You are such a good teacher, I made a couple mistakes however everyone loved my ring when I finished it. Thank you. By the way love the music in the background, it was very relaxing.
Wow Kelly!😀Such an amazing ring!☺ And I absolutely loved hearing your voice, I love your accent very pretty! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent☺! Many blessings to you Kelly! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are by far the best instructor i have found on TH-cam. I attempted this ring and i just struggled with the stone. So i made this instead. I was going to show but im not sure how post a pic
Thank you so much, I was really nervous but it seemed to work out so much better and the editing is so much quicker. Thank you again, I really appreciate that 👍
Honestly at this point I'm just watching this video over while making the ring just because your voice and accent is really cute and I love it. I honestly find this way of wrapping better. Beautiful rings I'm trying to make this !!
If you hadn't told me I'd have not known this was your first "talkie"!! Very nice video & quite lovely ring!!! I will be trying it for sure. Thank you!!!
I love all of your tutorials so far. I am super excited to try this one because I love rings! You are so easy to follow and now love hearing your voice.
(Sorry im late to show my appreciation - busy week 😊) Another amazing piece! 😍 So happy you decided to start spoken instructions... even though you said you were nervous youve done an absolutely fantastic job! Looking forward to your future vids 💖
Your very welcome and thank you, I don't know why I was so nervous but it makes the video so much easier to edit not having to write everything on there 😁 🌹
Thank you so much for this lovely ring design Kelly, so helpful as I'm just moving on to rings from pendants, & wasn't too sure of the specifics! You have made it very clear..x
omg...the captioning heard you say "fire opal" & transcribed that as "fire from hell"...that must be one awesome stone! ;-) Keep up the good work, ma'am, I thoroughly enjoy your tutorials, ideas, & execution of your ideas & techniques!!
Such a relaxing vid, and a wonderful tutorial. I look forward to trying this out. I have a fancy for giving the rings and aged look, is that possible? Thank you so much, 💚Ireland
Most wire wrapping tutorials, the instructor has such grungy fingers and fingernails but your hands are immaculate and beautiful! Wow! Thank you - from someone who is watching this tutorial. 💜❤️🧡💛💚💙💚💛🧡❤️💜
love this one my sister made me a ring from this for Christmas thank you for sharing this one l have some of my resin pieces l am going to try and make rings from
i love this video, awesome job for the first talkie. LOL as someone who's learning the ropes of wire wrapping, i must admit that the music in the background sometimes made it kind of hard to hear what you were saying. the music is rather distracting and i'd love to watch and listen to you work without the background music. this is, of course, my preference, so you need to do whatever makes you feel comfortable. beautiful ring, can't wait to make one or two.
Thank you so much for the feedback, i wasn't aware that i mumbled till i watched this, but now i know to speak up 😂 hehe, thanks again, i would love to see your finished work, maybe on Facebook or Instagram??
QUESTION TO ANYONE WHO WOULD KNOW: I noticed she was making the weave a bit loose, is that because it is going to be a ring, essentially wrapped into a circle? The weave seems to have tightened up after she wrapped it around the mandrel but I could be mistaken. Then again I'm only 8:21 into the video but was curious as to why the weave seems so loose.
I wasn't aware I was working the weave loose. I try and not pull it too tight so I can compress the weave together to keep it tidy, if you work a weave tight it tends to get stuck and you can't slide it together. I think an ideal tension would be loose enough to slide a little but tight enough to look nice and tidy, hope that makes sense...😅
@Wow wow wow ! Just found this tutorial tonight. And gave it a whirl. So far ive been doing chain maille and my other hobby is card making.i asked for a ring mandrel for xmas, and have only attempted ONE basic ring so far. Until tonight! I didnt have a flat backed gem, but i DID have some sticky flat backed gems which i use on my cards lol ( but i was only practising right?! Lol) Anyway, i took my time, and fiddled and faffed and ohhhhhh its lovely! (Hubby asked " my god! how did you do that? Its spectacular! " I wont lie, it came out too big but im gonna try again. My only issue was, when i finished the weave, and had to wrap the 6 wires together where the stone was meant to go, i couldnt get it tight enough, and it was springing open a bit, which contibuted to making the ring 2 sizes too big. Any tips please kelly? X
Oh fantastic, that comes with practice, mine tend to change size too.😅 Keep putting it back on the mandrel, then adjust if you need to, work a little, then go back on the mandrel. It does get easier with time 👍💕
I think you could use a 10mm cab, at a push, it would look big and may get in the way when worn. I really wouldn't recommend any bigger but it's entirely up to you. If you wanted to do a really big one you could start with more wires so it's got more at the centre to hold it in place 👍 thank you 🌹
🤗 Love This Tutorial 👌🏼 ✨ And I wan wanted to ask you If you know where can I find This Exact ring mandrel like this That has a gab to place the Beads To prevent from moving around 😉 😊
I love this tutorial! You're directions are absolutely perfect. I'm worried about the stone though. I'm worried that if I made this ring it wouldn't stay in so...what do you think about gluing the stone in before wrapping around it?
I don’t like to see glue, it’s like cheating 😅 (but that’s just my view) mine stays in, I wear it every day. Maybe make a few to practice with first, it is a tricky one to master ❤️
FYI...A beading cloth of velour or felt or even a towel on your work surface will keep your stones/beads from escaping. Keeps my cat from getting to my focals before I can snag them back!
Unwrap the weaving wire a little and finish it with a few wraps, then start a new piece of weaving wire and try to start on a different wire so you can't see the join too much, push your weaves together as you go. Hope this helps 🌸
You could give it a go, just take it slow. Best to have a play around with the wire first, practice a few bends and weaves. I have done a beginners video you may want to watch first. I’ll find a link...
Yeah..everyone says make them a size bigger, so the first one I made ended up being a size bigger than I wanted it to be! I think if you’re careful with measuring and checking as you go, you maybe should just make them to size.
Yes i agree. I normally do that and sometimes then end up a bit smaller but on this video mine actually ended up bigger. I think with a little more practice we could just make them to the right size by being extra careful and keep checking the size as you said 👍
Hi what is the make of the wire you use is it dead soft. I’m looking for dead soft I am just starting out and find the wire I have too hard to work with. Thankyou

