Good message to women in similar situations. Don't expect an abuser to change. They never change. Best thing to do is to leave.

And to have some sort of plan on how to do it. Like even just having bus or taxi fare to the nearest shelter that deals with abuse.

Thing is, too many women don't think they are being abused by their partner. In a great number of those cases, one or both of the woman's parents and or guardians are the first ones to abuse her. Sometimes the woman's sibling(s) join in the abuse of the woman in question.

And until I moved out of the metro that I lived in for the majority of my life. I also kept a look out to make sure he wasn't near me. He had admitted to me a few months before I shined up my spine and kicked his rump out and turned him over to the Feds. That he considered me nothing more than his property. This a great clip about how women are being abused by there partners. And so very true most women stay in these situations due to fear , fear of many things not just of the partner, but many many times once in this situation the abusers have gained all control of every aspect of these women's lives, they many times may have little to no family support, no access to money because the abuser has control of all financial matters, the woman usually are so alienated that they no longer have friends because the partner controls who they can talk to and who they can see including family and friends so the woman that is being abused truly feels completely alone and has nowhere to turn so short films like these are so so very important keep up the good work keep spreading the word so that women and at times men too nobody should have to live life in an abusive relationship

    • @tonya8652
      @tonya8652 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Jyothi Harshita I'm so sorry that your in a situation like this, but please don't give up hope that this is your only future, because it's not. Getting away on your own is hard I'm not going to lie to you, but dear if there is one thing I have learned in my own life living in abusive relationship's yes more than one ( I had a way of somehow picking the worst of the worst) and each time they got worse or I got weaker and tired idk I choose not to dwell on that. But I can tell you these men underestimated my will and my determination and my love for my children these type of men always do because they think there so smart and think they covered all there base's. But I promise you when you finally finally have had more than you can stand you will find a way it's hard it take precision planning step by step day by day it can be exhausting but you can make it out you have to be ready to make some of the hardest decisions of your life when you can do that you'll get out safely there are many places now that women can turn to they are women's shelters they're not that bad there's private organizations you just have to start digging around asking when you can and maybe you'll find the right solution for you I'm not going to say there's a right solution it's not the same for every woman because each case is unique to the circumstances
If I remember you said you're about to have a son have you thought about talking to your gynecologist about your abusive relationship it's just a thought but typically especially those doctors those that deal with women on a daily basis typically they have resources and have knowledge of resources and they may be able to help you I don't know your situation I don't know how violent your partner could be that you have to ask yourself is your partner going to be the type of violent person that may hurt your son my dear I will keep you in my prayers please stay safe you know just ask yourself what is worth staying with someone like that I know it's hard but I have to believe you're truly trying to start thinking of a way out because you're at least starting to speak out, I know it's hard I stayed in abusive relationship for 7 year's, then in another one for 14 years. Did you know most deaths of women are committed by someone they know a boyfriend, husband, ex-boyfriend, ex-husband. That speaks volumes dear be safe,

Two things I want to STATE Out, one dcf sometimes destroys families not help them, two every relationship is not perfect verbal negative words will be said sometimes it doesn't mean automatically abuse. When things negatively become physical then it's time for action to be taken. None of us are perfect but it's up to all of us to keep our temper and frustrations in check. Patience, tolerance, understanding and keeping emotions in check especially when blinded by anger is the key. You can't take back what you've said or done without thinking.

But when I ended up in Hospital for trying to commit suicide and found out no such thing existed ( my thinking that it was wrong) in the Bible. So I beat him up. TWICE.
He ended up wanting Medical attention, instead. But he was too embarrassed to get it.
If I had known that, our marriage might have been different. Because he would have stopped hitting me sooner.
My experience taught me something. -;Not all skin teeth is laughter. -. I am grateful.

His dad has hit me all our married life and it hasn't done me any harm" I told her that just by saying that sentence proved just how much harm he had done.

