2-ch relay module, which can be connected directly to the Arduino through jumper cables. Programming wise, you may have to use simple delay function or RTC module to implement the precise timing routine.Second, use ready made programmable timer as shown here: www.timer-switch.com/time-switch-timer-switch or here: www.amazon.com/2013newestseller-Multifunction-Self-lock-Module-Automation/dp/B00J0SMB3C. Please note that these kind of modules do not need any programming job as they are configurable through their buttons. +kembara kemboja Wsalam. Boleh aje sebab 5v to voltan pada coil manakala 12v voltan pada contact/sesentuh. Andaikata nak kawal ac 240v guna relay 5v pun takde masalah.

Acap Kembar Sama aje, fokus pada 2 relay aje, dan abaikan 2 relay lagi. Dapat lah connection untuk satu motor. Pastu untuk motor kedua, fokus pada 2 relay lagi. So kiranya ada 2 set litar lah (2 relay untuk motor A dan 2 relay lagi untuk motor B).

Programming wise, you may have to use simple delay function or RTC module to implement the precise timing routine.Second, use ready made programmable timer as shown here: www.timer-switch.com/time-switch-timer-switch or here: www.amazon.com/2013newestseller-Multifunction-Self-lock-Module-Automation/dp/B00J0SMB3C. Please note that these kind of modules do not need any programming job as they are configurable through their buttons. Sekiranya pakai 2 motor camne yek ? Adakah setiap komponen perlukn dua jgak ?
Acap Kembar Tengok lah nak kawal camna motor tu. Kalau nak dia hidup serentak, boleh lah pakai satu set je komponen. Maksudnya bila kita tekan butang A, dua2 motor akan jalan serentak, tapi arah tak semestinya sama lah. Satu motor pusing kanan, satu lagi pusing kiri, ataupun sama2 pusing kanan atau kiri. Bila butang B ditekan, arah pun bertukar.
Kalau nak setiap motor tu dikawal berlainan, kena guna 2 set komponen lah. Cumanya ada je RF Relay Module yg support sampai 4 channel mcm dlm Lazada ni: www.lazada.com.my/12v-4ch-channel-relay-rf-wireless-remote-control-switch-2-transmitterreceiver-135521763.html. So guna satu remote je tapi boleh kawal 2 motor. Butang A dan B adalah utk motor 1 dan butang C dan D adalah utk motor 2. Wiring sama je mcm dlm video di atas, bezanya relay A dan B kita sambung ke motor 1 dan relay C dan D kita sambung ke motor 2. Thanks.

Acap Kembar Sama aje, fokus pada 2 relay aje, dan abaikan 2 relay lagi. Dapat lah connection untuk satu motor. Pastu untuk motor kedua, fokus pada 2 relay lagi. So kiranya ada 2 set litar lah (2 relay untuk motor A dan 2 relay lagi untuk motor B).