I made a few for myself and decided to change the sides. I leave that short now with little curls for the ones I actually sell. You can also take the wires around the stone the other way too, that looks nice.
Your voice is pleasant, and I love music, but cannot say I’m able to tolerate that repetitive background music. I found before without it was easy to watch your videos. I tend to do my own thing anyway. But I have enjoyed your skills and learned a few things thus far. Thank you
After I wrote my comment I read some other comments about it. I now understand why the music was used. I didn’t realize this was one of you first videos? You do excellent narrating instructions and your voice is lovely and soothing. I play guitar myself and as much as I appreciate it, while focusing it is challenging, glad you are confident now without it. Placing it on mute takes away from your useful instructions. I love this ring. How much would sell it for in your part of the world?
That would depend on what wire you used and the stone, also the quality of the craftsmanship 👍

I bought this one off ebay years ago, I'm sorry I don't have a link. I never thought it was for beads, thanks 😊

Fiddly but very beautiful. I dare not show you what mess I got myself into lol
Hehe, thank you ❤️
Beautiful ring but I was wandering if I can use regular copper wire as I find round wire a bit expensive.
I think you'll be ok as long as the hardness is ok, you can use what ever you like it's just the sizes of the wire I would recommend ❤️
FYI...A beading cloth of velour or felt or even a towel on your work surface will keep your stones/beads from escaping. Keeps my cat from getting to my focals before I can snag them back!
Ooo brilliant! Thank you 👍
Awwwww nice to HEAR you. Ty ty ty
Thank you so much, so now i know that i mumble 😂 hehe thanks again 🌹🌹🌹
Did you use round cabochon stone?
Yes 👍
Kelly, can you use a small cabochon instead of a stone?
Yes, I use a flat backed cabochon.
I love it. Thank you so much
You're very welcome ❤️
I’m trying to do this ring. What do you do when your 28ga breaks? Can you somehow weave a new section in?
Unwrap the weaving wire a little and finish it with a few wraps, then start a new piece of weaving wire and try to start on a different wire so you can't see the join too much, push your weaves together as you go. Hope this helps 🌸
Thanks much
Is this possible to do with a round bead?
I haven't tried it but yes give it a go. Should work fine 🙂
Great video! I just started wire wrapping. Should I wait to try this one until after I have a bit more practice or is it suitable for a beginner?
You could give it a go, just take it slow. Best to have a play around with the wire first, practice a few bends and weaves. I have done a beginners video you may want to watch first. I’ll find a link...