I just found your channel today, and I'm so glad I did!! I LOVE your videos! Your actors are so professional! 👏👏👏
I am currently an ongoing survivor of verbal and emotional abuse and former physical abuse, but I'm stuck...he is bedridden and cannot care for himself. I cannot leave him in his condition.
However, every day, he verbally and emotionally abuses me. I stay strong and do my best not to let it damage my self-esteem, but I feel that I am stronger than most women.
I've been through a lot in my life, including sexual abuse when I was very young up until I was about 20-by different people! I feel like I must've had VICTIM written across my forehead!!
I've been raped 4 times by different guys...I was always in the wrong place at the wrong time...
But, I found the most wonderful man who is my soul mate in 1985. We were married over 30 years until he passed away in 2016.
Now, I have another man who I wish I had never met!! He was so kind, caring, and loving until he moved in with my family. Then, he became a MONSTER.
He daily ridicules me and puts me down...he laid hands on me one time in our relationship, but he knew I was seriously angry with him, and I would've made him leave if he EVER touched me again!! In fact, he called his doctor the next day to tell him what had happened. The doctor doubled his anger medication!
But, while here, Karma stepped in; he has slipped and fallen several times in the bathtub or in the floor, which has fractured his back in several places! But, being the kind, Christian woman I am, I take care of him...
Today is his 64th birthday, but it's not a happy one. He's been very sick and on the verge of death several times in the past few months...I just pray for him daily that he will change and be saved, but I doubt that he will...
So, I'm stuck with him until one of us passes away...I can't make him leave because he is a very vengeful person who has threatened to do something to my family just to hurt me...
At least, he is unable to physically harm me anymore! And, he is only getting weaker every day as his muscles are becoming atrophied.
Please, always treat people with kindness, caring, love, and respect, but do not stay in an abusive relationship if there is any way out!!
There are thousands of women's shelters all across the country that will help you get on your feet and help you find a job.
For those of you who are abusers, always remember...Karma's a b*tch...and then you die!!

Yes it's great to see the help available nowadays, back in 1983 there wasn't except to go underground, and with 4 children how could you manage that and friends and family turned their back did not want to get involved and the so called church friends did not want anything to do with me, the pastor told me I would go to hell if I left my husband he even wrote a letter to the court recommending my husband get custody of the kids, I was bewildered bcz the church had done family counseling for years my son and walked around with black eyes and bruises all the time so the church was aware, I couldn't believe the righteousness but the Lord be praised with a lot of hard work things turned around for me believe a lot of bad memories but they're just that

You are one of the few women that had the courage to leave, and it is worse when you have kids. I also had an Abusive husband, and my mother helped me by hiding me in another state. My son was only 1yr old. I lived in a cheap hotel in San Francisco. Several years ago, my ex-husband killed a man, kidnapped a Sheriff, went to prison for life, and died their because he had hepatitis c from being a drug user. So you see, some of us were able to move on. Good For You!!

Abusive relationships in all aspect of life is horrible. More women are abused then men.
This is an informative and eye opener to all Race and Greed.
Men need to come out and exposed this to the World. Forget about your man-hood and pride.
We need friends like the ones in the movies: They did not give up.
We need to help and not judge one another.
    Amen

Being married doesn't give you the upper hand to abuse an control your spouse that's not a safe an healthy relationship !!! Nobody should have to put up with that !!! don't feel that abuse is ok and its normal don't lie or make excuses for your abuser Get the help you need to save yourself !!! Especially if someone is stepping up to help! real friends are there for you they won't stay quiet an ignore the signs of abuse !
If you see something say something !! Very important !!!
Abusers are nothing but selfish cowards who deserve to be behind bars for the rest of there life !!!

A lot of women wouldn't have a problem leaving a man who is struggling financially. But they won't leave a man who is physically abusive

She was acting in the extreme..I think a majority of the abused are much better at hiding the facts. It can be very subtle..abusers are sometimes very careful not to leave bruises where they are visible. Abusers also use a formula of brain washing to the point the abused actually blames themselves for the abuse. YES friends should help but also be aware of how you help so that the person isn't put in imminent danger. Awareness can save a life of misery or a life.
