What is the yellow 12V COM? and where do you connect common ground from? Im trying toget this to work and im really confused

The yellow was the Power source 12v for the light.
The green was the ground or - basically.

When you put the positive in the first slot i realized my mistake lol the unit i bought has little instructions and only said to put negative there
