OMG ur a savior this would have taken hours without your help! Had all my co workers trying to figure it out and I just flip out the old TH-cam! Thanks man.
Best freaking tutorial ever! I often use my husband's power tools when he's away but usually I have to call him to explain how to start the blower or pressure washer and of course without them being directly in front of him something is usually lost in translation so I become pissed at him for not leaving me written directions or the manual. Now after viewing this video I feel confident I can do it all on my own. Thank you so much. Liked, subscribed and going to save for future use.
Mr.Hard water your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. I have made all the hose connections and then I pressed on the gun trigger but no air comes out and no steady stream of water even after holding down the trigger for two minutes. My second problem is that the throttle control lever won't move to the right or the left. It seems to be stuck?? I see you doing it so easily. Please explain to me what to do. Thank you so much.
Great video! Need help? I have the same Dewalt pw. What is the yellow wire coming out the motor To the on/off called? That wire was cut and went inside the motor and cannot be retrieved How do I go about replacing that yellow wire that went back in the motor?
The video helped me get over the hump in terms of getting the pressure washer started. For some reason it will not build up any pressure when I squeeze the trigger just a small amount of water sprays out. Very light pressure If close to not at all. Does anyone know how to get this machine to build up pressure so it will actually pressure
I think thats normal. Maybe his hose has an insane amount of pressure coong out. If it operates normally once started and it cleans well then youre fine
Do you turn the water off from the water souce before you start it? That's what the manual said but i didn't see you do that. It said just turn the water source on to get the air out of the hose then turn it off
Can ya tell me what's wrong when it barely starts running and then when I move the choke over to the " run" position it dies? It won't stay running... I've pulled it about 50xs now and it will barely start, barely turn over, and it'll run like it's on life support but if I try to move the lever over to the hare, or move the choke lever over to the run position it dies???
Your trigger gun has a flat spray head at the tip of the lance, is this what you call a coil gun. and at 3800 psi: what kind of rotary attachment would you use (if at all): wide or narrow.
Is there anything I need to do particularly for a first time start on a new pressure washer. I bought a new one same model I got one out of box changed red oil plug for shipping to yellow. filled gas. connected everything turned water on and ra for about a minute purging water with unit off. then turned chock and she cranked right up. but as soon as I pulled the trigger it had no pressure and made a horrible noise in the triple A pump if I depressed it stopped and engine sounded fine. I never have heard this in my seven years of using dealt pressure washer with changing oil on both pumps and engines for maintenance. so I have experience, did I miss something during the initial start up? it was a screeching sound that did not sound good at all. ive returned for a new one just filled with oil in motor out of box and gased up but now waiting reading the manual again to see if I missed something. thanks for any help anyone I truly appreciate it. mine was stolen this week out of my truck cut lock and lifted over tailgate. its been a heck of a week to say the least.
Allow me to vent for a second. These machines run between $600-$800 and it takes an act of god to start them. I first purchased the 3700 psi model from Simpson and no luck. I even took it back to Lowe’s and they couldn’t get it going. Went to Home Depot next and got the Dewalt 3600 psi and followed the instructions to the T, still nothing. Holding the trigger with the water running and trying to pull the rope at the same time is an art. Still, no start. I had a $100 mower that starts faster. Just saying
Starting a pressure washer needless to say , requires a little tenacity. I learned a long time ago to warm them up for 20-30 seconds with everything hooked up, but very low water pressure on at first. After a 30 sec warm up time then crank more water on slowly through the machine . If you have to turn it off for any reason , when turning it back on release the water pressure from the gun with an attachment still on there. If there’s no attachment you risk blowing out the rubber O ring on the gun . Sometimes you start it on choke, then a second later try not on choke, Half throttle usually until fully started . If having trouble starting after a long storage try starting fluid in the carb , then run Star-Tron in the fuel to break down the Ethanol from crappy gas or just old gas . Definitely put in new gas if left stored as well . A new spark plug every so often never hurts either . Good luck 🍀👍
Excellent step by step description on how to start the Dewalt power washer. Thank you!
Thanks for this video. Saved me a bunch of trouble. I didn't know I had to release pressure on the wand. That thing kicked my ass.

Absolutely fantastic video. Thank you for making it! This is exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you sir, I almost return my dewalt pressure washer because I can’t not start the engine
My machine is Keep dipping the gas from around not sure what can you quickly suggest?
Thanks
I’ve never started mine…..do I need to add any fluids besides oil and gas?

Sure, what’s wrong is it’s not staying running. I’d recommend seeking how to fix
Great vid !!! Thanks
Worked. Thanks!
None of these instructions work on my Dewalt 3400 psi pressure washer. I have done everything exactly as explained.
Still cant get mine to start, theres no pressure building up in the wand?
Do you reccomend the Dewalt 4400 psi model?
Perfect, Thank You

Literally needed this step by step in detail video !!
