Preach bro. 5'6" here and it's been a quiet inconvenience to not only have not just dress pants but every type of pants I've owned after HS hemmed and /or tailored. From sweat pants to dress pants and every kind of pants in between. Yes, there are a few brands that market to short kings but I'm short but built like a man not a 13 yo boy. At 11-20% BF, 170 -200 lbs I have thicc quads and a 46" chest and 17" biceps. I tried Peter Manning NYC. Loved the quality but had to send everything back . Those clothes were trying to choke the life out of me and cut off all blood circulation 😅 Lululemon is greatly overpriced for polyester clothing but they nailed the fit even for the short guys! If a brand nails the fit and doesn't want 1st and lasts months rent then I'm certainly interested.😂
Damn 170-200 is a big range! What are your go-to brands? Or still tailoring everything?
It feels weird to get old navy stuff and then tailor it, but nowadays that life is starting to call to me 🫠
@@jonlaidonlie Yeah my weight fluctuates I graduated HS at 5'6" 115 lbs. Enlisted in the military and started lifting weights to deal w/ stress. Who knew that being short made benching and squat muscles grow like pouring water on a dry sponge?😅. Anyway, I'm always experimenting w/ brands. I find that many do 1- 4 things well and the rest is a pass. For casual wear Uniqlo, Everlane, Orvis, & Brooks Brothers, and Huckberry I suppose have been my go to for casual wear. If I plan on wearing anything outside of weekend wear, I 1st have have alterations done at the store / online or I visit either the seamstress at the dry cleaners or I see George, the tailor that take my suits to. Otherwise, I'll simply roll up my sleeve, cuff a casual jacket but all pants must be hemmed and leg openings adjusted slightly. That's nonnegotiable.
@@jonlaidonlie I know. You don't want to spend for tailoring for everything you own especially bargain or fast fashion brands but you also don't always want to look sloppy when you leave the house or go somewhere nice. If I could I'd live on a tropical island and wear boxy, breezy linen beach wear and yoga outfits every day.😅
Great review. I’m 5’7 as well and these are my go to golf pants now. They’re perfect for short kings 👑.
Aye, short kings, I might have to steal that. 😬🤔😅
Im about your height as well did you get the Short or Regular fit?
@@R3cklessExo short fit
@@R3cklessExo short!
@@jonlaidonlie Awesome!! gonna order me a couple pairs, what do you think about the blade collar polos?
As you mentioned the Primo being more of a windbreaker type of would you say that the it does swish when you wear them?
There is a faint swish. With that said, I've never noticed before you asking (I had to put the pants and try it) and it's a very faint swish!
I was thinking of buying a pair. What's your height by the way? I'm 5'7, it's hard finding pants that are the right length.
5'6" and 3/4". Definitely worth trying!
How would you rate these compared to the Peter Manning joggers you reviewed the other day?
Oof, they are different. This one is more of a "pant", in a sense you would wear it with a belt and tucked in shirt (i.e. golf course, biz casual). The PM joggers are more of a jogger, better for lounging, running errands, working out, WFH. Hope that helps!
Makes perfect sense. I've been looking for a shorter jogger in a thicker "pant" like style fabric. ie one that doesn't specifically look like just for the gym @@jonlaidonlie
This sounds like it might be the one!
Did you order the extra short or short?
I went for short since they didn't have extra short when I ordered. My next pair will definitely be extra short!
is the lens dirty or is it just blurry?
Probably a bit of both!
How true is the waist size? Did u find
It's slightly slim so I recommend sizing up if between sizes!
