“Not Guilty” and “Innocent” don’t always mean the same thing.

There’s a reason why innocent people go to jail due to tempering of evidence.
Nobody said OJ was innocent of murder. Everyone basically said he was guilty of murder but acquitted due to tempering of evidence.
Dershowitz said it best; When told he could be honest.
His reply? "No I can't. I'm a lawyer.'
You have no idea on what a lawyer is supposed to do. You defend the client. Hillary Clinton vigorously defended rapists of little girls.

Dear Marc Lamont Hill: They did not plant that glove. Tell us how Fuhrman acquired the exact mate to a pair of gloves purchased by Nicole Simpson in 1990??? Get real.
Dershowitz is not being fair regarding the EDTA issue. OJ's lawyers called Roger Martz , an FBI agent, to testify as to the presence of EDTA on the sock. Martz testified that the amount of EDTA on the sock was so low that it could not have come from OJ's preserved blood. OJ' s lawyers were then forced to call a very unimpressive witness to testify that there was a sufficient amount of EDTA to conclude that it was planted.
Fuhrman f this case of, because he wâs and still is a racist thug
Good point. But if my memory serves correctly. The planted glove was allegedly picked up at the crime scene and then planted at OJ's home.
@@rhondabitler5474 More than 13 officers were already at Bundy before Fuhrman ever arrived. They all put in their notes that only one glove was observed at Bundy. The DA never bothered to put them all on the stand to counter the "he planted it" BS from people like Dick-o-witz.

That's the tendency.
Facts. If he would went to jail on bogus evidence. Whites would be happy.
The evidence didn't show Mr. Simpson murdered those two people. Further, common science conveys that there is no way he could have brutally killed one person while the other pary awaited their turn.
Mark Furman exercised his Fifth Amendment right when cross examined about planting evidence in this case.
If a police officer applied for a pension because he hates Black people so much he can't bear to continue to work. He is also likely to have planted evidence in a murder case.
Alan Dershowitz is being disingenuous with these socks. There was no blood on the socks that was poured. There was blood splatter plus smears where someone with bloody hands removed the socks from their own feet.
Additionally, edta is a preservative in most foods and is in almost everyone’s blood system from eating processed foods.

EDTA in food will not show up in dna results, esp if you not looking for it; and esp in high volumes. I think OJ prob was at the scene amd he may have done it, but the LAPD showed up and did things with evidence that they shouldn’t have.
Once that detective pleaded the 5th in a murder trial, it was over.

They’re designed to stretch. You can see in previous pics how snug they fit.
Toobin is not arguing like a lawyer, he is saying "ignore the facts and go with your emotions"

You missed it, I saw the mushroom head at the bottom of his screen! Also he was jerking around, no pun intended
Why do you need to plant evidence on a guilty person?
Because you don't trust the jury system,
No one planted evidence.
DNA was brand new to the scene, and people didn't even know what it was. Until then, only blood typing could be done.
But even if you completely disregarded the sock evidence, you still had their mixed blood in the Bronco, at the crime scene, on the gloves found on two different properties, OJs DNA on the cap at the crime scene, and so much more.
Even a juror, a little old black woman, went on TV and specifically said she didn't care what the evidence was, that the police got away with beating Rodney King, and this time they were getting back at the police for getting away with it. This trial had everything to do with race.
I wish someone asked Dershowitz why they went in OJs house and removed all the white people pictures throughout it, and replaced them with famous copies of black paintings and photos before the jury visited there. I want him to explain hiw ethical it was for them to rearrange OJs home to remove the "whiteness" from it, and insert all kinds of "black" items....
Dershowitz was just as much of a schemer and an unethical POS during that time to get OJ off. He knows OJ killed those people, but he doesn't have the conscience to care.
Even Robert Kardashian had enough of a conscience to look surprised and bewildered when the jury acquitted OJ.
@aquariusf6412 no evidence was planted and the lapd let oj beat his wife
he was a murderer and now he is dead
Racist Police Bottom line/ If there's. doubt about planted evidence in such a case//any case the jury must acquit. like he said the porscution lost this case. Any lawyer could have beat the case on the evidence that was used then the doubt about planting evidence is just too much too over come. If there's just a question about doubt for any reason then by law the jury needs to find not guilty. Especailly doubt about evidence. If they didn't use the gloves and there was no doubt about evidence I believe he would have been found guilty..
"The LAPD was so incompetent they could not frame a guilty person" All his lawyers and the Jurors have said of course he's guilty but because of Slavery 🤔 And the Riots a year or 2 before. Let me add that the cops that beat Rodney King should have gone to jail. King was in total submission and had it not been recorded, most would doubt it but King did not deserve that. Tragically the Left riots whenever things don't go their way.
Nicole was not important to the majority of the jury.
No OJ didn’t do it though imo they both just got themselves caught up with gangsters and drug money hearing from people close to them recently in interviews. Basically it sounds like she was killed for owing drug money OJ knew what happened and was told if he said anything his family would be killed. In the end I think karma worked it out probably about right OJ spending rest of his life under that cloud and not in prison.

