Cannot get blue key - My Little Universe (details in description) Wadirum Acorn Cave, MLU Game iOS

I completed the acorn cave & went back to walk through it several times but I’m still not able to retrieve the blue key. As you can see, it’s stuck on top of the acorn.
Normally, after you get the blue key the acorn will drop. For me, I went to get the blue key, the acorn dropped and the blue key was back on top of the giant acorn and there’s absolutely no way to get it.
I contacted the support email for MLU & just received a response today. They responded pretty quickly (about 2 days). This is what they said in the email:
“Thank you for reaching out! We appreciate you contacting us.
We are sorry that you have this issue!
We are currently working to release the next update.
Starting with update 1.15.0 this issue should be resolved.
Also cloud saves are implemented from 1.15.0 so a new update should release fully possibly mis next week. Do not delete game or you will lose progress without cloud save.

So hopefully this will be resolved by next week. If not, idk what else to do. Starting the entire game over would be so frustrating.
