it will get you from point A to Point B but with some work. i had to learn how to to paddle with the oars properly because they kept hitting my knees, i eventually got a 280CM Kayak paddle that i would keep with me and it made paddling in the boat 100X better. i highly recommend having a motor as its the best way to move around but a kayak paddle is what i use in the shallows when the motor has to come up . the kayak paddle just moves me better and i prefer to paddle forwards than backward with the oars . The Leverage is okay but the area the Oars connect to will give way a little bit if you have not inflated the boat the the recommended 3.2 PSI Can you use them to move around? yes but i wouldn't recommend it you dont have the best control .
its been great ! i needed a boat that i could stand up and fish in . My Condo management told me i couldn't store my kayak on my patio so i got one of these . When folded up and in its bag - it fits in my hallway closet which is amazing. after the stability- the material of the boat was what impressed me the most . its a very rugid and tough material that i have bounced countless lures off of including the whopper plopper as shown in this video ( Whopper plopper has incredibly sharp hooks ) . I have driven the boat onto shallow land and on rocks . still holding up strong after 2 years of use . when filled to its 3.2 PSI the boat is incredible stable and strong . while standing i can access the back area or swivel my seat around and dangle my legs off the back no issues . having the 360 degrees available on swivel seat is very nice while angling tight waters like creeks . buying from sea eagle directly gets you a warranty but i bought mine off a seconds hand resale sight ( might of been craigslist) Brand new they are still retailing for $799 which is the price they were 3 years ago when i bought mine . i negotiated the price of mine down to $650 with the Minn Kota Trolling motor . i think its a great boat given the conditions i had ( Living in a condo with no where to store a boat or a kayak ) set up process doesn't take that long once you have a process down , Takes me about 20-30 minutes . This is where i think i kayak is better because unstrapping from the roof and getting on the water only used to take about 5 minutes . its all about personal preference and your living conditions. but in my honest opinion this boat changed the way i look at inflatable fishing boats ( High Quality ones ) Sea eagle is a great company and has responded to my questions and they are great with Customer Service .