She was a drunk junkie that owed lots of people money a lot of people wanted her dead if she didn't pay up

First, that is an assumption and second, that is pretty cold hearted. Even if you assume evidence was planted, a person murdered, brutally I might add, two other people
@@jenkinsljenkinssquire9137 it is because of people like you innocent people are thrown in jail. And the fact that you aren’t outraged that evidence was planted is because it happens to certain people more. Shame.

What’s even more mind blowing is how that’s even a form of law. I guess when civil law is factored in the decision it balances everything out. Fact#2: The DNA analysis presented in the evidence, found that the blood found was NOT conclusively OJ's . A fact so called "intelligent" people overlooked.
Fact#3: The OJ Trial SHOWS the PERMANENT divide between Black and White people. The Black jurors were called "stupid" and "low IQ" for coming to the verdict they did. The ARROGANCE of White people was FULLY displayed after the trial, all the way to the Civil Trial and the Vegas casse.
Gtfoh how bout releasing Nicole’s phones records the phone call she made to her mother leaving Dana point which proves she was alive while OJ was at the Airport.
Police did screw this case up from the jump. They covered the bodies with sheets from Nicole’s house which totally contaminated the entire crime scene. For whatever it's worth---when OJ's hand could not fit into the glove, I didn't put much credence into that, the reason being....I am an equestrian who spent most of my life around horses. I have had many an 'all' leather riding glove that seemed to have shrunk when I put it on, after it had dried after being soaked through with water. A certain type of leather when soaked with a liquid and then left to dry, can become extremely stiff and wrinkled as it dries, so that when you go to put the glove on again, it is a real struggle and as though it's a completely wrong size. In fact I remember having to throw away a pair of gloves because I couldn't fit into them after they were soaked through and then left to dry. Being soaked with blood would cause the same stiffening of the leather as water would, I think. Anyway, food for thought too many years late.

However, the defense neglected to mention to Rieders that one of those blood drops had been photographed being there prior to the reference vial existing, proving it couldn't have come from there.[134] Furthermore, Detective Vannatter, who was accused of planting the other blood drop on the sock never went inside the evidence van where the socks were stored which proves he didn't plant that blood either.[38] FBI special agent Roger Martz later demonstrated that the results were actually false positives from having tested the reference vials first before the evidence samples
Hey Alan, did the cops plant the Bruno Magli shoeprints at the crime scene???
Why not. If they put blood on oj sock they can also find the shoes you talk about
The only reason why the gloves didn’t fit is because they were soaked in blood and had shrunk because they were leather.
Also, he was wearing rubber gloves which made it even harder to put the leather gloves on.
And he was wearing latex gloves under them Total crock of shit!
False. He also tried on a brand new pair of the same size and they also didn't fit. I would love to see Glen Rogers try them on before they execute him in Florida.
@xavierb9061
Actually, it really will shrink the gloves. Also, he had a pair of white (rubber?) gloves on, which would make it more difficult for him to put the leather one on.
@frossbog
When did that happen? I watched the whole trial and I never saw him trying on a new pair of gloves in the courtroom.

I think you can read around his words, he's not saying oj was innocent, he just said he wasn't found guilty. He was to choose his words wisely or he could be disbarred....to my understanding. I wonder if that confidential attorney-client superseded the grave of oj.
Common sense should tell you that if you have to plant evidence on someone, they are innocent.
Amen
Watch "Why OJ Simpson Lost His Civil Trial". No evidence was planted, absolutely every single piece of evidence (including his testimony) prooved him guilty and there wasn't one shred of evidence pointing at him being innocent or not guilty.

OJ didn't want Nicole to date anyone but him. He was obsessed with her. He loved her, but didn't treat her like a human being, but just a slave to him. Furthermore, he had anger issues and didn't get help. Even after he killed her, he wanted to date women who looked like her. But instead, he became a total loser in the end. He destroyed his legacy as a human being.

Again, blame the justice system for this one ….
You are being emotional,we are talking about law and justice
What happened is the prosecution was very arrogant. They thought they were just going to walk through and get an easy verdict. There were multiple things happening that they weren't prepared for.
I wonder, have Gloria Allred and Alan Dershowitz ever had trials against each other?
Very educational video. Once OJ passed away it spurred me to revisit the entire story and I was astounded to learn there were mountains of evidence that was not permitted to be shown at the criminal trial. I was astounded to read about how regularly Nicole was beaten, and the patterns of behaviour from OJ. How he chased after very young women and did not hesitate to have extramarital affairs over and over. I was astounded to see the extent to which the police and the prosecution bungled the case. I was astounded to discover Oj was a hopeless sociopath. Those two people died very violent deaths . And sometimes life is not fair. I understand why the jurors elected to acquit but the interests of the victims and their families were not served and that is where the justice system can fall short, similar to when we read of instances where completely innocent people are incarcerated for many, many years . One can only hope that society learns from all of this. I know in Canada we have made great strides in mental health, violence against women, protecting the innocent, rooting out bad law enforcement, etc. But there's much more to be done. It's always going to be work in progress unfortunately.
You make good points and I agree. However, I think they would have acquitted had they saw video. This came down to race and a police department who was considered racist and corrupt.
"using white vehicles to escape black realities"
😂😂 That's hilarious and deep in so many ways. One of the best sentences I've ever heard 👏👏

Dude! OJ himself wrote a book called “If I did it” it he was literally bragging in the book and on live TV with yellow smirk on his face about how did he got away with murder.
The racist section of American society wanted O.J. to be killed or rott in prison because he was a talented Blackman.
Yes he basically confessed in that book! Millions knew he did it anyway!
The front of the book says if I did it and I did it where in red
His tv interview with Judith Regan made me want to puke. He slips from a hypothetical account of "if I did it" into a vivid blow by blow of what happened from his own lived experience. How he felt, what they said, all of it. He was smug as hell and thought he was untouchable.
Only the stupid people and the race grifters claim OJ was innocent.
This has been the most productive and well articulated conversation I've ever heard on this topic. Each person made a valuable contribution, even when their views diverged.
This man was found not guilty but responsible civilly. Gtfoh, only in Amerikkka
It was so overwhelmingly obvious that he killed them and I truly believe the one attorney was correct - they had enough on him to find him guilty regardless of the stupid mistakes the prosecution made, as well as the reprehensible actions of the police. You could tell by the look on his face that even OJ couldn't believe they found him not guilty. It is so heartbreaking for the Brown and Goldman family. I can't even imagine how horrible it must have been to see that (I'm sorry) vile man walking free, playing golf after he had nearly severed her head off with a knife. I have always thought that even he thought, deep down, that he deserved to go to prison and it wouldn't surprise me at all if that is why he got himself in trouble with the memorabilia - to soothe his guilty conscience. When he got out of the bronco after initially fleeting, they found a gun, a goatee, a mustache, adhesive for the disguise items, beauty store receipts, and his passport. And Cowling had $9,000 in his pocket.

Just try it, i have. If you have snug fitting leather gloves, put latex gloves on first, then try to put on your snug fitting leather gloves.
Gloves that were saturated with blood, stuffed in an evidence bag, then put on a shelf. They dryed out and shrunk!
The gloves would have fit for not all that.
If he was tried in Santa Monica, he would have been found guilty. Shame on LAPD police and the prosecution team. They were responsible for a guilty man walking.
Santa Monica! So in other words White jurors would have automatically found him guilty no matter what? How about the prosecution NOT having OJ try on the gloves?
